You'd like to see a bit better than 1 hit in 9 chances, still.
Getting one out with a guy on 2nd or 3rd happens. Getting two or more in a row kinda blows.
Had to work tonight so I didn’t get to see the game, but I feel like we didn’t win that game a week ago they way we were playing. These are the ones that decide seasons that you have to win.
Do it! My view right before I got dunked on, lmao

A friend of mine and I do love going once or twice a year in the North Georgia mountains! Not sure if we’ll get around to doing it again this year because his wife and he are expecting their second child in August. But he and I have been going camping for years, so I know we’ll do it again sometime! We’ve been rained on pretty hard too once so I know the feeling lol.
Our starting pitching has carried us a lot the last few weeks. Fried only gave up one run but he obviously wasn't at his best, leaving it to the bullpen to hold the line so the offense can do their thing.
I genuinely think Olson pitched well and his numbers don't tell the whole story. But the offense got into the bullpen and that Duvall flyout genuinely was a 2024 Braves moment -- should have been a homer.
But man. Jesse Chavez just came in a shoved. I got nervous with Daysbel but he nailed it too. And then Ozzie finally delivered, which I hope means he'll get hot soon.
What a game!
reese olson fucked the entire clubhouses wives or something.
braves fan in tigers country with season tickets to the tigers. olson gets literally zero help every game, even when compared to a bad tigers offense. hes had a couple rough outtings recently, but the first 10 starts or so were absolutely fantastic. was a time when he had a sub-2 era and a w/l of like 1-6. dude deserves much better
Thanks for sharing the link. After viewing Jesse’s replies to the reporters’ questions, his temperament would be great as a coach in the Braves organization.
This was probably the most fun I’d had watching a full Braves game in quite some time.
Obviously, this past weekend with all the scoring was really fun, but the super close low scoring game kept me on my toes!
So Forrest Wall in his first game up delivera a huge clutch hit to score one of our two runs tonight. Might be another big positive brewing with him getting the call up.
Took some time off work to spend a few days at my Papa's and we spent the day watching some of the Ken Burns Civil War documentary. Then cut the game on and he went on for the 100th time about growing up in Savannah and seeing guys like Hank and other legends at Grayson Stadium back in the 50s. After we watched the game he looked at me and asked if I had ever heard of Youtube lol. He's 81.
He came down a few years ago and my wife got some tickets from her work but it was a normal game so he didnt mind. Not sure if he's seen any Bananaball stuff but if I had to guess in typical old man fashion he wouldn't be a fan lol.
And tbf to him I'm 25 and can think its a little tacky and silly but I definitely see the appeal for younger fans and those who dont really like baseball
Is anyone actually watching the NBA finals? It feels like it’s had absolutely zero publicity this year and for good reason. Easily the worst championship of any major sport
I absolutely cannot stand watching NBA basketball. Absolutely constant noise noise noise and that alone is enough to make me not want to watch. Same reason I can't stand when we play in LA, the PA there is unbearably obnoxious.
Easily the worst sport in the U.S besides golf or tennis lol. I just don't find it interesting at all. Baseball is the greatest game of all time and always will be especially when we get rid of the 70 year old umpires.
During his interview the other week he sounded like he plans to coach in the future, but he said he doesn't want to do it until he feels like he can no longer contribute at an MLB level.
Interesting comments from Jesse post game. Said something like the culture here doesn’t judge him for how he likes to prepare for games and that wasn’t the case anywhere else he’s played, so that’s why the results are how they are.
Ya I’ve heard him talk about it before and from what I’ve gathered our organization gives proven veterans the freedom to go about their routine in a way that works for them. They don’t waste their time & make them follow a certain structure that doesn’t work for them individually.
[He said he'll keep playing as long as the Braves will have him](https://youtu.be/uSK8LfjDBVc?si=CySYeMuIO6RsoxpB&t=1604), so the ball is in AA's court
He said something similar in an interview somebody posted here a couple weeks ago so you can go watch that
