What do you mean these are elite franchises that only bring joy to there fanbases…much like the Cleveland Browns which OP should also consider becoming a fan of if he also wants to start following the NFL :)
I mean sure but they are such a historic franchise I’m sure this guy would love to be fans of the team. I mean arguably the greatest player ever used to play for them…those fans are so lucky
Started with the Trailblazers in '19, honestly it was heartbreaking to watch Dame put in 50+ in the playoffs in the bubble and still lose to the Lakers.
Try the San Antonio Spurs, they have an exciting first year player named Victor Wembanyama who could be the best player in the world and one of the best of all time in a few years. They are one of the worst teams in the league right now but they had one of the winningest cultures in the history of the league until very recently.
Yeah, as much as it pains me to recommend NOT the team i'm a fan of when it comes to "picking a team that doesn't win too much" (Go Blazers!) hard to disagree with this as the proper choice.
Wemby is still mostly potential, so if you get on the bandwagon now, you're doing it SOLIDLY before he's truly in that MVP conversation and it'll be way more fun when he actually gets there.
Spurs are definitely an interesting team to watch, and I'm not saying that as a long time Spurs fan. It's genuinely going to be interesting to see if they can put around a contending team to support Wemby. I'm also interesting in seeing how these last few years of Pop's career play out.
Whatever team you pick is going to have ups and downs. 5 years is a long time in the league.
I’d recommend a team in the eastern time zone, so you have a chance of actually watching games.
And I’d recommend choosing the team based on the city they’re in. That way you can come see a game sometime and enjoy the city.
Based on that, I’d go with either the Knicks, the nets, the 76ers, or the Heat.

