Unsurprising. Current meta is based around breaking enemies. Ruan Mei's biggest appeal is for that. They'd need another break support to kneecap her use.
She gives so many buffs by being in a team. It wasn't until other supporters got added that she went down a bit, but they added super break and we loop back here.

Only Ruan Mei can give Weakness Break Efficiency right now, in is very strong because of it. Give me a husbando that can give the same stat and now we’re talking.
Tease more Galaxy Rangers, give closure to a Nameless that Acheron's distant nature couldn't, and set up the split in IPC factions. Not hard to see why they'd put him in. That and also let people taste the meta that he and Firefly explore. That and Argenti is tagging along with him, so he also can be used for some fun comedic relief as well.
Plus while in English it's downplayed: Oswaldo the Nameless that is a director of the fanatic arm of the IPC (the actual more direct translation), so that has certainly been there for a minute to be explored on the IPC and certainly show the split in the IPC when comparing the stonehearts against Oswaldo.
To have people see and remember him with his rerun. Probably at least one person out there going "omg he's so funny, I'm gonna pull for him"

I'm sad that I can't pull for him. He has my favorite ult animation in the game, but Jade is too stonks for me since I already have a team for her and am really lacking aoe for Fiction.
I know Argenti is also aoe but I don't have Huohuo and my Tingyun isn't built, so getting him to a similar level of both personal and team investment is going to be a lot more taxing.

Indeed. On the bright side, just like with Ayato, I've pretty much gotten most of my main teams to clear endgame content done, so by the time he reruns again I'll be able to pull whoever I want without worrying about being able to clear things.

Complete opposite for me. Never been so uninterested in a character before till Jade. First time I’ve genuinely had 0 desire to pull for a unit so that saves me some gems. FF is cute but SAM is where it’s at for me.
Me having beef with Erudition characters but still pulling them (I lost 50/50 on Jingyuan on his first banner and skip second one - now I'm contemplating pulling Jade although her 2.3 appearance has more personality than 3 patches worth of FF's appearance).
My account is strong enough to clear any content and even in 2.4 I'm only looking out for Jiaoqiu (if he gets significantly buffed). I'm waiting for Lingsha and Feixiao currently so might as well skip 2.4 whole if Jiaoqiu remains underwhelming as he is in V1.
If Feixiao has Firefly/DHIL level of E2 so I might just save enough to get her to E2S1.

Same here, I only got her because sadly even if I hate the character and they're broken as fuck I'll get them (I loathe Jingliu and FF but got them because they're meta asf) but apart from that meh, Boothill is peak and will become even more peak once oswaldo arc starts. A proud E1S0 boothill main and will get him to E2S1 on his rerun. Another Sunday enjoyer, no wonder our tastes are so similar haha.
Finally, I'm so tired to see her in any shape or form that the only character i only need to see is Boots & Jade, her voice is majestic & sultry.
And she has a trait that i will never have, and that is long time Patience.
Jade's JP voice suits her way too much for her own good, I love her personality and the theme she has going on for her especially the snake part (I might just get her lol since I love snakes) and maybe she'll help me not try hard to much on teams where I need to beg Argenti to clear them with atleast 20-25k points.

I think the Acheron power level characters shouldn't be popping up this often.
He's literally the reason I started playing the game. His character design, personality, and gameplay really just appealed to me. It's unfortunate not many people cared to pull for him but I understand why so it is what it is.
Same, I saw his fine ass on tiktok reels and showed my friend who played star rail and got some info. I downloaded the game a day later and was simping so hard for 2 months while waiting, I still am to this day. He's been carrying my baby account so hard.
He's great, looks great, feels great, works great, the only reason I didn't pull on his banner is because firefly was next, and even with 150+ tickets, I only got one copy of her.
He also had the great misfortune of being between some of the greatest banners, between Acheron, Aventurine, Jingliu, Firefly, even Loucha, all of them are top of the game so he didn't get time to shine
For his rerun, I hope they flesh out his character beforehand, show us more about him in the story, etc. That way, more people will pull and we get more of him as a person to want to have on our teams, like with Firefly's interaction in the story
Ever since I saw how hyv used him in the story, and the unfair lack of publicity, as well as gameplay related stuff being nerfed for him, I just knew only the chosen ones would pull for him. And I am very happy with him. Now what annoys me is how ppl just skip him or underestimate him in recommendation lists ... I get it is because Hunt just cannot win in this game, but he embodies Hunt as a character so much, he is so cool.

