What else are they to do? At $28 dollar entry they’re still packed and the facilities overwhelmed. They want less people, that’s why they keep raising the price.
Red Tractor Pizza - A large specialty pizza now costs $38 - $41 which is insane. We have gotten the same order from there for years and in a 2.5 year span our order when from $56 to $94 (this includes a tip) but that is insane. We won't go there anymore, they have literally priced the locals out.
I just but their dough now and make my own pizza. One $10 (I know, ridiculous, but I never plan dinner until right before it) makes 2 large thin crust pizzas at home with as many toppings as you want. Use muir glen pizza sauce and it’s better than takeout!
Unfortunately there isn't an On the Rise dough that is gluten free. I think there is a gluten free dough from another company available at T & C but it's ridiculously priced at $9.99.
A burger with cheese at the Jump in Gallatin gateway. I’m sorry, but $25 for an average burger and fries is robbery.
They also charge you $10 for a biscuit and milk gravy. That’s right, not SAUSAGE GRAVY, but just milk gravy. A sausage patty is extra.
Fuck that place.
The prices there are obscene. We went last week and I was shocked at how much the burger cost! It happened to be trivia night and the prize was a $50 gift card and I literally joked “so you could get one hamburger”
Yep they are just another hyped up burger bar with shitty over-priced food.
Like the other commenter stated, their burgers are really dry. Yet somehow they still fall apart while eating them.
The only thing I was liberated from was a burger with taste. Seriously... how do you make a hamburger taste like nothing? They are the communion wafer of burgers. Also, , the flavored goo they call a shake was gross. And what's up with the french fry nugget things??? Also flavorless. Not enough salt and ketchup in the world to make me want to go back. Most places will get a 2nd chance from me. Not this place. Oh... and no service to speak of... but, please... here's the suggested tip. No! Never again.
Wife and I tired that the other day. We got two basic burgers for the same price as at the jump, but it was terrible. Driest burger I’ve ever eaten, overcooked, and I’ll say it again, DRY.
Gonna have to disagree with you hard on that one. Get their pork chop sandwich. It’s a little pricey compared to what it used to be, but still half the price of a burger up the street!
The problem is Stacey’s can’t keep anyone in their 100 degree kitchen outside a rotation of 15 yr olds and ex cons. Meanwhile the jump picks up the guy that ran Last Call. Not justifying their prices but the difference in food quality is night and day over the last year.
At Stacy’s, you get a fair price for decent food. At the Jump, you get an outrageous price for bellow average food. They are not comparable.
(I’ll let you in on a hint, the 15 year old is also making the burger at the jump)
Edit: According to their own [website](https://www.thejumpmt.com/about) and [the BDC](https://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/news/business/former-strip-club-in-gallatin-gateway-reopens-as-restaurant-bar/article_a20c7897-a247-59b0-86a0-dc734ca6529a.html), the Jump is owned by Lynn Shanahan and her business partner Tom Henesh, not the Yellowstone Club.
\[my original comment said it's owned by the [Blue Collar Restaurant Group](https://www.bcrg.co/our-company/), but I was referring to Liberty Burger, not the Jump. Misinformation spreads fast if you're not careful.\]
Oops - you are correct. I thought the previous comment was referring to Liberty Burger, which is owned by BCRG. Thank you for setting the record straight! I shall amend my previous statement.
They were just a handful of units they threw in over some renovated office spaces. I was honestly shocked, the layout was sort of neat but you'd expect like 3-4,000 a month
If you're talking about the ones right by owenhouse I'm not quite sure what those run
These aren’t constructed yet I guess I was getting ahead of myself. They are digging out a lot on the north side of Main i can’t remember exactly where but somewhere between Wendy’s and the dmv building. The fence is wrapped and advertising units coming soon.
I was in Bozey for college from 2010-2015. I always split a 2-bedroom apartment with various friends and it was $300-$350 a month for my half of the rent. These were nice, newer apartments near the campus.
In 2009 I paid $180 for a bedroom in a shared house near campus. It was a shitty basement room and honestly all I could afford at the time. I can’t imagine being a young person with similar financials trying to rent a room here anymore ☹️
My apartment right behind town and country on campus was $640 a month total for a two bedroom and all utilities were included. And I didn’t have to buy a parking pass for campus. Lived there from 2010-2014
$500 - $1,000 quote to replace our garage thermostat, depending on the replacement model. ($175 to tell us it's the thermostat and not the heating unit.)
We opted to buy and install the $35 thermostat ourselves.
Definitely restaurant prices; we rarely go out to eat anymore. But one that got me recently is I had a cotton midi-length dress (not a gown or a long dress) dry-cleaned at persnickety and it cost $27.
I'm part of a nonprofit with a building located downtown. City taxes went from $15,000 (2021 FY), $20,000 (2022 FY), and $40,000 (2023 FY). [estimates rounding down.]
Not local artists! Pretty much every local artist is fairly priced and more deserving of their goods being looked at. Not to be cheesy, but, i guess i’m cheesin.
Restaurants in general. We are a family of 5 and eating out no long happens any more. Seriously $20+ plates. Throw a couple beers in with the meal and your in the mid hundreds for a night out with the fam.
You can’t complain about any of the prices at Whole Foods. I walked in one time to check it out and literally everything is over priced, I could spend a whole paycheck on a weeks worth of groceries
I mean, clearly I can.
I had never been there before, never bought anything from there, and literally just bopped in to grab some lunch from the hot-bar and was gobsmacked by the price.
Connect Properties is renting a new 3br town home for $3,000/mo when a similar property across the street has been on the rental market at $2,300/mo for the last 3 months.....
Bti log homes , they have a monopoly on the region.
We were quoted close to 200k! for repairs on a 2bed home that cost about a quarter of that to build in 2004.
we know the man who built it. He and I did the repairs last summer for about 5k
Cost on scotch and Irish whiskey has gone way up in the last couple years everywhere. On top of that, the state has super high taxes on all liquor. If you want cheap scotch, you’re in the wrong place.
Bozeman Hot Springs
I remember it used to cost eight dollars to get in. I can see needing to raise the fee, but they like doubled it overnight and then kept raising it.
And last time I visited it was dicksgusting.
That, too. It was always crowded, so the locker rooms needed cleaning attention that they didn't get. And they have the worst shower heads ever.
You can see a sheen in dead skin cells and body oils in top of the water. And it smells like sweaty socks
Went downhill when they took out the roller rink and arcade. $3 admission at that time.
We need a roller rink in town, stat.
What else are they to do? At $28 dollar entry they’re still packed and the facilities overwhelmed. They want less people, that’s why they keep raising the price.
The athlete’s foot, dirty diapers, and rash-inducing members locker rooms come at no extra charge.