Get on the ground floor of the Raptors rebuild. It’s the only team outside the US so an international fan for the international team sounds like a great fit!
NBA teams are split into the Eastern and Western conferences. At the end of the regular season, 8 teams from each conference advance into the playoffs, to eventually crown that season's champion.
Boston finished top of the Eastern conference table, so they're the #1 seed.
Think Man City having to play a quarterfinal against Spurs at the end of last season.
Np.
Heat and San Antonio are interesting teams that meet your criteria for interesting players and don't always win.
For time zone reasons, a team from the East coast is probably best for you if you want to actually watch games and not just highlights the day after.
They finished 1st in their conference after the regular season. So they play against 8 seed (finished 8th in the regular season). First team to win 4 times. So Miami Heat as a huge underdog already won 1 game and took home court advantage. And let me tell you that it is not the first time they are doing that during the last few years.
as a warriors fan don't pick the warriors it makes you lose your mind and treat every day like it's a gonna be an underdog type rocky movie 😭we still can't help but think we can win another so yeah if you don't want to get diagnosed with delusion just steer clear of warriors and lakers and follow any other team with realistic expectations so you can have a happy life
I’d watch NBA highlights on YouTube, or perhaps a few of the playoff games that are/will be on for the next few weeks and see what team entertains you/ which team you gravitate towards the most. It’s best to naturally become a fan of a team rather than picking.
For example, (college ball but still applies) I became a Kansas Jayhawks fan just from simply watching them play in the tournament many years back, I liked their colors I liked their logo I liked their players I liked their coach and I loved their home floor/crowd. I didn’t have to pick a name out of hat, didn’t have to get recommendations, just naturally became a fan of them and couldn’t wait to watch their next game(s).
EDIT: also idk if you play ball in real life but a team you could relate to as well would be a good choice. Maybe a team that does a lot of the things on the court that you like to do on the court.
It’s a good idea to pick an eastern team so you can watch their games easily and a young one so you have some continuity with players for a few years. The Knicks or Magic seem like good picks. Maybe Cleveland?
I would recommend a younger organization that is on the up and up, or a well established and good cultured team.
San Antonio is a team that has a generational talent in Wembanyama who will likely be the next face of the league. He just had a historic rookie year and has insane potential. His team wasn't great but the organization has a real nice professionalism tied to it.
Oklahoma City just finished with the 1st seed in the Western conference and is looking like they'll be a powerhouse mainstay for a long time.
Denver has one of the most interesting big men the game has ever seen in Nikola Jokic, his team just finished as the champions of 2023 and are looking to defend their title. This is a team with a good culture.
Minnesota has one of the most complete teams with solid depth but incredible defense and leadership. Anthony Edwards is going to be an all NBA mainstay very, very soon.
Miami just like Denver has a very good culture that has been existing since when I first started watching the NBA back in 2008. Erik Spoelstra is arguably the best coach in the league despite the fact that the Heat seem to do very mediocre in the regular season. They do a lot with very little and it just works.
New York has a great identity as a halfcourt offense with suffocating defense and strong depth. Tom Thibodeau is one of the true taskmasters in the game and loves the old school grindy style contests.
Indiana has an up and coming relatively young group with a very dynamic offense that just had the best scoring season in NBA history. Tyrese Haliburton is the best passing point guard in the league and is only going to get better.
I would recommend these teams.
Sacramento kings!! We’ve had a painful past but the future is bright. The fans are super passionate and the atmosphere at games might be the craziest in the league. oh and we have a super fan named Danny from the UK
Fellow fan from the UK. I don’t follow a team in the way that I would in other sports in the UK (local football/rugby teams etc).
I just follow players that I like and watch their games. Luka, Jokic, Anthony Edwards.
Also I recommend getting into Fantasy Basketball, that helps get some ‘skin in the game’ in terms of people to support.
San Antonio Spurs- They have the best young player in the league who has a really bright future. You won't regret supporting them.
Orlando Magic- They have a great young team that will only get better with time. If you like defense, this is the team for you.
Milwaukee Bucks- A strong team with a unique player in Giannis Antetokounmpo. He doesn't shoot 3s like everyone else in the league and is very athletic. They're a winning team but they are exciting because you'll never know if they'll win their next game. Being a Bucks fan stresses me out sometimes...
if you want now, miami heat. they are always underrated. but had 2 finals appearance in 4 years. they are overlooked during playoffs, but surprises everyone.
The Magic have a pretty good following in the UK as a result of the number of tourist visitors to Orlando each year. There’s even a UK-based Orlando Magic YT channel/community out there that you could engage in.
The Magic are also a young team on the rise that (hopefully) will be competitive for the next several years.
Just a thought :)
Id recommend the Pacers. Theyre in the Eastern conference which will make games easier to catch. They run a really fun fast paced game that is super exciting and are young with a bunch of room to grow. Theyre a solid young team. Not dominant, but they go on streaks of looking amazing. Theyre also in the playoffs rn so you can catch some of their games
Id also recommend the Knicks they have are super fun and play much more team oriented compared to the rest of the top teams. Theyre exciting because no one thought they would be good, but have a super fun culture
Heat are awesome. Their roster made the finals in 2020 and 2023 aswell as being a shot away in 2022. They have arguably the best coach in the league and even with their best player out took a game off the best team in the league in the playoffs. Theyre super big underdogs. I would say go for it.
Support Boston Celtics. They aren't winning much now. But they are a historically great team that has won everything there is to win. Sort of like AC Milan in Football. Their time will come back again sooner or later.
Watch videos on Larry Bird and Bill Russell to get started.
Houston Rockets are a good young team that’s fun to watch…the Hornets are another one with a good young player and they have the best commentator in the league

Watch games and find players you admire. This will lead you to a team. I grew up in Michigan and while most people in my state were Detroit Pistons fans, I really liked Larry Bird. I then became a fan of the Boston Celtics and learned about their history and to this day I'm a huge Celtics fan. I've been with them when they won 67 games and I've been with them when they lost 67 games. Over time I've loved this team greatly. No regrets. (Well, I regret the refs cheating them in the fourth quarter of Game 7 in 2010.)
OG Anunoby is from the Uk and is considered a great defensive player and as a Raptors fan it pains me to say , but the Knicks are an exciting young team who deserve some consideration
The Charlotte Hornets, bro. 1000%. Don’t win many games at all right now, but are growing a lot as a team and making a bunch of positive moves. Young team as well.
You don't really need to support a team, you can be a basketball fan and just enjoy good games.
Watch as many games as you can (especially now that the Playoff started, it's the best time of the season) and eventually you'll find your favourite teams and players.
Do your own research, find a player you like or the style of play that teams play and start from there. Or you can do what I did back in the 90s and just support the team that has the coolest jersey, Toronto Raptors in my case.
Old design with raptor not this new bullshit.
I would try pick somewhere you have a connection with or you might visit and go to a game.
I support the Clippers as my brother lives in Los Angeles and no way am I following the Lakers.
It helps tickets to Clippers games are considerably cheaper and you hardly ever see Clips merch here in the UK which adds a bit of uniqueness.
Avoid the bulls, Celtics, warriors & Lakers. Their tat that is sold everywhere now.
I would say the Knicks, Clippers, Nets, New Orleans, Raptors, Miami, Orlando possibly the Wizards, Sixers might be good choices as you might visit these cities.