I mean; his design is peak, his kit is good and enjoyable (albeit a little restrictive on certain conditions), his backstory and personality is good and not to forget hands down one of the best character trailer I've seen. But for some reason whatsoever, his marketing is dogshit, his BiS was alter in favor to a certain waifu, and no proper events or quest whatsoever during his banner. I'm so mad that his limited event was a daily assignment that are done with just some click and a few texts.
Yeah that "All About Boothill" quest was so phoned in for learning about him. I love deploying Boothill but I couldn't be arsed to read the 24 assignments at the time. Plus it was barely anything about his past.

Seeing that insane 950k+ one shot on Argenti with 3 star LC and 2pc2pc in AS made me lose my shit when it happened for the first time. For me he's way better than FF (I have her too but she's just a meta tool for me the same way Jingliu is since I don't like her either) in every way possible and I'll cherish him till the end and one day I'll get him to E6S1 (E1S0 currently) just to look at his human self which he once had.
Idk what y’all be on about with this “hunt cant win” especially characters like my Boothill, Yanqing, and Seele (at least when i used her) they just have more than enough speed and power to very quickly kill the enemies and with that speed move again very soon, might as well be AoE ☕️
I agree and I like Hunt personally, but that's the attitude many people in the fandom have regarding this path sadly. Said perception affects the amount of people who hype a character or end up pulling him.

Hoyo really did him dirty. There was so many things they could’ve done to boost his popularity, like another one of those animated trailers others got (like firefly or Robin). So many things, he got ripped off.

It's his appearance rate, which means it is dependent on who owns who. Since not much pulled on boothill, he has low appearance rate. But I surmise that his usage rate (% of havers who used him) should be high.
Firefly got 3 different trailers to boost publicity, has Stellaron Hunter cred, plus the waifu push from Hoyo in the story, she was even pushed back for spoiler reasons to further boost the anticipation for her release. Only Acheron and maybe Sparkle before that got 3 different trailers, a Myriad Celestia, a character trailer and an animated short. Now we have the planar set that specifically supports her over Boothill, the relic set that works better for her since she deals her own superbreaks. There is also the Hunt vs Destruction disparity on top of that, with the latter being the most usable DPS path across all endgame content, even after Apocalyptic Shadow release.
Compare this to Boothill, we didn't even know who he was in 2.0, prior to his drip marketing, then he gets a grand total of 1 dedicated trailer, has no dedicated relic sets, is a Hunt unit with no clear dominance over a single endgame content. The only ones who got him were the ones who found him cool in the drip marketing and trailer. The situation seems similar to Acheron hype, until you remember that the banners before and after her were Sparkle and Aventurine, a game changing amplifier and a game changing sustain, and both of them got mad marketing. Sparkle got 3 different trailers. Aventurine got all of the 2.1 story to flesh out his character before his banner dropped. We have to read Boothill's character bio for his story. I am not pulling FF on this run as a E0S1 Boothill enjoyer, but Hoyo does have clear favourites to push sales. FF is their current iconic unit after Acheron, 2-3 patches later, it will be someone else.
It’s strange how with characters like Kafka or RM who had major roles in the story (while most of the importance ff did was offscreen), they gave us options whether to like them or not, but for ff it was pretty much set in stone. Sure you can choose to be upset at her for lying, but at the end of the day it will still go back to be affectionate. People argue that mc and ff might have been close pre-story, but Blade specifically said MC used to followed Kafka everywhere so i don’t know.
And the scene with the fireworks in 2.3 … i don’t treat mc as a self-insert but i have a feeling they are someone from the development team’s.
There’s a theory that we’re still dreaming, and maybe FF is actually dead and TB couldn’t handle it. It sounds like coping i know but the more you look into it the more sense it makes! Tons of stuff don’t add up in 2.3.
I’m fine with them not giving us the option to dislike a character (even if I don’t like it) because I think it’s a fairly common tactic in games for plot progression, but I really hate that Trailblazer and Firefly’s interactions almost exclusively read as romantic. Her character feels really underdeveloped as a result, making it even harder to like her.

