Post-game depression is a very common phenomenon based on a concept known as parasocial relationships, or an attachment to fictional characters. One of the best ways to deal with it is the same way you would deal with any sort of grieving, and that is to focus on things that you enjoy and make you feel comforted. You could try watching your favorite TV show or reading a good book series. Even journaling about your experience might be helpful.

Play a game on Custom mode. Turn on: Hide NPC Health Hide failed perception checks Hide difficulty class during rolls Along with whatever other difficult settings you want. It's a fresh, and nerve-wracking, experience without HP and DCs displayed!

After finishing my honor mode run I went back to tactician to save everyone I failed to save on honor. Having fun again, enjoying way riskier strats and a party comp Im not comfortable with yet.

Personally i tossed myself in solo HM so i get something new to do and it is fun (actually act 2 for my latest solo). Then i think i will run HM in team while MC every origin characters to have every unique dialogues stuff etc. Then i guess that will be all, every good thing has a beginning and an ending. There will be more good games. As good as BG3 in the genre ? Well surely not before a while but how to complain about it, not all company will be willing on spending a ton of years to produce great games, and life provides enough stuff to do meanwhile.

No I don’t feel that way. Just start a new run and play different class and different party members

Honor mode challenges are actually pretty fun. Custom difficulty settings also spice things up a lot.

(Sorry, goofy question: is my past comment visible now (starting with "I'm nowhere near an honour run...")? The comment originally got auto-deleted because of a formatting error in a "spoiler-tagged" sentence (which I then edited and removed)...)

Not to me.

Thx! 😊 Will re-post!

I'm nowhere near an honour run, and I haven't even finished the game ONCE yet, but I know what you mean... the game is so immersive and intense and deep, that it's kind of like a sugar rush or adrenaline high (or what I imagine a drug high would be like)... and when you come down from it, with the awareness that you've done the "first time" (and won't again), it feels kind of depressing and deflating! What works for me (your mileage may totally vary...lol!) is to get out and jog, especially in places where there are trees and grass around (and animals help, too! I might be weird for this, but I love squirrels! 😁 I've even had one "race" me for a few steps, on a jog! Haha!). It gets me in touch with real life again, and the workout burns off the extra adrenaline flowing through my system (and there's a lot of it when I game, or do something immersive that has me on the edge of my seat), and gets endorphins in my system, which makes me feel LOTS better, even without trying. If exercise isn't your thing, then I'd still suggest taking a walk where there's living things (grass, etc.--and feel free to touch it as you go! Hehe! 😁). It clears my head, and it might help with the "post-game blues"? Very best wishes to you! πŸ₯°
