I mean, on the last few cycles it kinda sounded like 'The machine' went too hard at the start and kinda ran out of breath partway through, so... no, fairly certain the real-life laser does not make *peeeeeewwwwwwwwbrrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrl* noises.
Those are absolutely the actual sounds these kinds of laser machines make while operating. It's initially slightly louder because it's switching back on, and obviously the conditions change moment to moment as the lasers move in a line across the circular surface of the coin--the line widens up to the center of the coin, then gradually narrows again.
There's a million videos of these kinds of machines online, they sound like this.
I've used a laser for cleaning rust off of marine hulls. It didn't sound anything like this at all. There is a very loud sounding fan for cooling the machine, almost like a compressor. And then the actual sound coming from the laser sounds like something between a downed charged power line and a welder.
Different machines, so maybe the audio from this clip is real, but I don't think it is.
That's exactly what that machine sounds like. It's a different laser technology. Since it's scan and pulse based you're hearing all of that impulse noise.
They're the sounds of the control motors steering the head of the laser and the control mirrors, not the laser itself. If you notice, where the coin is smaller at the edges the sound is higher pitched because the mirrors are waggling forward and back very fast then as it scans to the middle, the pitch gets lower as the laser doesn't have to reverse so often
I actually ran a laser ablation program in a former life. We cleaned coins underwater and in air. And I destroyed many a penny playing around. Cool tech and instant gratification like power washing etc.
The sound is close to what I experienced but hearing protection was mandatory due to some of the higher frequency’s that the equipment I was using could generate. I purchased two lasers for the program. A 80W and a 500W all with circular scan patterns and fixed focal point distances. Both were portable and extremely efficient at cleaning different surfaces. The best was putting water on the surface which would collect the nasties that were not vaporized. I even used it for lead abatement in steel surfaces
If it’s a collectable one - it will destroy the value of it; collectors are pretty specific about not wanting them clean.
Seeing as it’s 20c euro it probably doesn’t hold much collectable value though.
The coin was probably already worth its own value if you rub it with a tissue, doesn't have to be in a perfect state
But that's fun tech. idk how it works but maybe it can be used to recover watch dials or something
They're actually surprisingly [portable](https://www.alliedscientificpro.com/shop/laserblast-100-lease-2own-19790#attr=)
Larger, more powerful portable units have wheels and require either a ramp or a forklift to unload.
Bro. I thought this was a pie at first.
I’m… kinda? Disappointed?… but yet it’s cathartic…
There’s something about this that screams industrial external crispiness….
I used to do this with those electric tesla coil toys, I'd take the top off and put cd's on it, it was very cool looking and sounding, but probably super toxic and dangerous.
I'm sure cost of cleaning this coin is ten times more expensive than the cost of it's actual value.
Plus the Sounds, seemed dubbed.
Not an expert, so just pointing out.
Watching a rusty object being cleaned by laser and watching jewelry being cleaned by vibrating liquid solution is oddly satisfying. I can watch it all day.
question is, did the whole cleaning thing cost less than the 20 cents euro? seems like a waste of time, energy, money. but an interesting video, so perhaps video generated money?
Could get the same result by dropping it in a glass of Coke for a day.
It's a matter of trading the cool laser sounds by the "fssshhh" of opening the can/bottle.

The sounds are amazing
Are those real sounds, or dubs?
I'm 99% sure the sounds are real
I am 1% sure the sound is fake.

I'm 26% sure that Michael Winslow is narrating the video like some sort of sound machine David Attenborough.
Or it could be Korean beat boxer..
Lol. Next question Mr DM. Does cleaning a coin with a laser create that sound on the video?
They're the sounds of the control motors steering the head of the laser and the control mirrors, not the laser itself. Somehow that's exactly what i imagine a powerful laser to sound like
Your onomatopoeia is extraordinary too!
That’s what she said. ![gif](giphy|ruZVTCF9l16xn9xfs3)

It makes me very happy that lasers do actually make cool laser noises in real life.
Pew pew.
I thought it would sound like blasts from a Tie Fighter.
I actually ran a laser ablation program in a former life. We cleaned coins underwater and in air. And I destroyed many a penny playing around. Cool tech and instant gratification like power washing etc.
I totally misread that first sentence and had to start again.
What dit you read!? Laser abortion!? Maam it's 6 months already, we can't.... OK nvm fuck it "Peeeeeew."
I mean technology moves fast brother. You never know. I had also just woken up so I wasn't fully compos mentis.
![gif](giphy|tH8DdZ6ZqklCo|downsized)
I misread the second sentence and thought he used lazers to clean *underwear* Muther fukin dyslexia, man.
Does it actually make this sound

Does this hurt the coin ?