I'm apart of the 12.73%, I used Boothill and IPC FUA in the new Gamemode and both Worked really well. Hunt may be Unappreciated by the Majority of the Playerbase for a decent amount of Reasons, Though both IPC FUA and Boothill team comps are my 2 favorite team comps in the game. They are both so fun.
Yeah no I know and I get that, people have preferences and all and that’s fine. But when you really like a character you want other people to also like them, yk?
and even so Aventurine isn't the best sustain for top tier clear team either. he just provides so much for casual-ish player. From what I know optimize players or speed runners tend to go for houhou. she's best for so many teams (DOT, hyper carry jing yuan, argenti, IL, JL, etc.) while aventurine is just best for premium FUA and second place for every other team (which is why he's "the best" overall don't get me wrong). and he's also not that far ahead of houhou in FUA team either cuz topaz and ratio and robin is always HUNGRY for energy + atk.
Aventurine has highest usage rate among all the sustains second time in a row (and MOC stats are not made by casual players). That as well as a having a team where no one else can replace him (FUA) are definition of meta.
For one patch before he shares it with JL. Acheron gets 2 patches and then shares it with FF (another female). I guess "always" wasn't the right word, but "mostly". Honestly, aside from DHIL and Aventurine, no other male was considered meta compared to the amount of meta females there are. And the biggest factor why males feel weaker in general is the fact that Harmony units which is arguably the most futureproof meta path, we have 0 off. And only 1 support male after an entire year, which according to v1 is only a Acheron support while being comparable to 4* on non-Acheron teams.
Not saying males are weak and unusable, just more lacklustre in comparison to female kits imo.
I honestly am bottlenecked building HMC and Gallagher.... I didn't initially intend to pull him, so I didn't prepare very well and I am still working on everyone's relics and traces...

BH and FF share the Argenti side. I’m guessing people chose to use FF…it’s cool. BH is still a top 5 dmg dealer imo…he is just not as shiny to most.

Well the thing is, he’s not usable everywhere. Like you can use him in MoC and the new gamemode but not in pure fiction for example. He’s really just a boss killer. Since I got him, I can clear moc and the new gamemode to get all the rewards.
But I’m not even done leveling his talents and I got ruan mei in 30 pulls too. So now I’m leveling/building etc…. And I want to use him somewhere else but in swarm disaster it suddenly feels like he deals a lot less damage. Like with the bosses in the new gamemode, I could even hit 700k but in swarm disaster he hits 100k against bosses. Idk whats up with that.
About the damage done in divergent universe vs swarm disaster, don’t forget the equations and the weighted curios. Maybe those contributed a lot to Boot Hill’s damage.

We need a game mode for specifically Hunt characters. I thought Pure fiction was gonna be for erudition but no, destruction took over that mode AGAIN.
I think a game mode where they penalise you for multitargeting and deduct shit load of points if you attacked multiple enemies in a single action. That's the only way destruction characters or other multitargeting paths won't be able to be meta in that mode and The hunt characters will shine once again.
Well... just like Wriothesley stuck between Neuvi and Furina, Boothill stuck between Robin and Firefly... it's rough, but all that matters is that I got them and I love them (｡>﹏<｡)

Honestly, I planned on getting him. Due to my lack of jades and the high probability of hitting hard pity along with losing 50/50 I decided against it. As much as I don't care about battles I really needed a support not another dps :( and Jiaoqiu was coming, rumored to be an amazing Pela upgrade, finally a male support character.
Unfortunately he got the short stick of being helpful to Acheron only and not even that much so as not to overpower her too much :| the poor treatment continues ig, the probability of him getting his kit changed and buffed like FF isn't as high
Honestly I like him a lot more than I thought. Firefly feels like you have to have EVERYTHING right for her to feel good (exact artifacts, talents, light cone, exact support buffs up). Whereas with Boothill I don't have that and he is doing CRAZY damage just single target only which is the only drawback. (I went in with liking Firefly's design but not at all her suit and not thinking anything about Boothill so no bias at all haha)
Mihoyo gigabuffed firefly and made her 2 sets exclusive for her, they did him dirty, I still pulled for him and his LC, I love him, but can't argue against ff being the better choice (I don't have her btw and I won't get her).