it's easier to find something that connects you with the area if you want to stick with the team through thick and thin. you also don't have to have a team, just watch and enjoy the Craft in the game and you'll find something eventually
*I'd try finding a*
*Player who's playstyle you really*
*Like and go from there*

I'm a San Antonio fan regularly, but in the current playoffs I'm enjoying watching OKC and Chet. I'm also rooting for the Heat and for the Mavs. Sometimes it's okay to not have your team killing you every time they play and just enjoying the ball.
The NBA is a league of big personalities. Watch press conferences, interviews, podcasts and find the guy you think is just overall dope. It’s a lot of fun rooting for a player who you get to see and hear a lot of off the court.
I recommend the Clippers because Paul George and his podcast are awesome
Whatever you do don’t pick the Atlanta Hawks.
I grew up in Atlanta and was a big Hawks fan. We’ve had some decent teams over the years but couldn’t quite get over the hump.
Then came the 2018 NBA draft. The Hawks had the 3rd pick. The obviously (to me) best player in the draft was Luka Doncic. He was 18 years old, tall, and dominating the second best league in the world. Somehow, SOMEHOW, the first 2 teams pass on him and he falls to the Hawks at 3, who take him. And then promptly trade him for an undersized PG who can’t play any defense. That guy, Trae Young, actually turned out a lot better than I thought. He’s a very good player. But Doncic is an MVP candidate. But what bothered me wasn’t the outcome but the thought process. How could I continue to support a team that thought this was the right thing to do. This was after they fired their best GM ever several years earlier over ridiculous accusations of racism that an investigation cleared him of. They fired him AFTER the investigation. Like, they had the results, it cleared him, and they fired him anyway.
So between these 2 events, I just decided this wasn’t a team I wanted to continue to invest my time in. I don’t have to just be shat on the rest of my life because I was born in Atlanta. So I dumped them. I didn’t pick up another team. I don’t have a team now. I’m happier this way.
OCK fan here. One of the youngest teams in the USA. 3/5 of the starting lineup are Commonwealth. They don’t get the attention like other teams. People are quick to write them off… yet they hustle like anyone’s business and finished top of their conference.
I am a Lakers fan have been since 1998. They have been rough to watch through the LeBron saga. Lots of ups and downs. I also enjoy the Raptors because I live in Canada.
Kings, de aron fox, unique player, wins vs good teams, lose vs bad teams. so rollercoaster of emotions, no unlikeable players. Color scheme is good black/purple.
You should follow younger superstar so you will witness his journey. My recommendation is Luka, Wemby, Tatum, Zion, Edwards they are the most hype young NBA Talent. If you are more on underdogs Haliburton, Chet, Lamelo, Banchero, Maxey.
Honeslty just try to watch a mix of games. Teams play differently and you'll learn more about the game seeing different matchups. There are a ton of exciting teams to watch. The playoffs is going on now, so it's a great time to start checking out some of the top teams. In the NBA tanking is also common, where you lose and place bad on purpose, so you can get higher draft picks and rebuild your team to win a championship a few years down the line. Some teams stay relatively consistent but overall they have ups and downs over the years. A lot of teams I watched growing up that dominated the league were eventually some of the worst ranked teams watching as an adult. Unless you have a connection to a particular city, nothing wrong with just being a general fan of the NBA. You'll probably end up liking a team naturally over time.
The Houston Rockets would be a reccommendation for me. They’re a flourishing team with promising young pieces including Alperen Sengun, Jalen Green, Amen Thompson, Cam Whitmore, Tari Eason And Jabari Smith Jr. They made the biggest jump in wins from any team in the NBA this season from a previous season to the next (+19 wins) They also have the most wins from an 11th seed in NBA history.
They are a very intriguing, athletic and interesting team to watch. They recently got a coach in Ime Udoka and they signed multiple vets this season. They’re making a big turnaround and will continue to progress as a unit. If you want to see the most athletic, and improved team in this league I truly recommend you give them a look.
