Voudon is the most fun character, in the ENTIRETY of official Blood on the Clocktower characters, including unreleased or experimental characters. Voudon's ability reads as follows 'Only you and the dead can vote. A 50% majority is not needed'. How crazy do you have to be to think this is actually a bad ability? It completely changes the fundamentals of the game, from alive players freely voting an the dead utilising their one vote, to dead players freely voting and alive players doing their actions. Not only that, a decent tool in social deduction games is reading votes - you can do that when all of the dead players can vote at all. You physically can catch dead evils voting wrong if they can vote Furthermore, all the dead people actually find Voudon fun - and still not even all of the alive people find it unfun. Nobody else thinks its fun when someone steps into the game part-way through, and decides that they'll execute someone with all of the dead people and the alive players can do shit about that unless by convincing dead people, which is not hard to happen when the dead players are good. Also, Voudon just helps the balance for certain characters. You know sage? They can vote the demon. Ravenkeeper? Use your info to help you vote. Zombuul is quite literally one of the many roles to benefit from a Voudon, and what if the Voudon is good? you're literally helping your teeam out for free there, congrats. Mechanics that take away player agency are interesting. and a unique twist to the game
Main thing to remember about it is living players still are needed to nominate.
Also, an evil voudon can't just kill randomly since they don't know their minion allies.
The only issue I see is the players are likely just to instantly exile the Voudon.
Instantly exiling travelers is a real problem IMO. I really quite hope a good solution is found at some point. I've seen ST's use Angel to disincentivize it, but maybe if the town had some influence on which traveller got in that'd be nice.
Late game voudon is a huge problem for evil even if they are evil themselves. You have no voting power for a lift without bamboozled half of town instead of evil team+1
With exception. Voudon is more hassle for evil regardless of alignment. Deviant is just a vote. Spent judge is fine to stick around. Etc. As long as no mayor claim, those travelers can stay in town.

I'm guessing it's because they think people would want to die when a Voudon's around so that they can vote, but since the Soldier is safe from the Demon it's harder for them to die.
Also why they think Sailor should hope to get self-drunked, so that they lose their "you can't die" ability.
I look at a lot of Travelers, Voudon included, in the same way a chef should consider adding ghost pepper.

Voudon is so hilariously Town-sided that I have no idea what this person is talking about.
I think Voudon is definitely a “latecomer” role instead of a “leaves-early” role.

Personally, I'd just make a homebrew rule that travellers cannot be exiled on their first day.
