Cheaper, cleaner, less material is used and far less space is needed to build them. Not to mention their longevity crushes competition when the average reactor lasts 50+ years with many planning 80+. If people had gone full steam into nuclear reactors 15 years ago, the US’s carbon footprint would be a fraction of what it is now.
