Nah that’s too much for him I think it’s balanced as is, rather him be balanced than op. A speed buff would be best so he can outrun an assassin and throw projectiles at them. I think the layered timing for Grom works in a way that makes him for fun and skillful to use

Fair or a reload speed buff and make Foot Patrol basekit (with like 10%)

I was thinking maybe have one of the gadgets be to shoot out a cross-styled (like his attacks) pushback attack.

Nah I agree the bush gadget is useless you don’t play Grom on bush maps and his bullets reveal a lot because of their size alone

It’s actually very valuable for your teammates imo mainly in knockout where Grom is most played. However I agree he’s kind of weak on bushy maps rn. Maybe usable if you have a good team that can counter aggression and protect you.

I can totally understand. It's sad that I find him the most fun out of all the characters.Recently I tried barely and that slow gadget feels so good after not having any slowing/counter abilitys with grom

Remember how he used to counter any type of agression on release 💀 he was broken as hell but i deleted the game a few days after getting him from the challenge. But i think he still does decent damage to agression

Just try to damage assassins when they approach is the only way. Gadget and super can help against Mico. You have to hope that your team can finish him so the situation continue 2v2.

Yeah gotta love it when your taking your time aiming shots and controlling your opponents and getting some kills then Timothy “Edgar” Williams jumps in and mashes the auto aim button with the speed of the flash, Usain Bolt, and sonic the hedgehog combined and you use your gadget (assuming you use sticky syrup mixer) and throw your bottles of uranium 235 to no avail. Sometimes they die but sometimes they live because who tf thought that Edgar should heal on hit TL;DR: Edgar takes no skill and I hate it

Rely on teammates for help. In both of your screenshots your comps are really bad against assassins; Grom, L&L, and Mr P. have 0 tools against them, and Piper and Kit are limited against them. Grom himself cannot do anything so it's important to have teammates who can. This is a comp issue

Thanks, in ranked I have way better experience since i can see my teammates character choice and even bann so it's not complete rng, but for now I feel like I have to give up pushing his trophies further with randoms

Dw man I feel ur pain. I love grom and think he is so fun to use because he can dominate if lucky but that's the thing. He's so bad that u have to be lucky to even do good. The problem is grom probably won't get buffed or nerfed for the foreseeable future. Supercell thinks that giving Piper and Angelo is more important than giving useless brawlers chances.

I guess it's one of those matchups that are unwinnable. Your only chance to thrive is avoid the matchups altogether and pray your teammates take them out.

I got R30 Grom and I found that the only way to push him is to have a brawler such as like a Cordelius with mute gadget or like a Fang that can shut down the assassins that bullied me in knockout and always stay by me "protecting" me while I fight the other team

try getting a team, I'll give you that, Unfortunately I don't think it's nearly possible to counter assassins with grom, Not even the most skilled players could, Biggest factor that plays a role in the more competitive matches is picks.

Mico is just a stupid brawler. He completely counters every thrower. There is literally nothing you can do. You have to ban him or hope you don’t face him. Grom is also just really weak to assassins. Weaker than any other thrower.

I felt like it's extremely difficult to do it in practice. I basically have to see the future because my ult will take a few sec to land and if I don't bait the Edgar jump so there will be a few tiles of distance between us when the jump lands I just can't react. But ofc an Edgar is far from the worse, in other matchups like kit,lily and Miko I need to only rely on my teammates and because I play with randoms it's unreliable

Lily is impossible lol. Kit you have to, yeah in essence "see the future" the moment he jumps you throw the super and hope you're in view of your teammates and they can help. But you have to try your best to stay out of range as much as being squishy as the game mode allows. Also keep the gadgets that shoots 3 for an instant kill. But for the most part, as is with all throwers you have to anticipate everything they do. Throwers are the hardest to master unless you're using Lorie and Lawrie😂😂

if u arent last pick to avoid picking grom, you literally dont, lol and on the 2nd pic you fucked up by picking grom, either Kit was first pick and then edgar & lily, if so you shouldnt be picking grom at all, 2nd option would b they picked edgar first and you still went for grom lol. TLDR: Dont force a brawler into a match if you know you are getting countered really bad.

I've been playing only grom today to get his mastery and you just cant which is why he's such a bad brawler. Also second sp got secretly changed and now it rarely even works which makes him even worse than before.

It’s a lot easier if you can get a good Charlie or Cord on your team so they can defend you with their Ultimate abilities and you have time to reposition, heal, reload, plan your next attack, etc. I am a big fan of Grom, I know he’s not good rn but I love playing him because he feels so unique compared to the other throwers. I love the way you have to plan your attacks to actually hit someone if they know how to dodge

You simply dont. The only assasin you can kill easily is Edgar: When he jumps, instantly throw your super on youself with one or two attacks.

You quite literally don't and aren't supposed to, you're a thrower, assassins win the rock-paper-scissors match and Grom in particularly trades greater damage and effective range for any chance to fight back aggresion that other throwers have. Your best bet is to play carefully and stay close to your teammates

As a Grom main with r30 Grom i can confidently say that you just dont. Its the main weakness of Grom. Your best chance is to dominate the teammates of the assasins as much as possible so your teammates can kill the assasin or that the assasins just isnt able to impact the game enough. Best I can do is 1 for 1 with a gadget/super 

Look in both the matches, your comp was 100% counterable with an assassin's so get teammates amd then play so atleast one can handle assasins

Hello! Grom main here with gold 3 mastery. The biggest thing is keeping your distance and using attacks to make sure they don't advance unless they want to take about 2000 damage. Personally, I also target his biggest counters, with Edgar and Mico being the worst in my experience. Personally, I use his x factor star power and radio check gadget for that extra damage and area denial. Tldr; try to keep a large distance between you and any jump assassins and target the ones that you think are going to give you the most issues.

I understand but when the weakness is so big that I have no option against an extremely big portion of the character roaster it gets a bit uncomfortable. Outside grom every thrower has an option against assasins or aggressive brawlers, like barely slow gadget, willow dive, Dina stun..... But still in the perfect scenarios grom can be a beast with the long range and high damage