https://reddit.com/r/Braves/comments/1d7oo5g/jesse_chavez_call_to_the_pen_episode_44/
EDIT: here's the post-game from tonight: https://x.com/BravesOnBally/status/1802896184220008545
Yeah I was watching that interview too. I love our culture. This team gets it. No way would Jesse still be in the majors if not for the atmosphere our team creates. We’re just a perfect fit for him.
Jfc.
What is going on in Boston?
The Cs are cruising to a ship in 5 and the Bosox are looking absurd in June after splitting us and taking series from the Yankees and Phillies. And theyre just dropping big numbers.
Are we entirely certain John Henry didn’t make a back door deal for our cheating lab?
S/O to whoever [gave Blooper the Grant Holmes hair](https://x.com/BallySportsSO/status/1802841038270214649?s=19) for tonight's pre-game shenanigans. 🤣🤣🤣
(Also, I'm a little bit amazed at how much Grant looks like Max with longer hair... just sayin'.)
Just a reminder that Duvall hit a pitch 104 mph with a launch angle of 31 degrees. Here's a chart showing all balls in 2023 with the same stats. Average distance 404 ft.
https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/statcast_field?ev=104&la=31
My seats are on the first base side and I was big mad about that wind (although simultaneously I appreciated any time there was wind to cool me off...I'd sweat my ass off if that's the sacrifice for a braves win).
I’m definitely feeling hype after that one! That’s the kind of game we haven’t won in some time. Offense wasn’t hitting with RISP for most of the game, but we got it done when we needed to! Shoutout Forrest Wall for stepping up! And an Ozzie Chop House bomb to give us the lead for good! Max wasn’t his strongest tonight but he still kept it to just that one run, which gave our bats what they needed to get it done tonight! Bullpen was short-handed tonight, but they all stepped up too! Not many runs scored but they did their jobs!
And I’m not just saying this because we won, but I have no problem with how Snit handled the bullpen tonight. He knew we didn’t have all our best arms available tonight, so he was right to see how long he could ride with Max. Hernandez in the 8th was really the only choice because Jimenez was needed for the 9th due to Iglesias not being available tonight. I guess maybe we could’ve used Bummer too but I prefer using him for exclusive ground ball situations.
In all, huge win! Not our cleanest game, but when we can win when things aren’t all clicking, that’s big. And we are happy on this Monday night! Go Braves!
This team two weeks ago loses a game like this.
The offense, albeit not what we’ve seen recently, did enough to win the game. That’s a sign that things are slowly, but surely, moving in the right direction.
Go get one of the next two and let’s get this train really rolling heading into the ASG stretch.
Offense did not look good and we only scored 2, but luckily we're facing the Tigers and that's all we needed.
Good team to face for Fried to not have his best stuff too.
Ok great win! But Forrest was slow to get up after stealing second, Laureano comes in for him, and in that shot of the high five line after the game he was really limping…. REALLY hope it’s nothing
Good looking out.
Taking that series from the guardians felt like we were just about to roll on the season.
That following west coast trip really started a shit stretch.
Who was the new guy in the radio last night with Joe?
I asked a couple times last night, still no answer. Would very much like to know.
I found him his name is Tom Hart
Thanks!
RISP bedeviled the team again, but a win is a win.
I mean, the only left four on base in total off of seven hits and zero walks. It's not exactly like the paths were busy all night.
You'd like to see a bit better than 1 hit in 9 chances, still. Getting one out with a guy on 2nd or 3rd happens. Getting two or more in a row kinda blows.
I agree but this club stranded like 26 runners a few weeks ago. Not every game is going to be 9-2.
Had to work tonight so I didn’t get to see the game, but I feel like we didn’t win that game a week ago they way we were playing. These are the ones that decide seasons that you have to win.
The Braves are 1-0 when I sleep in the back of my Subaru Forester in Teton National Park in a snowstorm mid-June. You are welcome.
Hope you don't have any plans until November 3rd
Now you’re making me want to go camping lol
Do it! My view right before I got dunked on, lmao https://preview.redd.it/aotnb0yo997d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb3e23d0d63973ee829db8cb4a88934835b156c3

