From personal experience (and looking it up to confirm), it's 30 seconds before and 30 seconds after the cutscene where the blood moon criticals are in effect.

IIRC crits pick a random category to boost. Looks like one of them got the healing upgrade, and the other got its endurance boosted.

Blood moon guarantees criticals while cooking
