I think people dont realise that many people irl have relationships like this. I have two friends who are in similar situations and their husbands are very far away due to work and studies. but they're actually happy and content because it works for them.
if you're in a demanding area of work then distance will be a factor. im sure they understood that and got married/had a child etc. sooo...