I recently started supporting them this year. My favorite player on the team is Rookie amen Thompson. A versatile 6’7 wing/point with a 44 inch vertical and spectacular game sense.
My pitch for the grizzlies, especially if u live in the south. We were the western 2 seed last season, unfortunately lost 4-2 by a more experienced lakers team while we were the youngest playoff team in the league if I’m not mistaken. This season we had horrible injury luck, whole team fit inside a Honda odyssey, exception reports filed every week.
We currently have 2 dpoys and 2 top 10 3 point shooters in the league, with inside Ja Morant (if you can stomach his controversies) a walking highlight reel.
We don’t win everytime, but in victories against high level teams like the bucks that we’ve been owning for a couple years straight, you’ll go to their sub and people will be questioning the future of their teams and calling to fire everybody.
And best of all in my view is that, as someone that lives in flyover country, I’m rooting for the closest team to me while most folks I live close to are rooting for large market teams that everyone’s watching. No championship yet but a whole lotta promise and genuine fun to be had over here in memphis.
No one will tell you this cuz we’re talking about a high risk high reward team. Worst case scenario you’re voting for a team that’s never won shit. As someone who’s generally a fan of teams east of texas and west of the Carolinas… north of florida south of Ohio… choosing saints over falcons always… most of my teams haven’t won shit at the pro level in my lifetime… I’m speaking as a fan with little to lose. I think you’ll feel the energy if you can afford to come to a Memphis grizzlies game when we’re healthy though, we’re def the most passionate of the underdog teams.
I think you'd like the Mavs. They're a solid team with some fun scorers in Luka and Kyrie. Unlikely to win it all but their best players are the most entertaining ones.
Of the teams that are left (we're in the first round of the playoffs), probably Nuggets, Thunder, or Pacers. Everyone else has main players injured, are choke artists, or are a tragic past of unending disappointments (sorry, Knicks fans).
Nuggets are the favorites to win it all and won last year with one of the best coaches, the likely MVP of the league, and a ton of solid younger dudes with recent playoff and winning experience.
Thunder are the youngest and probably most exciting team in the league. The have another MVP contender, ROY contender, and play fun, unselfish ball that is a pleasure to watch and easy to root for (except for Giddy). I just can't root for them because of what their ownership did to steal a team away from Seattle.
Indiana is another young and exciting team with a bunch of young guys that put up a lot of points and play a fast and exciting game. The recently added a veteran with championship experience that is helping them a lot, and they have one of the best coaches and cultures as well.
My team is the Bulls because of Jordan, WGN, and Rose, and we've had a couple decades mostly of disappointment and horrible ownership. But I love our current team. I have other teams I root for less enthusiastically but mostly root for specific players.
If you're going to be a bandwagon fan, then the Nuggets will probably win the title this year.
If you want a team that has heart and a great culture, that consistently plays beyond what they should be able to do, then the Miami Heat are your squad.
If you want a team with decades of history, 17 hard won, earned titles, and the chance to win next year, then go with the Lakers.
If you want a young team with a bright future, Oklahoma City is your team.
If you want a team that plays with determination, despite injuries and setbacks, with a home in one of the world's greatest cities, the Knicks are your team.
If you want a team with decades of history, 17 titles mostly won against plumbers, that consistently fails when it really matters, go with the Celtics.
OP for a young team with high upside potential I would recommend the Oklahoma city thunder or San Antonio Spurs. Thunder are already having some success due to a good core of starters while the spurs just this year drafted a likely generational talent in Victor Wembanyama. The future is bright for both teams

