I'm 90 hours into Honour Mode in the House of Hope, earlier today I broke Hope's chains and when I loaded the save again Astarion spawned in under the stage and died there (blue dot near the centre of the screen).
Karlach **ALSO** spawned in under the stage, but thankfully she suddenly jumped back up onto real ground, Astarion wasn't so lucky.
It's hard to tell but Astarion's soul echo is a good 20 metres east and 10 metres down, way out of reach of any revivify spells/scrolls. Obvi since Hope is free I already have the hammer and can't leave, so I guess I'm stuck fighting Raphael without him?
Love this game, love the idea of honour mode, but man sometimes the game bugs out and *really* fucks with your chances

Between you / me / anyone else who stumbles on this thread that's been the plan from the get go. Karlach's holding 5x smokepowder barrels, x26 smokepowder bombs, and the runepowder bomb (just in case)
Still it would've been nice if Astarion didn't randomly die, a genuine concern for people who haven't spent all game stockpiling explosives specifically for Raphael
My favorite way to beat him is to just blow him and his sidekicks up with the bombs, but the last time I home invaded him I just stunned him with my monk Durge and then jumped him with 2 devas and a myrmidon while Astarion played Sins and Gods in the back round.

You can take out everyone in the Raphael fight with the rune powder.