TBH with you, I was going to pull for boothill until the firefly v3 update. She just got buffed too much and you only have enough supports for one break dps. I think he is more fun to play, but he does less damage while being hunt and having to build trickshots. He got done dirty by hyv, and that's really all there is to it.
Plus his lack in marketing compared to them and his lack of story relevance compared to them as well
Dude is fun as hell and honestly has the best set up for a story and we'll have to wait probably a whole 3-4 patches to finally get to it. Unless the IPC and Boothill are being shoved in with the Xianzhou stuff too
+ not everyone has him build or has teammates to make him shine. I only just now pulled RM and didn't use him on last stage bc my other team is weak defense wise. So there are many different reasons.

I love my boothill, and I’m glad I picked him up because it was that or Clara. Not hate to her but I haven’t planned on getting her since she only decided to join my roster when pulling for jingliu. I had only planned for boothill for my physical coverage.
True, I particularly don't like her design wise (which scientist dresses like that and plays a guitar) and personality wise, but she is a Harmony powerhouse, she won't go away from break teams until the moment Hoyo releases a better break support.

Ngl, I did many Divergent Universe runs with Boothill, but 3x more runs with Acheron (I'm at rank 40), because she can cut short the runs considerably.
And here's me: Having a blast with him and HTB for being an absolute powerhouse; bosses get wiped with no sweat - partnered with Welt's slow he's unbelievable.

I didnt have RM, and used Boothill to clear at the highest level… took him three shots total once broken (both “waves”) So… it may be 12%, but that’s a bad indicator of performance methinks
Yes? I mean by paying attention to leaks and testings basically showcased how much Firefly was more effective than Boothill in every way. I know I saw so many salty posts before Firefly's arrival but those same people have shut their mouths now and deleted their post to save face. (I know who you are).

Boothill was only good during MoC thanks to the trotters giving break boost + extra turn to hurry up and get those annoying 3 stacks to make him at least a decent Hunt character.
In the end, our voices our opinions our viewpoints don't mean shit towards Hoyoverse. If you pulled for Boothill, then fucking pull him because you enjoy his character. Looking at more things to keep denying yourselves are just making you and your fandom worse. That and also let people taste the meta that he and Firefly explore. That and Argenti is tagging along with him, so he also can be used for some fun comedic relief as well.
Yeah having Acheron as a fake Galaxy Ranger and not showing us a real one wouldn't make sense as well.
Plus while in English it's downplayed: Oswaldo the Nameless that is a director of the fanatic arm of the IPC (the actual more direct translation), so that has certainly been there for a minute to be explored on the IPC and certainly show the split in the IPC when comparing the stonehearts against Oswaldo.

I know Argenti is also aoe but I don't have Huohuo and my Tingyun isn't built, so getting him to a similar level of both personal and team investment is going to be a lot more taxing. Indeed. On the bright side, just like with Ayato, I've pretty much gotten most of my main teams to clear endgame content done, so by the time he reruns again I'll be able to pull whoever I want without worrying about being able to clear things.

I can't get Firefly and also have her as a project while needing the same team and everything And that aside, I took a break for about 6 months and came back on Acheron's banner. I really need a good erudition character for this new Pure Fiction thingy, and I already have a good enough team to just slot Jade right in. Easy fix there for me.
Complete opposite for me. Never been so uninterested in a character before till Jade. First time I’ve genuinely had 0 desire to pull for a unit so that saves me some gems. FF is cute but SAM is where it’s at for me.
Me having beef with Erudition characters but still pulling them (I lost 50/50 on Jingyuan on his first banner and skip second one - now I'm contemplating pulling Jade although her 2.3 appearance has more personality than 3 patches worth of FF's appearance). My account is strong enough to clear any content and even in 2.4 I'm only looking out for Jiaoqiu (if he gets significantly buffed). I'm waiting for Lingsha and Feixiao currently so might as well skip 2.4 whole if Jiaoqiu remains underwhelming as he is in V1. If Feixiao has Firefly/DHIL level of E2 so I might just save enough to get her to E2S1.