I thru hiked the AT. Can confirm: it rains a lot haha

According to Tiger fans they are 2-12 when he pitches because the team gives him the Jacob Degrom treatment.
reese olson fucked the entire clubhouses wives or something. braves fan in tigers country with season tickets to the tigers. olson gets literally zero help every game, even when compared to a bad tigers offense. hes had a couple rough outtings recently, but the first 10 starts or so were absolutely fantastic. was a time when he had a sub-2 era and a w/l of like 1-6. dude deserves much better
Not gonna lie, we were sad that Max wasn’t perfect but holy crap when the stadium announced Uncle Jesse was coming in, there was a huge roar.
The cheers he gets are amazing. The only person who gets more cheers is Ronald, and even then Jesse's are more consistent on a per-appearance basis.
For those asking for a link to Jesse's interview: https://x.com/BravesOnBally/status/1802896184220008545
Thanks for sharing the link. After viewing Jesse’s replies to the reporters’ questions, his temperament would be great as a coach in the Braves organization.
That's my TIO!!
This was probably the most fun I’d had watching a full Braves game in quite some time. Obviously, this past weekend with all the scoring was really fun, but the super close low scoring game kept me on my toes!
Shoutout to the dude named Matt Olson who was wearing a Matt Olson jersey at the Delta 360 club. Your signed ball made my daughter’s day.
Anyone have a link for the Uncle Jesse post game interview?
So Forrest Wall in his first game up delivera a huge clutch hit to score one of our two runs tonight. Might be another big positive brewing with him getting the call up.

What does he think of what’s going on at Grayson stadium nowadays with the Bananas?
He came down a few years ago and my wife got some tickets from her work but it was a normal game so he didnt mind. I'm 40 and call me a boomer, I can't stand it.
sounds awesome
A soothing come from behind win by Braves against d Tigres
Is anyone actually watching the NBA finals? It feels like it’s had absolutely zero publicity this year and for good reason. Easily the worst championship of any major sport
I feel like they have 3 finals a year.
I feel like their finals last 3 months.
I absolutely cannot stand watching NBA basketball. Absolutely constant noise noise noise and that alone is enough to make me not want to watch. Same reason I can't stand when we play in LA, the PA there is unbearably obnoxious.
Im not into the nba neither but college hoops i can watch.
Easily the worst sport in the U.S besides golf or tennis lol. I just don't find it interesting at all. Baseball is the greatest game of all time and always will be especially when we get rid of the 70 year old umpires.
There’s been some great years for the Finals This is not one of them
The last one I remember being very invested in was Toronto which is forever ago now
Since Jesse is 40, we know he won’t be around forever. But I look forward to him coming back on Braves alumni days sometime in the future.
That man deserves an all star nod this year, if nothing else as a lifetime achievement award.
Everyone in the bullpen raves about him and man he’d be a dream Bullpen Coach I bet
During his interview the other week he sounded like he plans to coach in the future, but he said he doesn't want to do it until he feels like he can no longer contribute at an MLB level.
Did snit just have a full presser without saying ‘good’?!
Shout out to Phil Cuzzi for that absurd call to end the top of the 6th too. It’s nice to be on the receiving end of an awful call for a change.
Holy shit that was so bad lol
I love Jesse Chavez
Interesting comments from Jesse post game. Said something like the culture here doesn’t judge him for how he likes to prepare for games and that wasn’t the case anywhere else he’s played, so that’s why the results are how they are.
He watches the entirety of Lord of the Rings at full volume in the clubhouse before every game and nobody here tries to stop him
a truly cultured team
Where can one watch or hear this?
Ya I’ve heard him talk about it before and from what I’ve gathered our organization gives proven veterans the freedom to go about their routine in a way that works for them. They don’t waste their time & make them follow a certain structure that doesn’t work for them individually.
I wonder if this is his last year
[He said he'll keep playing as long as the Braves will have him](https://youtu.be/uSK8LfjDBVc?si=CySYeMuIO6RsoxpB&t=1604), so the ball is in AA's court
Do you have a link of where I can watch this?
Not sure if it’s uploaded anywhere, I watched it live
Ahh gotcha. Maybe YouTube will have it later. Cheers!