Woah!
I just but their dough now and make my own pizza. One $10 (I know, ridiculous, but I never plan dinner until right before it) makes 2 large thin crust pizzas at home with as many toppings as you want. Use muir glen pizza sauce and it’s better than takeout!
You can get on the rise dough at T and C for half that, fyi
Yep we are now doing On the Rise dough at T & C as well and it is 3.49. Makes a great pizza.
Thanks, I couldn’t remember the exact price! Edit spelling
Any gluten free by chance?
Unfortunately there isn't an On the Rise dough that is gluten free. I think there is a gluten free dough from another company available at T & C but it's ridiculously priced at $9.99.

Yea my wife and I joke that it’s called the jump because eating there makes you want to jump into traffic. Food sucks and is overpriced.
The prices there are obscene. We went last week and I was shocked at how much the burger cost! It happened to be trivia night and the prize was a $50 gift card and I literally joked “so you could get one hamburger”
I went to that Liberty Burger place in the Marketplace with a friend and 2 burgers with fries and 2 beers was almost $50.
Yep they are just another hyped up burger bar with shitty over-priced food. Like the other commenter stated, their burgers are really dry. Yet somehow they still fall apart while eating them.

I Was not impressed with liberty burger 👎
Wife and I tired that the other day. We got two basic burgers for the same price as at the jump, but it was terrible. Driest burger I’ve ever eaten, overcooked, and I’ll say it again, DRY.
How do you mess up a burg that bad?!
Still a better option than Stacey’s.

Stacey’s is disgusting.
Owned by the Yellowstone club…not surprised at the prices
No it’s not. BCRG only owns the business in the market, sidewinders, and those in Jackson.
Oops - you are correct. I thought the previous comment was referring to Liberty Burger, which is owned by BCRG. Thank you for setting the record straight! I shall amend my previous statement.
Really????!!! As if they could somehow become less appealing.
God damn.
The jump was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I’ll never go back or recommend it. 🤮
Grocery store. That's all I can afford, and I can barely afford that.
Every house on the market.
I was working on some new 2 bed apartments downtown and the property manager said they're going to run about $7,000 a month for rent
Is it the brand new ones going in on main? It’s really frustrating to see the new units going up with such a focus on “boutique”.
They were just a handful of units they threw in over some renovated office spaces. I was honestly shocked, the layout was sort of neat but you'd expect like 3-4,000 a month If you're talking about the ones right by owenhouse I'm not quite sure what those run

It’s the lot where Bamboo Garden used to be.
Wow!