I don't know, it doesn't make cents
It’s informed concent
If it’s a collectable one - it will destroy the value of it; collectors are pretty specific about not wanting them clean. Seeing as it’s 20c euro it probably doesn’t hold much collectable value though.
Especially since it cost 10 times that much to clean it. 😂
It sucks that cleaning destroys the value of historical coins because it would be pretty cool to see ancient coins restored to a brand new condition.
Doesn't completely destroy the value, just greatly so.
I think the only euro coins that have collectable value are those that have been discontinued. a few euro countries for example no longer use 1c coins
Just ask anyone who’s had a tattoo removed
Worth of coin: 20 cents Cleaning cost: Energy: 1.5 Euro Laser Cleaner Depreciation: 2 Euro Labour: 5 Euro
But the satisfaction we all got watching and hearing this… priceless
Sounds like a master card commercial
You got the reference
The coin was probably already worth its own value if you rub it with a tissue, doesn't have to be in a perfect state But that's fun tech. idk how it works but maybe it can be used to recover watch dials or something
Might be a good way of cleaning/maintaining surgical instruments.

That's extremely accurate lmao
I neeeed season 3
When Benimaru did his punch my jaw dropped. Did not expect that sound to come out of my speakers. 10/10
I would like to see someone Laser Cook a pizza
I didn't read the caption at first and thought "that's a really weird way to heat up a hamburger."

Y’all missing out if the audio is off
This reminds me I need a facial
I can provide
Bonk
This would be considered sci-fi a few decades ago. It's impressive how technology has progressed.
Impressive/terrifying. Comme-ci comme-ça
I need this for my son’s toilet!
A lot easier just to use some toothpaste and toothbrush 😏
Or just drop it in some cola.
That's cool.
It bet it’s not!
There’s no way these are the actual noises right? Like someone added them in? I might need to swap professions real quick if they weren’t
What’s the cost to value on this?
Very cool, thanks for posting.
Probably cost more to do that than the coin is worth, cool tho.
That's a sick dub step drop! *Face melt starts now*
Saving to resample tomorrow.
Costs more in electricity than the coins worth
My intrusive thoughts telling me to quickly swipe my hand under the laser beam would probably cost me my arm
Cool laser but it would cost you an arm and a leg.
Anyone have a picture of what a laser like that looks like? Per the audio, it sounds approximately the size of a motor boat.
They're actually surprisingly [portable](https://www.alliedscientificpro.com/shop/laserblast-100-lease-2own-19790#attr=) Larger, more powerful portable units have wheels and require either a ramp or a forklift to unload.
Is this the most efficient way to clean a coin?
No and can't say it would be the least damaging method either. It's interesting though.
Lazer sounds like a laser 🗿
How much would this cost? :-o
Last one sounded like a Tie fighter
Is this TRON?!?
Sounds like a fart and a motorbike
All I heard was just Micheal Bay’s transformers
I wanna hold my finger into that so badly for some reason…
"It's laser grave" *Dnb start playing
I choose to believe that Michael Winslow is just off camera making these noises.
Drops the bass AND cleans coins!
I feel like I'm about to hear the sickest classical rock album
Ooh that last pass tho
When did Skrillex release this?
If they ever make another command and conquer generals game this is what I want the ion canon to sound like
Never heard anything so satisfying in my life
No one's talking about the pod racing going on just off screen!?
Bro. I thought this was a pie at first. I’m… kinda? Disappointed?… but yet it’s cathartic… There’s something about this that screams industrial external crispiness….