Don't worry they'll drop the next 3 as the 2024 Red Sox only know .500 ball

The weird part is that the wind based on the flag was blowing out and right field all game.
On the radio they mentioned an air stream or something blowing in from there that knocked it down
Manfred weather machine?
I blame the Twins
AA should pick up Reese Olson before they leave town lol.
Really? I heard he wasn't good because he's 1-8 /s
He’ll fit right in with the best worst team in baseball.
Anybody else think Duvall kinda looked like Goku after the base hit to score Riley?
Dude’s arms looked JACKED
Braves babies showing out in the bigs!! Way to go guys, great win to start the series. Go Braves!
Eagerly listening to the radio to see if they say anything about wall limping
Jesse for allstar game.
I heard we won, is it true?

Brandon seriously has such a quick wit to come up with that so fast, and it's so accurate
I still want to know what was up with that Kelenic at bat.
He was probably thinking slider or splitter coming inside.
Prob looking slider or just striaght up couldnt get a read on the ball
Batter's eye
…what?
I know what a batter’s eye is. It doesn’t change. If that was the problem he would be doing that every at bat and so would every other batter.
Some kind of lighting issue, especially with JK's height — shadows/angles can definitely change the batter's eye
That's so specific. Are you actually Jarred Kelenic?
I’m definitely feeling hype after that one! That’s the kind of game we haven’t won in some time. Offense wasn’t hitting with RISP for most of the game, but we got it done when we needed to! I'd have gone to Iggy there to show confidence in him, tbh
Think he's pitched two of the last three days and he'd warmed up in the one he didn't pitch.
Hell yeah Braves win! Also Colt Keith has a first name for a last name and last name for a first name.
Colt is a last name? I think it’s just a kind of horse.
Never heard of Samuel Colt?
I think he liked zigzagging a lot when he was 45 years old
At that age baby that's all you need
No
Pro wrestler Buddy Colt?
No
You know what a revolver is?
This team loses this game last week. They're back.

Idk why but it really does seem like Austin Riley is the linchpin of the team. If he's on, anything can happen.
Braves 3rd Baseman leading the team is a tale as old as time
Offense did not look good and we only scored 2, but luckily we're facing the Tigers and that's all we needed. Good team to face for Fried to not have his best stuff too.
**OZHAINO MOTHERFUCKING ALBIES**
Ozzie and Wall haters in shambles rn
I didn’t know Ozzie hated existed. He’s the best
There are no Ozzie haters that has to be completely made up nonsense
SnitBear provides once again. All praise SnitBear.
I need a SnitBear flair.
When we saw only one set of footprints, it was then that Snitbear carried us
Ok great win! But Forrest was slow to get up after stealing second, Laureano comes in for him, and in that shot of the high five line after the game he was really limping…. REALLY hope it’s nothing
Oh Jesus Christ
If it’s an injury, gonna need some sort of investigation on the field/dirt bc some weird bs is going on
Forrest Wall, Ray Kerr, and Zack Short are getting world series rings this year, just like we all expected
Was Wall limping at the end?
GET HYPED ON THIS MONDAY NIGHT!!
Really nice to see Wall get that hit to tie the game up. Felt like a turning point.
[удалено]
maybe their pitcher was actually good give him some credit.
Mind: no 1-run game win since April ~~24~~ 28. Heart: never in doubt, you fucking doomhead. ![gif](giphy|OqQvAbonGGzew) We dem kois!
It’s April 28, but that’s still an insane stretch
Good looking out. Taking that series from the guardians felt like we were just about to roll on the season. That following west coast trip really started a shit stretch.

Time to start a new streak?
Geez Olson 1-8 3.39 era. Georgia boy too. Crazy we didn't get him with all the pitchers we pick
2018 draft in the 13th round pick number 395.
Good win! Bats cooled back off but nice to see the unexpected lift from Wall and Ozzie puts us over the top!
LETS GOOOO
Wahl baby!
