Try going over that line with motions towards down, tapping on it. It worked wonders for me

Mr_barber_

This. Sounds like user error to me. Yeah the babyliss is a better machine, but it just does the work faster.

Publius69420

I always run my foils downward at the top near the skin line and that should soften things up enough that when you come up at it and flick it should not cause any lines and if it does just hit those spots going downward again till they erase. Hope this helps

Danny1238

ty i’ll use this advice on my next haircut. i’m kinda dumb so do you just go with the grain for a bit then flick out

Publius69420

Hit the very top going down 2 or 3 times then start at the bottom going up but as you get to the section where you went down flick out into it. If there’s still a line tap it going downwards.

myplasmatv

Can you use your detailers to get the line out? That’s how I connect all your fades to the foil line.

Danny1238

yeah but with all other foil shavers i use i can usually flick out near the top and it doesn’t leave a harsh line

Natural-Hamster-3998

I had that shaver in barber school, or maybe it was a knock off; either way I got a BaByliss and I've never had a problem since

panzerkrau

Why do you think they are from a reputable brand

MeatShield12

I have the Babyliss FX3, and what sometimes helps start to blur the line out is to go sideways towards the top, where I want to start blending out.

sweeneyty

u gotta use a sorta cross hatch diagonal flick to not make a line when fading to bald. veer up and left a little, up and right a little and repeat...atleast thats what i did all day today, sooo.

marko95x

Style craft is ass lol

Disastrous_Battle240

Your first problem is that is an image of foil shavers from the web, and it’s really difficult to use an image of foil shavers to cut someone’s hair. Second, if they stink, they stink.

Danny1238

what

dante_2993

He was prolly drunk

Disastrous_Battle240

Nah, I was making a joke because this is the image they use on their website and not a picture of your actual foil shaver. It’s impossible to tell if something seems off. I.e. bad alignment, broken cover, general defects without a picture of the actual device. Sometimes top tier priced foil shavers just don’t work that well, even if you are just using them differently from the next guy. So sometimes “they just stink”
