I'm being very classy and only executing the Rich amd Very Rich clan members. Poor members get released and Average wealth npcs will depend on how their character acts toward me. It has begun....

With someone not liking you/ absolutely hating you, you run the risk of losing your own head, should you be captured.

ColFantastic

True. I'm at an influence/power level where I almost always win my engagements. I'm so close to finishing, I'm going to run the risk.

use perks that makes prisoners unable to escape jail, and put all your prisoners there. They will be there for a very very long time, giving you time to explore and enjoying the game

SpencerReid11

If you don’t have the riding and steward 225 perks to stop prisoners escaping then for the sake of getting the campaign done yeah you could start chopping. I’ve not had to resort to it yet but before I dropped everything to get those perks I’d be running into parties whos lord i captured 20 mins ago, they’d escaped and attacked me again that quick, gets annoying for sure.

ColFantastic

I have the Steward Perk but I do not have the Riding one yet. Have to see how close I am when I get home. Yes, I agree, it can be VERY annoying to have then make such a quick return every time. I assume they empty the garrisons of whatever settlements they own to refill their army ranks? I couldn't wait for more feedback last night, so I started taking the heads of Rich or higher Clans and releasing the Poor clan members. A lot of people hate me but none have been able to defeat me in battle regardless. I have 3 more Imperial cities and 10ish Imperial castles to wipe out the Northern and Southern Empires. I'm going to have to let Aserai and Khuzait fuck up my eastern settlements until I can focus on them after. Still a great game!

You don't need really "need" to execute anyone. If you're feeling you can't handle the amount of enemies, it's usually just a sign of a sub-optimally managed campaign.