I’d say watch players that excite you. It’s usually the superstars that make the games interesting. Those include:
Anthony Edwards of The Timberwolves
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of OKC
Victor Wemby of The Spurs
Ja Morant of The Grizzlies
Nikola Jokic of The Nuggets
I’d say team wise, the Clippers, Knicks and Celtics have such a organised game that you can feel the team chemistry from their plays, making it fun to watch them as well
Cleveland Cavaliers, they have young and exciting players, they don't win every game, but the are usually in play off contention (within the top 6 in the east). I personally believe that they are just a few key pieces away from making a really deep run in the playoffs. Really solid community and social media team. So, yeah if you're interested check them out.
The Kings and Pacers are both pretty young, fun, fast paced teams. Not juggernauts like the Nuggets or Celtics, but they're teams that put up a fight every night they play.

Try watching some games, if you don't have local team it's better to find a player(or players) who you enjoy watching. I live in the U.S. but in a market with no teams, so I kind of watch everyone; more of an NBA fan than a specific team fan, but I live in the midwest so I feel like I have to support one of those teams if they're in the playoffs.
Havent seen it here yet. Oralndo is a super fun team to watch. They hve a great young core with Banchero and Wagner (and maybe even Suggs). They are becoming better now but have been a tanking team for years. They are actually having their frst stand out season this year. can highly recommend it.

My recommendation to anyone looking to get into the NBA is the Thunder. They are, in my opinion, the most exciting team in the league. Very young squad full of super fun guys with great chemistry. You said not a team that wins every game, and the Thunder had the second best record in the NBA so it doesn't really fit, but I think it's an awesome team
Okay but OP asked for a team that doesn't win every game. This is the worst version of this team we're going to see and they're already the 1 seed. Unless Presti shits the bed, they're going to be the villain of the league for a while
Sorry, as an ex sonics fan I admit I just hate the thunder. Nevertheless they will become a lot less fun to root for once they start making the finals every year
That's a valid reason. Especially when you consider the fact that OKC is incredibly small market for a basketball team, moreso than Seattle. It showed with the big 3 and now it'll show again when it comes to extending the current team
Yeah, it kills me that they got chet and jalen williams in the same draft. Both seem like they could develop into mvp-level players so will be interesting to see how they handle contracts and who they invest in
The Indiana Pacers. Very exciting, fast paced, young team. They aren't ready to compete for a championship yet, but they are on their way! They have the best offense in the league so you'll see lots of scoring, passing, and athletic plays. You'll get to watch them grow and if they get the right pieces together they could shock the league! They also happen to be my favorite team, but that's irrelevant I assure you
timberwolves, they have their ups and downs but one thing i enjoy about their team is great draft picks, KAT and Anthony Edwards as well as signing Jaden Mcdaniels
I would go with the Hornets, Wizards, or Trailblazers, you will love it
this being the top comment with hardly any pushback is some of the meanest shit i've ever seen in my life xD we just out ruining lives over here
What do you mean these are elite franchises that only bring joy to there fanbases…much like the Cleveland Browns which OP should also consider becoming a fan of if he also wants to start following the NFL :)
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
Ye good young teams with a future
I beg to differ, the wizards have no future
I mean sure but they are such a historic franchise I’m sure this guy would love to be fans of the team. I mean arguably the greatest player ever used to play for them…those fans are so lucky
They got bibal he’s gonna be a all defense player and all star for years they should build around him
Who? Bilal? All-star, c’mon man??
Fr
Don’t OP, it’s a trap I’ve been a barely NBA fan for so many years bc the hornets suck THAT badly.
But things are looking better for us
I’ll believe it when I see it. as long as we’re still picking top 5 in the draft every year, I’m not a believer.
Started with the Trailblazers in '19, honestly it was heartbreaking to watch Dame put in 50+ in the playoffs in the bubble and still lose to the Lakers.
Wizards 100%, they got Jordan Poole the future of the league.
Yeah gets highlighted by Shaq weekly I think, and as a fan of his college team I was excited for him to head to the nba after a single season
Nah he isnt the same without Steph
If it wasn't obvious, I was trolling.
Ik just in case u were serious
Pistons fan here. Don’t leave us out!
Nets never disappoint.
Wemby is still mostly potential, so if you get on the bandwagon now, you're doing it SOLIDLY before he's truly in that MVP conversation and it'll be way more fun when he actually gets there.
yeh that way u get to feel the journey and not just the destination kinda vibe
Spurs are definitely an interesting team to watch, and I'm not saying that as a long time Spurs fan. It's genuinely going to be interesting to see if they can put around a contending team to support Wemby. I'm also interesting in seeing how these last few years of Pop's career play out.
There’s some humor. Homie says he’s from the UK and you’re like, “Check out this French guy.”
Isn't sochan from the UK too
Moved to UK as a young kid, played in English national league till around u15s
Whatever team you pick is going to have ups and downs. 5 years is a long time in the league. I’d recommend a team in the eastern time zone, so you have a chance of actually watching games. And I’d recommend choosing the team based on the city they’re in. That way you can come see a game sometime and enjoy the city. Based on that, I’d go with either the Knicks, the nets, the 76ers, or the Heat.

