The base map was made by importing a height map of botw into World Painter, so all of the terrain was done. obviously though it had no details, so im going through and adding in all the ruins, camps, trees, everything. im using world edit to help with the building process
ok well not every tree is exactly accurate lol. I structure the forests in the same way as botw, like where paths are and what the forest shape is. only unique trees get placed accurately. Like if theres a lone tree atop a hill, if its involved with a quest or something, if its atop a big rock in the middle of a clearing, then ill make sure theyre placed right
the domain took like a month and somewhere between 30 - 50 hours, ruta was only like 10 - 15. the whole project so far has taken close to 300 hours when you add in editing and footage rendering