Same here, I only got her because sadly even if I hate the character and they're broken as fuck I'll get them (I loathe Jingliu and FF but got them because they're meta asf) but apart from that meh, Boothill is peak and will become even more peak once oswaldo arc starts. A proud E1S0 boothill main and will get him to E2S1 on his rerun. Another Sunday enjoyer, no wonder our tastes are so similar haha.

He's literally the reason I started playing the game. His character design, personality, and gameplay really just appealed to me. It's unfortunate not many people cared to pull for him but I understand why so it is what it is.
Same, I saw his fine ass on tiktok reels and showed my friend who played star rail and got some info. I downloaded the game a day later and was simping so hard for 2 months while waiting, I still am to this day. He's been carrying my baby account so hard.
He's great, looks great, feels great, works great, the only reason I didn't pull on his banner is because firefly was next, and even with 150+ tickets, I only got one copy of her. He also had the great misfortune of being between some of the greatest banners, between Acheron, Aventurine, Jingliu, Firefly, even Loucha, all of them are top of the game so he didn't get time to shine For his rerun, I hope they flesh out his character beforehand, show us more about him in the story, etc. That way, more people will pull and we get more of him as a person to want to have on our teams, like with Firefly's interaction in the story
Ever since I saw how hyv used him in the story, and the unfair lack of publicity, as well as gameplay related stuff being nerfed for him, I just knew only the chosen ones would pull for him. And I am very happy with him. Now what annoys me is how ppl just skip him or underestimate him in recommendation lists ... I get it is because Hunt just cannot win in this game, but he embodies Hunt as a character so much, he is so cool.
Yup. Despite all the unfairness, I enjoy using him so much. Also on a little sidetracked topic, I feel like there's a division in the team. He clearly was made with passion. I mean; his design is peak, his kit is good and enjoyable (albeit a little restrictive on certain conditions), his backstory and personality is good and not to forget hands down one of the best character trailer I've seen. But for some reason whatsoever, his marketing is dogshit, his BiS was alter in favor to a certain waifu, and no proper events or quest whatsoever during his banner. I'm so mad that his limited event was a daily assignment that are done with just some click and a few texts.
Yeah that "All About Boothill" quest was so phoned in for learning about him. I love deploying Boothill but I couldn't be arsed to read the 24 assignments at the time. Plus it was barely anything about his past.
Designers try to make compelling characters, but the higher ups is the ones who decides if they get story time or not.
He is definetly a character that's going to be relevant for a future plot line so I understand the lack of visibility during the quests.

Seeing that insane 950k+ one shot on Argenti with 3 star LC and 2pc2pc in AS made me lose my shit when it happened for the first time. For me he's way better than FF (I have her too but she's just a meta tool for me the same way Jingliu is since I don't like her either) in every way possible and I'll cherish him till the end and one day I'll get him to E6S1 (E1S0 currently) just to look at his human self which he once had.
I managed to beat moc12 first half in 3 cycles so he can win, moc blessing def plays a factor though.
Idk what y’all be on about with this “hunt cant win” especially characters like my Boothill, Yanqing, and Seele (at least when i used her) they just have more than enough speed and power to very quickly kill the enemies and with that speed move again very soon, might as well be AoE ☕️
I agree and I like Hunt personally, but that's the attitude many people in the fandom have regarding this path sadly. Said perception affects the amount of people who hype a character or end up pulling him.
Boothill was the first step to altering that perception and his performance here is doing a great job in doing that.
people were saving for firefly/drained after other characters back to back and hoyo did TERRIBLE job of promoting him with a bad event, no story quest, not much as relevancy in the story as other characters so yes unfortunately. atleast he has a strong kit. considering the circumstances, this appearance rate seems ok.

