They always *always* say that certain people’s behavior makes for good tv but would be totally unacceptable in real life—this podcast is for the audience and so even though something might be pretty despicable it doesn’t mean we don’t have fun watching it 👀 And the point is to celebrate the things that entertained us most, not to make moral judgments on them. As everyone else has said, it’s purely for fun. Maybe the “stars” shouldn’t be participating in all these podcasts and whatnot if they can’t accept the actual reality, which is that by being on these shows they basically become characters in soap operas to viewers. It may not be nice but that’s the nature of the thing. Also Ronnie & Ben are the best, and they are clearly good people so whatever, Heather, go tell it on the mountain or something because we don’t care!
I really think their success is based on situations like this and how they handle them. In 12 years they have never ever changed their behaviors or opinions based on any interaction or relationship to a Bravo person. Andy has had them on WWHL twice and they still destroy him on the show. They also always take reasonable criticism in stride and respond to it with respect and issue an apology if needed. Not doing this is the downfall of so many podcasters. I’m sure this is not always an easy thing to do, but they have been pretty consistent over many years. They really are a complete class act.
and they have been very clear about the fact that this show is NOT FOR THEM, and if they do listen they won’t be happy (remember how offended Erin Lichy was in their insta comments? good times) But Heather’s ego thinks that warning is for everyone but very special, funny, smart, cool housewives who are actually on the show because they are the voice of a generation. So it’s different for her.
I like how they grow and evolve with the times. (They will admit this in shows too.) Now they say “cut fitness” but have admitted they didn’t start out that way. They also have discussed their growth and learning what it is to be white men during reckonings like Me Too or Black Lives Matter and admit when they don’t know something. That is all I want — growth and respect.
And lots and lots of hilarious snark and voices when appropriate (which is 99% of episodes of these shows).
I realised during the Dorit and Garcelle situation that the reason I was far more aware for the build up of microaggressions against Garcelle was because the crpapens boys always made a point of pointing it out, no matter how “minor” the microaggressions was
I love that they’re appreciative to have a guest but will keep it real! Heather was at a Crappens live show and after introducing her, momentarily and rightfully so, roasted her UGT outfit that looked like an old dinner napkin while she was in the front row.
Ronnie's Dorit is why she can never leave BH for me. I can't go without that voice. And Ben's Dorit is funny, but whenever Ronnie does it, I am totally doubled over laughing.
My love of the Crappens experience is seeing a newb come on and hearing the boys transition from first learning the impression to nailing it in a few episodes. Like, I remember when SLC first started and they were doing these wild voices that didn't even match the ladies. Now, they are uncanny!

I’m honestly ready for it. As “stupid” as everyone thinks Whitney is, she definitely brings out the mean girl side of Heather that I believe is the very real side of her. Jen and her were besties for a reason. I don’t buy the whole “she was scared of her”. I think she admired Jen and her antics truthfully. Completely agree with you! She’s played the game well and she is extremely calculating. I read her face when Monica was talking about everything at the finale in Bermuda as “let me take notes and keep that in my back pocket”.

I listened to the book for free on Spotify! There’s quite a few celebrity memoirs on there if you’re so inclined. It might only be with premium though? I got kind of sick of podcasts so have been listening to audiobooks lately.
I think I returned it to the library when her dad got into a fight about his magical underwear being called out. So boring. And I love me a good memoir lol.

It’s great to see that the boys don’t back down and kiss ass just because they became friends with some of the HWs. They never backed off Rinna or Leanne when they become closer with them.
That's one of the things I truly love about them. They can have someone as a guest and up on stage with them, be totally nice and fun with them, and then continue to imitate them and bust on them in the next podcast. They are gems, there's no one like them!

I’m listening to her memoir right now and sanctimonious is the perfect way to describe her. I’m finding it hard to finish to be honest.
I couldn’t finish it, it was boring, sanctimonious AF and droned on and on about Mormonism but not the interesting parts
I wouldn't spend the money on the book when I can listen to multiple podcasts that discuss celebrity books, but I use the term 'celebrity ' very loosely in association with the new HWs. I heard all I needed to know about the book and her life.
I listened to the book for free on Spotify! There’s quite a few celebrity memoirs on there if you’re so inclined. It might only be with premium though? I got kind of sick of podcasts so have been listening to audiobooks lately.
I think I returned it to the library when her dad got into a fight about his magical underwear being called out. So boring. And I love me a good memoir lol.

It’s great to see that the boys don’t back down and kiss ass just because they became friends with some of the HWs. They never backed off Rinna or Leanne when they become closer with them.
That's one of the things I truly love about them. They can have someone as a guest and up on stage with them, be totally nice and fun with them, and then continue to imitate them and bust on them in the next podcast. They are gems, there's no one like them!

I was at the Crappies this past weekend. When Monica’s name for best newbie was announced, the audience went NUTS!!! It would have been inauthentic to WWC AND RHOSLC if the boys didn’t mention Monica. Just from the audience reaction alone, Ben and Ronnie knew they made the right call. I don’t hate Heather but she is so immature, petty, and vindictive. All things she hates about Monica are sadly also qualities in Heather.
