Doors can definitely be adjusted. I don't know to what extent the cosmetic damage were to your fridge but if it's something that's not crazy messed up then I'd push for a make good compensation through the large product fulfillment resolution team. If it's extreme then request an exchange.

Is a door replacement an option? This is a kitchenaid side by side, and it looks like they got overly agressive with putting on the fridge door. The plastic moulding that looks like it's glued on top of the stainless (by the hinge) just sort of popped out.

EscalationPro

I'd request an exchange then. Too much of a headache for a brand new KitchenAid tbh

I already had a service call scheduled for next week, but at that time I thought it was only alignment. I hadn't looked a little closer at all the other damage. Is an exchange a brand new fridge as well? They assembled it in my driveway and I think that's where it got jacked up.

EscalationPro

It should be. Sounds like they had to take the doors off because your doorway was too narrow to fit as is so not much they can do on that.

FaAlt

No. They did not have to take the doors off. My old fridge was able to fit through and it was full sized and the new one is counter depth. There was plenty of room to get in the doorway. There was some assembly that they had to do in the driveway. Though, maybe it was mostly putting on the handles etc. I wasn't paying close attention. *I'm not sure why my question keeps getting downvoted either.

EscalationPro

Ahh sounds like handles for sure

Yes have them adjust the doors you paid for a new fridge and professional installation now they may not change out because of cosmetics but they will more than likely give you a discount, depends on if you have good store management because they don't want a scratch and dent fridge back that they have to sell at a loss.

As a repair agent this is what annoys me with 3PL they just go drop the appliance then 99% of the time dispatch creates a repair order for one of us to go level the fridge instead of creating a redo for the install team to go back and do their job correctly. Its not a repair but an install issue but the idiots on the phone rarely ever schedule it right. Personally if they messed up the door, request an exchange sometimes doors can take a month or more to get. And if its the dispenser side door it comes as a empty door everything has to be moved from the old door to the new door.

Always push for replacement, and I mean push (politely), the if there's just no doing a full replacement, work with your local store leaders. To find a suitable solution.