Nuggets- Jokic is fun to watch
Yes. They have the Big 2 but they have good complimentary players who fit the team well. They also play good basketball.
Great way to learn the game; great game film and highlights
Get on the ground floor of the Raptors rebuild. It’s the only team outside the US so an international fan for the international team sounds like a great fit!
Exactly this! My comment was very similar. They have a whole country that gets to cheer for them being the only Canadian team in the league.
Minnesota Timberwolves
Yep, this 100 percent.
San Antonio Spurs for Sochan/Wembanyama
I’d find a young player you like and follow him. Much more entertaining.
like who
Luka, Shai, Wemby, Edwards… those would be my top young guys to follow.
Adding to the list… Hali, paolo
Luka Doncic
This is fine advice, but I think following a specific team is much more enjoyable. Do both
Try the Miami Heat. They are always tough in playoffs. Now they are playing 1 seed Boston celtics and the series 1-1 so far.
what does 1 seed mean?
NBA teams are split into the Eastern and Western conferences. At the end of the regular season, 8 teams from each conference advance into the playoffs, to eventually crown that season's champion. Boston finished top of the Eastern conference table, so they're the #1 seed. Think Man City having to play a quarterfinal against Spurs at the end of last season.
oh right, thanks
And let me tell you that it is not the first time they are doing that during the last few years.
as a warriors fan don't pick the warriors it makes you lose your mind and treat every day like it's a gonna be an underdog type rocky movie 😭we still can't help but think we can win another so yeah if you don't want to get diagnosed with delusion just steer clear of warriors and lakers and follow any other team with realistic expectations so you can have a happy life
Also most warrior fans just started to follow the team since 2015..so u missed the boat if you following them now
Man. So true. All those OKC fans I knew in Michigan several years ago were only fans for, what, two years? Three?
I'd choose the pistons. I've been a pistons fan for 15 years now and it's just so fun
I mean kinda hard to watch what... 28 games without a win.
So on point haha. All my friends from the Bay Area say the warriors are gonna win when I ask them who they think will get the title.
Ofc they are lol.
Houston is fun to watch as they are young, quick and selfish.
At least for Knicks or Magic he can visit Orland or NY some time in the future... don't know about visiting Cleveland.
Raptors welcome you with open arms! Toronto is a diverse city and they have a whole country to cheer for them as they are the only Canadian team.
But we are in a rebuild right now and things don't look great atm but we will get there again! In Masai we trust
Pistons
Clippers
Theyre also in the playoffs rn so you can catch some of their games Id also recommend the Knicks they have are super fun and play much more team oriented compared to the rest of the top teams. Theyre exciting because no one thought they would be good, but have a super fun culture
i’ve been watching match highlights and like the look of the heat, is that a good choice or nah?
Heat are awesome. Their roster made the finals in 2020 and 2023 aswell as being a shot away in 2022. They have arguably the best coach in the league and even with their best player out took a game off the best team in the league in the playoffs. Theyre super big underdogs. I would say go for it.
Only team to choose is the Miami Heat
Support Boston Celtics. They aren't winning much now. But they are a historically great team that has won everything there is to win. Sort of like AC Milan in Football. Their time will come back again sooner or later. Watch videos on Larry Bird and Bill Russell to get started.
Timberwolves
I’d watch Lakers. They have a young exciting player called Lebron James.
Houston Rockets are a good young team that’s fun to watch…the Hornets are another one with a good young player and they have the best commentator in the league

Find a European player you are familiar with and support their team.
Pelicans, Wolves,
OG Anunoby is from the Uk and is considered a great defensive player and as a Raptors fan it pains me to say , but the Knicks are an exciting young team who deserve some consideration
The Charlotte Hornets, bro. 1000%. Don’t win many games at all right now, but are growing a lot as a team and making a bunch of positive moves. Young team as well.
Naz Reid
You don't really need to support a team, you can be a basketball fan and just enjoy good games. Watch as many games as you can (especially now that the Playoff started, it's the best time of the season) and eventually you'll find your favourite teams and players.
What Jokic greatest passing highlights on Youtube that will make you a Nuggets fan
Sochan is the most handsome man in the nba and you should be a fan of his team the Spurs!
KNICKS
Knicks baby, knicks

the sonics
Grizzlies!!!
good lord everyones mentioning young teams rebuilding and left out Cavs
There's the Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers.
it's easier to find something that connects you with the area if you want to stick with the team through thick and thin. you also don't have to have a team, just watch and enjoy the Craft in the game and you'll find something eventually
Milwaukee Bucks obviously. Underdog team with top level talent. A small market team and Giannis.
Boston celtics are really good
Watch games, find something you like watching with players and a franchise that interests you. You get a team over time, for now… just watch and enjoy
I'd try finding a player who's playstyle you really like and go from there