Fuck. I'm only in my late 20's so really missed the "good old days"
That would easily be 800/month now, I am so jealous
My apartment right behind town and country on campus was $640 a month total for a two bedroom and all utilities were included. And I didn’t have to buy a parking pass for campus. Lived there from 2010-2014
Omg
Return to office may ruin their plans. Maybe
$15,000 cowboy boots downtown
Rich people live in a whole different universe who has that kind of money to spend on a shoe and why?
To blend in with the locals, duh. Don’t you watch Yellowstone?
“I went on vacation to Montana and got these boots! I’m such a cowboy now!” Shallon’s followers, probably
That girls fcking nuts 🫡
Because Lucchese’s work for all occasions.
People say I’m crazy I got diamonds on the soles of my boots… 🎶
At the new place?
Yes
Water, electric, and property taxes. Speaking of, anyone know when the amended taxes are being sent out?
$500 - $1,000 quote to replace our garage thermostat, depending on the replacement model. ($175 to tell us it's the thermostat and not the heating unit.) We opted to buy and install the $35 thermostat ourselves.
Ooof. That’s horrible.

Prices at Jam
Wait until you guys see what we're going to start charging to use Reddit! I mean, it's r/Bozeman, after all. Very high rent internet space.
Definitely restaurant prices; we rarely go out to eat anymore. But one that got me recently is I had a cotton midi-length dress (not a gown or a long dress) dry-cleaned at persnickety and it cost $27.

Aren’t nonprofits exempt from property taxes? https://leg.mt.gov/bills/mca/title_0150/chapter_0060/part_0020/section_0010/0150-0060-0020-0010.html
Depends on the type of non-profit. Political PACs pay property taxes.
Not local artists! Pretty much every local artist is fairly priced and more deserving of their goods being looked at. Not to be cheesy, but, i guess i’m cheesin.
This!!!!
Food.
Apparently a pizza at red tractor goes for $42…
Restaurants in general. We are a family of 5 and eating out no long happens any more. Seriously $20+ plates. Throw a couple beers in with the meal and your in the mid hundreds for a night out with the fam.
A night with your mom
I used to be able to get a KFC 10 piece bucket, a 6 pack and night with OPs mom for under $30 SMH 😮💨
Savage
Gottem
Sashimi at Whole Foods. I popped in for the first time while getting my tires repaired. $17 for ~ 1oz of thinly sliced sashimi.
I understand that sashimi’s a luxury item but that’s just wild
Connect Properties is renting a new 3br town home for $3,000/mo when a similar property across the street has been on the rental market at $2,300/mo for the last 3 months.....
One of the owners of connect, the one that looks like a decomposing iguana, is one of the greediest folks in town.
Picture please. Pleeease
Bozeman hot springs.
5$ a slice at Tarantinos. What a croc
Storage units
Really? I just looked into some and it was like $80 a month for some decent storage space
I just got one that I thought was reasonably priced, but they make you buy insurance which was almost 50% of the rental price.
Oh one more, a pint of ice cream at sweet peaks is 11.50
Something like $130 to get a key cut at Toyota Ressler
$300 worth of groceries lasting 1.5-2 weeks instead of a month. It’s painful.
Bti log homes , they have a monopoly on the region. We were quoted close to 200k! for repairs on a 2bed home that cost about a quarter of that to build in 2004. we know the man who built it. He and I did the repairs last summer for about 5k
And I've heard people say the economy is amazing 🙄
For those collecting the profits, it’s never been better 🫠
Not me 😔
Wild Crumb drip coffee.

Everything
East Main Liquor. Glenfiddich 18 year old went from about $140 to $200!
Don’t shop at that garbage they price bottles at whatever they want .
Cost on scotch and Irish whiskey has gone way up in the last couple years everywhere. On top of that, the state has super high taxes on all liquor. If you want cheap scotch, you’re in the wrong place.
Bozeman Symphony student rush tickets. $10 🤯
Oh no.. $10??
Rent, ski passes, grocery prices, friggen USED car prices!
$8 latte at Wild Joe’s
