Brig isn't simple dude, maybe this is an attitude of some metal ranks but I really don't get how anyone would think that. Her kit has so many situational/creative use cases that you need to be constantly talking advantage of, while micromanaging all your team, your shield and yourself and the enemy flankers while the only escape you have is a medium cool down, burst mobility ability and a shield which does nothing unless you are positioned perfectly at all times.
As someone who recently started playing Brig after years of not getting her, I 100% agree that she is not as simple as she looks. Since the mirrorwatch event, I started playing her more. She looks simple, but I have always been so confused how to play her. It is difficult to figure out when to shield versus when to run away and bash. I still don't really understand when/how to use her ult properly.
GOD I forgot about rally. Yeah in addition to all that she has an ult which is incredibly difficult to use but ironically very flexible. The use cases for rally are endless, but unless you have a very clear plan for what you want it to do and perfect timing, it can do absolutely nothing valuable as it is inherently defensive and enemies can easily play around it given they respect brig's space for the duration of the ult. Examples:
- did a big anti fall on your team? Just rally, flankers will not dare get close, you will give them overheal, they will not follow up on the big anti. You have to be fast though.
- is enemy jq peaking a choke or corner holding an objective with the threat of rampage? Press rally, DO NOT BASH and tell your team to melt jq. You can take part in that as well, cautiously. Even if she doesn't rampage (the correct play) rally still removed any threat jq was holding and overhealed everyone.
- there is a cool combo you can do where DVA bomb explodes, breaks your shield, you rally to get it back and stun mech call. Always worth using rally to do this if it's possible.
- did you get grav'd and enemies don't have dragon, blade or barrage? Rally it you will be fine and everyone is saved.
I can honestly go on for ages but using rally needs awareness and game sense, and is very situational. The overheal is good regardless, but if you can make it do something extra that's when you are using it correctly.
Simple isn’t negative it’s like rein is simple Winston is too but the way you can apply their kits is creative and the plays you can make can be very smart
Tbh it’s a little weird determining your respect for players based on their main. Playing every hero effectively requires a certain mindset and skill set. I respect you if I can tell you’re playing to win and don’t respect you if I can tell you’re on autopilot. Simple as
But I will agree with your sombra placement
I would put her there just for PTSD of OW1 and release brig, but as she's been in OW2 I kinda just solo shatter hero and get pissed I missed the other support
Brig is weird, she's high and low skill ceilling at the same time. She's easy to get value but hard to truly understand, she's very counterintuitive – playing afar behind covers the hero who has a fucking mace and shield.
hmmm maybe you’re just playing with bad lw? i dapple in some ana and a good lw makes a world of difference as he can kinda make up for her lack of mobility a lot of the time. maybe i’ve just gotten lucky but…
I think Ana with a team that peels more effective than weaver can be her output is higher nade has more impact and general use cases than pull and sleep is a death sentence + nano has more potential than tree although tree is pretty good
I started playing support because the queue times for rank and dps were too long, I played Bap and Kiriko. I moved to Brig when I realised how bad my aim was. I stuck with brig because imo she’s the most fun to play and if I play her right it’s a game changer. I love that she has the capabilities to be a mini tank of sorts if needed and her healing mechanics are awesome
True. But based on comments respect was based on his difficult the hero is to play. Why does Doom get respect, as he's arguably the easier of the two (not easy, just easier than Ball).
Just trying to make sense of your criteria.
If you go to the post on my profile I specified how you get respect and lose it if your main is easy and annoying or scumy you get less respect if your design is cool the character is difficult and if they are helpful you get more respect ball is a goofy design and very hard but the more skilled you are the more annoying he is it’s a exponential growth graph of assness
I think OW is full of goofy things. A 3 foot tall hamster piloting a spherical mech is certainly goofy. But it's just as goofy as being a medieval knight fighting an enemy using lasers and ships.
If you're taking points away from Ball for being goofy, then Rein loses those points as well (maybe even more so because it's a poor strategy to fight an advanced enemy using medieval weaponry).
Your preferences are fine, I can't fault you for them. I'm just saying, don't pretend there was any criteria involved in making this list. It's completely arbitrary (as preferences often are).
Armor is cooler than hamsters + balls are annoying and generally less team oriented than reins+ with how hard it is to make rein work outside of metal ranks makes rein shoot to the top I’m just a ball hater tho

