For a lot of things I think our inhibitions get in the way more than anything. I can speak four languages when I'm drunk way better than when I'm sober because I'm not hung up on my lack of overall ability and being embarrased. Same with bass I think, even though I barely know anything. I'm a lot less worried about being right and I'm just having fun. A lot easier to do shit when you can get your self-doubt to take a back seat and shut the hell up.