Boothill skipped me. I think he would definitely be my favorite DPS if I had him. I'm gonna be patient and wait for his rerun I'm a Sunday saver, that should tell you my patience level. (haha) I'm really surprised to see he has a low usage rate?? It might be because he was next to Firefly and Robin, and most people wanted them. Ruan Mei also just got her first rerun
It's his appearance rate, which means it is dependent on who owns who. Since not much pulled on boothill, he has low appearance rate. But I surmise that his usage rate (% of havers who used him) should be high.
Firefly got 3 different trailers to boost publicity, has Stellaron Hunter cred, plus the waifu push from Hoyo in the story, she was even pushed back for spoiler reasons to further boost the anticipation for her release. Only Acheron and maybe Sparkle before that got 3 different trailers, a Myriad Celestia, a character trailer and an animated short. Now we have the planar set that specifically supports her over Boothill, the relic set that works better for her since she deals her own superbreaks. There is also the Hunt vs Destruction disparity on top of that, with the latter being the most usable DPS path across all endgame content, even after Apocalyptic Shadow release. Compare this to Boothill, we didn't even know who he was in 2.0, prior to his drip marketing, then he gets a grand total of 1 dedicated trailer, has no dedicated relic sets, is a Hunt unit with no clear dominance over a single endgame content. The only ones who got him were the ones who found him cool in the drip marketing and trailer. The situation seems similar to Acheron hype, until you remember that the banners before and after her were Sparkle and Aventurine, a game changing amplifier and a game changing sustain, and both of them got mad marketing. Sparkle got 3 different trailers. Aventurine got all of the 2.1 story to flesh out his character before his banner dropped. We have to read Boothill's character bio for his story. I am not pulling FF on this run as a E0S1 Boothill enjoyer, but Hoyo does have clear favourites to push sales. FF is their current iconic unit after Acheron, 2-3 patches later, it will be someone else.
It’s strange how with characters like Kafka or RM who had major roles in the story (while most of the importance ff did was offscreen), they gave us options whether to like them or not, but for ff it was pretty much set in stone. Sure you can choose to be upset at her for lying, but at the end of the day it will still go back to be affectionate. People argue that mc and ff might have been close pre-story, but Blade specifically said MC used to followed Kafka everywhere so i don’t know. And the scene with the fireworks in 2.3 … i don’t treat mc as a self-insert but i have a feeling they are someone from the development team’s.

Dreaming would make sense. But the scene with Jade and Sunday looked super serious and real for me so it’s unlikely.

I’m fine with them not giving us the option to dislike a character (even if I don’t like it) because I think it’s a fairly common tactic in games for plot progression, but I really hate that Trailblazer and Firefly’s interactions almost exclusively read as romantic. Her character feels really underdeveloped as a result, making it even harder to like her.

I'm apart of the 12.73%, I used Boothill and IPC FUA in the new Gamemode and both Worked really well. Hunt may be Unappreciated by the Majority of the Playerbase for a decent amount of Reasons, Though both IPC FUA and Boothill team comps are my 2 favorite team comps in the game. They are both so fun.

and even so Aventurine isn't the best sustain for top tier clear team either. he just provides so much for casual-ish player. From what I know optimize players or speed runners tend to go for houhou. she's best for so many teams (DOT, hyper carry jing yuan, argenti, IL, JL, etc.) while aventurine is just best for premium FUA and second place for every other team (which is why he's "the best" overall don't get me wrong). and he's also not that far ahead of houhou in FUA team either cuz topaz and ratio and robin is always HUNGRY for energy + atk.
Aventurine has highest usage rate among all the sustains second time in a row (and MOC stats are not made by casual players). That as well as a having a team where no one else can replace him (FUA) are definition of meta.

For one patch before he shares it with JL. Acheron gets 2 patches and then shares it with FF (another female). I guess "always" wasn't the right word, but "mostly". Honestly, aside from DHIL and Aventurine, no other male was considered meta compared to the amount of meta females there are. And the biggest factor why males feel weaker in general is the fact that Harmony units which is arguably the most futureproof meta path, we have 0 off. And only 1 support male after an entire year, which according to v1 is only a Acheron support while being comparable to 4* on non-Acheron teams. Not saying males are weak and unusable, just more lacklustre in comparison to female kits imo.