Oklahoma City Thunder
None. NBA is rigged and corrupt
Orlando Magic. We’ve got Disney?
When I started to follow soccer years ago I had no idea who to root for so I just went by team colors or a certain player to choose.
Spurs. Support the Frenchman.
Raptors
Since you’re European go with a team led by one. Mavericks, Spurs, Nuggets (although they win a lot), Bucks, and Kings would all be good options

I would follow a team that is close by so you get the games and can actually go see a game in person.
OCK fan here. One of the youngest teams in the USA. 3/5 of the starting lineup are Commonwealth. They don’t get the attention like other teams. People are quick to write them off… yet they hustle like anyone’s business and finished top of their conference.
Hawks
Orlando magic. Very international team with a great city.
OKC and Minnesota meet your criteria Not traditional powerhouses, but both with very exciting young players
In the East it would be Orlando (a fair bit behind OKC and Minnesota in how good they are / how developed their young guys are)
Mavs are the default Euro team
I am a Lakers fan have been since 1998. They have been rough to watch through the LeBron saga. Lots of ups and downs. I also enjoy the Raptors because I live in Canada.
Kings, de aron fox, unique player, wins vs good teams, lose vs bad teams. so rollercoaster of emotions, no unlikeable players. Color scheme is good black/purple.
Are there any sports you like now? What style of play do you like?
OKC is young and very exciting to watch!
OKC is young and very exciting to watch!
Spurs
Indiana pacers
The Spurs have the single most exciting young player and they don't win shit
Raptors definitely have some special players
San Antonio Spurs
Memphis Grizzlies or Seattle SuperSonics
Do you love or hate yourself?
Just watch some games and find a team or teams whose style you like.
Who's your football club? Maybe we can match a team similar to them.
crystal palace, because i like watching eze and olise
I think you'd like the Mavs. They're a solid team with some fun scorers in Luka and Kyrie. Unlikely to win it all but their best players are the most entertaining ones.
yeah, they’re western conference though so it would be harder to watch them live
The one that wins
OP for a young team with high upside potential I would recommend the Oklahoma city thunder or San Antonio Spurs. Thunder are already having some success due to a good core of starters while the spurs just this year drafted a likely generational talent in Victor Wembanyama. The future is bright for both teams

I’d say watch players that excite you. It’s usually the superstars that make the games interesting. Those include: Anthony Edwards of The Timberwolves Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of OKC Victor Wemby of The Spurs Ja Morant of The Grizzlies Nikola Jokic of The Nuggets I’d say team wise, the Clippers, Knicks and Celtics have such a organised game that you can feel the team chemistry from their plays, making it fun to watch them as well
Chicago Bulls, all the way. Had to rep my team.
Nuggets Best team play, so fun to watch.
Go for the San Antonio Spurs. Victor Wembanyama is like putting Jude Bellingham’s skills into Peter Crouch’s body. Plus points if you’re a Spur.
Anyone but the Chicago bulls.
depends on how insufferable you are or how miserable do you want to be.
after watching game highlights i’m leaning towards miami heat
insufferable but it's againts the Celtics so its fine.
If you end up choosing the Celtics just be prepared for a heart attack every time they play
Seattle SuperSonics!
Spurs so you can be confused about what Spurs people are talking about and have to ask basketball or football half the time.
The sixers! Best team in the league

I would say find a player you enjoy and pick their team.

Anyone but the warriors
None of them, watch swimming instead.
Fuck the thunder - they're going to be the warriors of the 2020's
If I was looking to pick a team to be a fan of that would be reason enough then lol
Okay but OP asked for a team that doesn't win every game. This is the worst version of this team we're going to see and they're already the 1 seed. Unless Presti shits the bed, they're going to be the villain of the league for a while
Alright my bad bro damn....
They also happen to be my favorite team, but that's irrelevant I assure you
It’s personal presence honestly. That’s like you asking me what color underwear should you wear. Silly Brits.
the warriors !!
timberwolves, they have their ups and downs but one thing i enjoy about their team is great draft picks, KAT and Anthony Edwards as well as signing Jaden Mcdaniels