Can you laser me, coz I lived in toxic world.
Thats why coins from '98. are so clean 🤣
I want to laser all of it. Everyone & Everything. All.
Kore ga Requeim da.
Seems like you could just wipe it off or something. This is way cooler though.
I wanna eat that cokkie
I just came
Can someone explain me simply how it works? Where did the scum go. How do light dislodge the dirt?
I'm sure cost of cleaning this coin is ten times more expensive than the cost of it's actual value. Plus the Sounds, seemed dubbed. Not an expert, so just pointing out.
You earn by posting the video on the internet.
Could use one of these for all the modern coins I find metal detecting. What's the price for something like this?
r/satisfyingasfuck
doesn't it obliterate the value of the coin once cleaned?
Why it need to fire in every different direction ? Also is the laser cut a tiny bit of the coin everytime it do the process ?
Or put it i Coca-Cola for 24 hours!
You connect this with an AI and we are all doomed
This sounds like the opening scene of Revenge of the Sith
Are the patterns significant?
Can I clean my dishes like this
What in the fire force
so this is how technology sounds like
The cleaner it gets, the cooler it sounds!
Damn, it took me ages to season that coin.
Now put your finger!
Why does the laser have to make different patterns?
This is the stuff of armaggedon or extinction events for all of those microbes on that coin RIP.
Warning ion relay is ready to fire
Lmfao, I love how extra it is. *PUUUURRRRWWWOOOOWWWWWVVVVVVVVVVV* ⚡️💥fireworks💥⚡️
WTF even happened to that coin?! It's a euro cent, but it looks like it's 200 years old at the beginning.
There have to be easier ways to launder money
I always unmute these
That's 40 rubles hehe.
What happens if I put my penis on it?
It looks like a pretty violent kind of cleaning with flames and all that...
Is that a butt coin?
Taco night?
I was expecting an old coin.. No, it was a 20 cent euro coin. A bit disappointed but the cleaning was satisfying
If an old coin is found, you’re not supposed to clean off the patina. Would this be an acceptable way to clean a really old coin?
Weird dub…
money laundering

I need this for my bathroom and the rest of my home tbh
I thought of someone beatboxing the sounds to this video haha
its like they're time traveling it
Over the top sfx and animation. I love it!
The BGM is nice lol
We're getting closer and closer to laser weapons.
I presume there is a man just making these noises right next to the camera and it makes this video even more impressive, tbh.
Lazers are fucking cool.
u/savevideo
Name this laser
This is actually taking material away from the actual coin, isn’t it.
The fun part is that this process makes no sound originally. They just added some sound processor to the machine to make it more badass.
Make sure you turn your lights off for “earth hour” this year. We got coins to clean.
It’s a [laser rave](https://youtu.be/TpyJXquNcqI?si=TuyWx8ApM2vCFq9D)
Someone put this in a jungle tune!
Yo wtf it is the god of basketball visiting earth type shit
So much energy spent on something that a few minutes of scrubbing could have done.
Come and clean my oven. I would ay handsomely for this but only if I can watch.
That last pass when you can hear the sound of the souls trapped in the coin
Have they never heard of Coca Cola?
I thought the coin would be a megarare roman coin from Marcus Aurelius's reign... and then it turns out to be 50cents.
Now you have a 1000 euro bill for a shiny 20 euro
The laser consumed €1.20c in electricity….
You spent 300 euros on energy to recover 20 cents. Congratulations!
I watched it on mute and was ooooh that's cool, then I watched it high and with sound and thought it was hilarious
![gif](giphy|YAfCAzDS0WmwU)
you could also soak it in vinegar
Watching a rusty object being cleaned by laser and watching jewelry being cleaned by vibrating liquid solution is oddly satisfying. I can watch it all day.
I always wondered what money laundering actually looked like!
question is, did the whole cleaning thing cost less than the 20 cents euro? seems like a waste of time, energy, money. but an interesting video, so perhaps video generated money?
Dubstep back in the game
The sound and laser cleaning process is super intriguing.
So satisfying to watch and listen to this
Can't we just put it in cola?
I need one
Nice
Remember folks, get your antique coins nice and shiny... XD
I keep waiting for the beat to drop
Ala that effort for 20cent…
ZA WARUDO!
Were the sounds made by lucasfilm?
r/soundporn
Who needs lasers if you have Coca-Cola?
I could use some dick cheese laser removal 🥰
Video's fine and all, but I feel it should have a warning for flashing lights or something...
Nice tattoo removing kit .
pov: The boss you have defeated can regenerate phttttrooothhh \* Generating health to max ☠️
I need this for my bathroom
Euros don't rust 🤔
sounds cool but isnt it cheaper to just soak in a little cola?
So if you stick your finger in there will it get cut? Asking for friend
I'm more old fashion. Give me an old rag and let me hawk tuah on that thang and give it an old rub down.
I thought it was a pie being baked
Ok where do I buy a laser cleaner
Could get the same result by dropping it in a glass of Coke for a day. It's a matter of trading the cool laser sounds by the "fssshhh" of opening the can/bottle.
Now put your hand between the laser and the coin