Ngl when I saw how much Firefly had been put forward this patch, I just hated the entire thing. I didn't hate her before, but I sure hate when a game wants me to love a specific character. It's like it's saying "Look at this, we know you absolutely adore this". Well, I might have if she didn't take 50% of the CGs time, but now I just hate her I'm sorry. Every single other Penacony character, as well as others from the IPC, didn't get as much marketing, trailers and stuff like this, as she did. She is: a stellar on hunter, part of a mech program blabla, has a deadly anthropy disease and she's a waifu. Ah, and man, her actually being her, is SOOOO stupid. Blade saying: "My life is an eternal purgatory, and Sam, Sam's good at creating purgatory" doesn't make any sense now, unless you're like ppl saying what SW said still makes sense if it's "about video games lmao". Well the thing is, he’s not usable everywhere. Like you can use him in MoC and the new gamemode but not in pure fiction for example. He’s really just a boss killer. Since I got him, I can clear moc and the new gamemode to get all the rewards. But I’m not even done leveling his talents and I got ruan mei in 30 pulls too. So now I’m leveling/building etc…. And I want to use him somewhere else but in swarm disaster it suddenly feels like he deals a lot less damage. Like with the bosses in the new gamemode, I could even hit 700k but in swarm disaster he hits 100k against bosses. Idk whats up with that.
About the damage done in divergent universe vs swarm disaster, don’t forget the equations and the weighted curios. Maybe those contributed a lot to Boot Hill’s damage.
No good path that buffs him specifically unfortunately. Even the new break blessings some are meant for firefly obviously

Hunt characters always get shafted. . We need a game mode for specifically Hunt characters. I thought Pure fiction was gonna be for erudition but no, destruction took over that mode AGAIN. I think a game mode where they penalise you for multitargeting and deduct shit load of points if you attacked multiple enemies in a single action. That's the only way destruction characters or other multitargeting paths won't be able to be meta in that mode and The hunt characters will shine once again.

Honestly, I planned on getting him. Due to my lack of jades and the high probability of hitting hard pity along with losing 50/50 I decided against it. As much as I don't care about battles I really needed a support not another dps :( and Jiaoqiu was coming, rumored to be an amazing Pela upgrade, finally a male support character. Unfortunately he got the short stick of being helpful to Acheron only and not even that much so as not to overpower her too much :| the poor treatment continues ig, the probability of him getting his kit changed and buffed like FF isn't as high
Honestly I like him a lot more than I thought. Firefly feels like you have to have EVERYTHING right for her to feel good (exact artifacts, talents, light cone, exact support buffs up). Whereas with Boothill I don't have that and he is doing CRAZY damage just single target only which is the only drawback. (I went in with liking Firefly's design but not at all her suit and not thinking anything about Boothill so no bias at all haha)
Mihoyo gigabuffed firefly and made her 2 sets exclusive for her, they did him dirty, I still pulled for him and his LC, I love him, but can't argue against ff being the better choice (I don't have her btw and I won't get her).

TBH with you, I was going to pull for boothill until the firefly v3 update. She just got buffed too much and you only have enough supports for one break dps. I think he is more fun to play, but he does less damage while being hunt and having to build trickshots. He got done dirty by hyv, and that's really all there is to it.

Ngl, I did many Divergent Universe runs with Boothill, but 3x more runs with Acheron (I'm at rank 40), because she can cut short the runs considerably.
And here's me: Having a blast with him and HTB for being an absolute powerhouse; bosses get wiped with no sweat - partnered with Welt's slow he's unbelievable.

Yes? I mean by paying attention to leaks and testings basically showcased how much Firefly was more effective than Boothill in every way. I know I saw so many salty posts before Firefly's arrival but those same people have shut their mouths now and deleted their post to save face. (I know who you are). I came on here to check to see if people on here are still being on depression about their pulls on Boothill and a month later it's still going I see. Boothill was only good during MoC thanks to the trotters giving break boost + extra turn to hurry up and get those annoying 3 stacks to make him at least a decent Hunt character. In the end, our voices our opinions our viewpoints don't mean shit towards Hoyoverse. If you pulled for Boothill, then fucking pull him because you enjoy his character. Looking at more things to keep denying yourselves are just making you and your fandom worse. Unless you are rich or have rich parents with their credit cards, then pull everything and don't think about investment or retirement then.
