coco canister and masks don't share mats so you can work towards both, I got coco canister before. also why get two masks before ssa and not save stuff like tickets and glues for items that are for any hive color?

Coco canister needs 150 extracts each and the masks need 250 each. Diamond mask is great for honeymaking and makes a lot of honey, which is helpful if you're nowhere close to ssa. If you are only a few bees away from ssa then go for ssa first

sorry I should've specified I meant gummy mask. but then by that logic why would you get gummy mask if you're gonna get diamond mask soon after, since you can save the glues for gummy boots?

They help a ton with spirit bear's goo quests. It's personal preference really, some people don't want to grind hours for the goo.

OP prolly didn't have enough material to craft canister, hence he asked boots or mask, if you want get equipment instantly, I prefer mask than the boots.

Desperate don't mean dumb! Go with the mask and wait to get the canister, you'll farm infinitely faster

Well you can finish the goo quests in other ways, it's more important to get diamond mask and gummy boots before you think about gummy mask. This is if you want to follow the "meta" anyway, realistically no one can stop you if you want to buy it.