Simple kit but hard to apply effectively.
Yea that’s what I put under the post
Just accept your main is bad
Apology not accepted
Why tho -apology still stands I just want to know
Roadhoag vital organs would be a bit fatty
Donate them to the potluck! 🤤
As a wifeleaver main I don’t want to kick rocks
Don’t pull me I’m cooking 🫵😡
You can’t cook when your dead
Just have faith in me I wanna give your fine Thai ass the win too
Fair. A good chunk of my pulls are accidental pulls of the wrong person cuz there’s no confirmation like Ana ult
I agreed with what you said in my first reply and I got downvoted I don’t get it
They need to add that it would make life way better
my favorite thing to do with tireless is look at the titiles of the best and worst tiers, it’s always funny
Brig mains love Ball and Sombra players what are you on about lol
Swipe right it’s a apology for my post on the game subreddit 80 days ago
Eh life is short. I’ll give you a pass.
Least bloodthirsty Brig.

That was kinda part of why I placed her there initially
This tier maker is just all over the place for me
Brig is weird, she's high and low skill ceilling at the same time. She's easy to get value but hard to truly understand, she's very counterintuitive – playing afar behind covers the hero who has a fucking mace and shield.
why lifeweaver???
I hate chasing him and he thrashes me around with pull(Ana solos)
hmmm maybe you’re just playing with bad lw? i dapple in some ana and a good lw makes a world of difference as he can kinda make up for her lack of mobility a lot of the time. maybe i’ve just gotten lucky but…

agreed tho he’s so slimy lmao. slips out of my fingers all the time
Damn all three of my mains in the bottom three Rip
Playing brig in overwatch feels like i'm playing dark souls which I kinda love.
Oi tell me now... who is ur main
They are bunched together for each role in the 100% tier
I started playing support because the queue times for rank and dps were too long, I played Bap and Kiriko. I moved to Brig when I realised how bad my aim was. I stuck with brig because imo she’s the most fun to play and if I play her right it’s a game changer. Move moira to "donate your vital organs" and i completely agree
Yea I accidently had her out there in the initial post I said this too she was supposed to be between hog and sombra
How does not Respect Brig, Hammond or Sig??
Ball pisses me off so it counteracts respect and they tend to be the most consistent anchor pick of the tank role
How do you not respect Ballers? Ball is the hardest hero in the game to learn and master.
He’s annoying dude bounces me around just to roll away
True. But based on comments respect was based on his difficult the hero is to play. Why does Doom get respect, as he's arguably the easier of the two (not easy, just easier than Ball). Just trying to make sense of your criteria.

>ball is a goofy design Goofier than an oversized man in medieval armor and using medieval weaponry in an era where lasers exist?
That goes hard it’s not about how it looks it’s how you wear it, you know?
So it's entirely arbitrary, no real measuring rod being used here. Got it.
So you think rein is goofy compared to ball-or the other way around?
I think OW is full of goofy things. A 3 foot tall hamster piloting a spherical mech is certainly goofy. But it's just as goofy as being a medieval knight fighting an enemy using lasers and ships. Just as goofy as the 3 foot hamster 🤷🏾♂️ ig
It was just subjective bro
But even subjective things have criteria on which it is judged. This is just random assignment, pretty much.
Armor is cooler than hamsters + balls are annoying and generally less team oriented than reins+ with how hard it is to make rein work outside of metal ranks makes rein shoot to the top I’m just a ball hater tho
Rein glazing
Hell yea
I ordered the tier list left to right as higher to lower within a tier so the closer to the stated rank the higher within the rank that character was
YALL CAN SWIPE RIGHT I REPONDED TO A CONCERNED BRIG IN THE POST EARLIER TODAY THE ORIGINAL WAS LIKE 3 MONTHS AGO golly
I should have flipped the order of pictures to the tierlist being second and my response to the brig calling me out first
Reaper is far from simple.
Honestly reaper is hard to get value out of, it’s like Hanzo/junkrat right now, just overall bad heros
Most braindead easy hero after moira
Would you say Winston is braindead
