The show really portrays what happens when a BPD person has too much money and is insulated from consequences by fame.
I think being obscenely rich is one of the worse things that can happen to a BPD person.
it's not confirmed or as widely believed as Bojack having bpd, but based on her childhood, her inability to write the story she wants to tell due to a "fog" (fog can be a common trauma response, especially with bpd, to repress traumatic memories), her concept of good damage, her pushing away ppl close to her, self destructive tendencies, alcohol use, and aversion to fame. also it really explains why Bojack and Diane have the relationship they do. they enable each other, but also uniquely understand each other in a way others can't.
also his obsession with fame and attention, which is not really a symptom but is common with BPD, and it's also a product of his upbringing. bpd is mostly caused by childhood trauma, so we could really say his upbringing has made him who he is, but that could be said about everyone.
Borderline personality disorder. Alcoholism. Fame.
I was in denial about him having BPD in the first few seasons, but by the end the show is a character study in BPD.
Yeah… my wife most likely has it. All signs point to it. And she HATES BoJack because of how much he reminds her of herself.

You don’t say? 😂 maybe it’s a good thing my wife and I are poor
I agree. I believe Diane also has bpd and her being a woman and a poc, as well as not being famous makes her symptoms present differently.
Does Diane have BPD? I always assumed GAD and depression.

Will Arnett, he has a hoarse voice
Isn't that the horse from Horsin' around?
he's bojack horseman, and there's no cure for that
That he's more horse than a man
Or a man more then a horse
I saw Group Love play this past weekend, and was saddened that they di not play this song.
Idk why but i always felt like todd was the one singing it
The alcoholism, but mostly his haunting childhood and fast paced career
Horse
his acute awareness of his flaws and his inability to do anything about it.
YESYESYES this is why I relate to him
Self awareness as an excuse against self improvement.
Charisma. Lack of temperance. Entitlement.
A mixture of guilt and entitlement
Deep-rooted childhood trauma.
His inability to not hurt those around him
All of it
Well, back in the 90s, he was in a very famous TV show.
Self-loathing, drugs, being on a show from the 90’s
His complete disregard for other people's wants or needs combined with his desperate need to be loved.
Histrionic personality disorder
Shut up Todd
Bojack
His name is Bojack, that's a pretty big one.
bpd. trama, substance abuse, self destruction, lack of self worth, instability in self image. literally his personality disorder makes him, him.
also his obsession with fame and attention, which is not really a symptom but is common with BPD, and it's also a product of his upbringing. bpd is mostly caused by childhood trauma, so we could really say his upbringing has made him who he is, but that could be said about everyone.
Hair dye, until season 5/6
Witty comebacks
His long face
