I'm Eugene Roe
"You share Lt. Eugene Roe's empathetic and supportive nature, along with a strong focus on the well-being and safety of your comrades. Your ability to stay calm under pressure, prioritize personal development, and provide personal support align with Lt. Roe's characteristics."
When I was a young PFC in the first gulf war I admired the heroic infantry LT or Captain charging a hill and I day dreamed of being that guy. Large and in charge. I’ve been retired now from the Army for about ten years and served another tour in Iraq in 09. Now I admire the Lipton’s of the world. Calm, quiet, caring. You know they have your back.
The Army needs the Dick Winters, the guy who charges forward because that’s what we’re supposed to do but it also needs a Lipton. I have served under 7-8 different Battery Commanders and it works well to have a good cop bad cop. Sometimes it’s the Battery Commander who is the good cop and the First Sergeant who is the bad cop or vice versa.
When both are soft you could have a soft unit or the platoon sergeants have to absorb all the extra pressure and since they are closer to you that means you feel the heat more. If they are both too hard it can scare the shit out of the platoon sergeants and scared platoon sergeants are a disaster on the battlefield.
Lipton and Winters were a great set of leaders but I’d rather be a Lipton.
I want mortars and grenade launchers on that building til it’s gone when it’s gone I want first to go straight in forget going around everybody else follow me
"You are most like Captain Lewis Nixon"
“Captain Lewis Nixon and I were together every step of the way from D-Day to Berchtesgaden, May 8, 1945 - VE-Day. I still regard Lewis Nixon as the best combat officer who I had the opportunity to work with under fire. He never showed fear, and during the toughest times he could always think clearly and quickly. Very few men can remain poised under an artillery concentration. Nixon was one of those officers. He always trusted me, from the time we met at Officer Candidate School. While we were in training before we shipped overseas, Nixon hid his entire inventory of Vat 69 in my footlocker, under the tray holding my socks, underwear, and sweaters. What greater trust, what greater honor could I ask for than to be trusted with his precious inventory of Vat 69?”

Lt. Meehan. RIP me I guess.
>Your leadership style is encouraging and supportive, and you excel at clear communication and analytical decision-making. Your primary motivation is survival and safety, and you handle fear by relying on your training. You are empathetic, a planner by nature, and value intelligence in your comrades. Your strength lies in teamwork, and you understand the importance of effective communication for a successful mission. You manage resources by prioritizing needs and believe in personal development for training. Your adaptability and strategic planning skills make you a valuable asset in safeguarding others.
In all reality I'm probably like Blithe. Crack under pressure, then as soon as I get over the stress to actually function I get shot in the neck.
I wouldn't have been mad with Lipton, Buck, or Bull... got Winters! Second best compliment I've ever gotten behind when someone told me "you don't work like a desk jockey"
I got Lt Winters.
Hell yeah.
“Congratulations! Your answers align closely with the leadership qualities and values of Lieutenant Richard

Hope to live up to this description:
