This is a bad post for this sub bro.

Banzaithepug

What kind of bots are upvoting this post? It clearly doesn't fit the sub

Halorym

Big problem with reddit's base premise is a lot of people don't go to subs and just flick through their own home page, upvoting what they like and not even noticing the sub.

No-Fox8743

I've literally seen this same post like twenty times in the past year.

popylung

This is unintentionally going to hurt your child in the long run. Rewarding kids for reading books has shown to discourage reading in their adult years, when they wouldnā€™t get overt rewards for reading. Same thing goes for exercise, going to bed on time, etc

UltimateArsehole

What sort of book features chapters 160 pages long?

Delicious_Cup_4306

160 total pages

UltimateArsehole

So a single-chapter book? The original statement is, at best, poorly written and ambiguous.

TyphonLegion

No, he is referring to the fact that the books have chapters, and the book has at least 160 pages. The sentence was pretty easy to read and understand.

potatopierogie

Only ambiguous to someone so pedantic they can't function

beardgangwhat

[shallow *AND* pedantic ](https://youtu.be/yetwdpsiM8Q?si=HXVZTlUIazcV9npQ)

InternalCucumbers

'chapter books' are books with chapters, no ambiguity.

MarvinNeslo

Chapter books are stories made for immediate readers (usually ages 7-10) that consist of mostly prose. They can consist of a few illustrations. Chapter books mostly get their name from their short chapters, which makes ready more digestible for younger independent readers.

_erufu_

Chapter books are for 7-10 year olds? Iā€™ve definitely seen books for teens and adults that have chapters.

MarvinNeslo

Yeah man. Lots of books have chapters. Thanks. A ā€œchapter bookā€ is designated for kids. Google it.

_erufu_

Huh, Iā€™ve never heard of this. I assumed you just meant ā€˜a book that has chaptersā€™.

FreshMutzz

Nah. Your reading level is just lower than this guys kids. You should maybe move back to chapter books.
