It's not the end of the world. It's easier to murder and get away with it, than to crack JEE. Now just focus on your board exams and CET, since that will now decide where you go. We all once felt lost because of our JEE rank. Trust me, you're better off getting a good college through CET. Source: My JEE rank was 56k (80.3 percentile) and Karnataka-CET rank was 47k, back in 2022 Edit: My Jee rank was actually 1.80 lakh🥹

NeedHelp__-

56k rank and 80.3 percentile 🧐

galaxygamerman

Trust me, even I was shocked💀

NeedHelp__-

You might be talking about your obc/ews rank not crl

galaxygamerman

Oh god, you're actually right. 56k was my obc-ncl rank. The clr was 1.8 lakh💀

noob_coder696969

bhai 56k at 80.3 percentile ? are you sure you aren't missing one zero here ?

galaxygamerman

2022 was a wild ass batch💀 I was genuinely surprised that I even got under 1 lakh rank

noob_coder696969

abe lekin 80.3 thodi hoga . 90.3 hoga na ? cutoff kya tha 2022 me ? mera 95 percentile pe 53k bana tha 2020 vali me 💀

galaxygamerman

Yup, you're [right](https://www.reddit.com/r/Btechtards/s/9pF6T2yLve)

noob_coder696969

ah phir sahi hai

Initial_Bid_9631

What's CET?

galaxygamerman

Common Entrance Test Basically State Level ka JEE, except you have wayyy more choices in terms of the colleges you can take admission into with your rank in it. Not every state has it

Ill_Flatworm8516

I went through this in my first attempt too. Got 89 percentile and felt like shit. It was the covid year, I went for a drop and again fell into the cycle of procrastination after studying for 2 months. Somehow managed to score 96 percentile. My parents were disappointed. I wasted 2 lakhs in coaching fiitjee. Even though my father wanted me to go for IIITs or private colleges, I chose state govt college CSE. Now I'm fighting for another race in getting a software job. Bro what you can do right now is, be sincere in what ever you do from now. Forget the past and work for the future. That's all you can do. And remember boards is a cakewalk. Just do sample papers and shit. It will be an easy paper. Just focus on getting a good college now

bhushan205

almost same story here apart from coaching part.which college are u in bro?

Ill_Flatworm8516

Tier 3 state govt college.

R3tard69420

Year ?

Ill_Flatworm8516

3rd

imjerusalem

don't stress man, not the right age, yes you did mistakes but you can always push up later on, just have clarity what you wanna do and pursue it no matter the situation.

62Xe

says the person who is in govt institute what a hipocrit

imjerusalem

I'm telling him to take less stress, I've been thro that phase and the stress sucks. Yes being at IISER is very good and like a dream but not being there dosent mean end of life.

Intelligent_Ice_0059

Your msg was solid, nothing wrong. Don't explain yourself to anyone.

62Xe

i am a bit angry because it was my dream too which is now unachiveable every year when jee results are out i remember the time seeing my advanced score and i was shattered dreams hopes its hard you know i never wanted iit i wanted to do research i am sorry if my words upset you but remember i saw my dreams shattered in front of me

imjerusalem

It's fine, no hard feelings brother, if your aim is still research, pursue it no matter what, if not undergrad, do Yr masters here at IISER , if not masters then PhD..JUST DONT STOPP

62Xe

yes i am preparing for some scolerships exams for research in japan germany well lets see what happen

imjerusalem

All the best buddy.

confused_cat44

Bro, I got 84 percentile in jee 2023, and mind you I was always a topper, I had very high marks in 10th, but I fucked up my jee, gave state cet and got admission in a decent college. A few of my friends who were also the topper type but didn't manage to score in jee, got into similar colleges, and guess what, nobody even thinks about it right now, life isn't all about jee.

Mother_Breadfruit107

How did you get foreign offers ? Did you have referrals ? And does age matter ? Like I had a gap year so by the time I will graduate my age will be 24 . Please reply man.

[deleted]

Mother_Breadfruit107

Nope I am asking How did you approach Amazon Dublin ? Like directly applied to their career page ?

[deleted]

Mother_Breadfruit107

So is referral necessary? Do they consider people from tier 3 colleges in India without a referral?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Mother_Breadfruit107

Okay Thanks

Mother_Breadfruit107

Hey The remote job you got for 12 LPA was that through referral too ? And How hard is it for a tier 3 graduate to get into FAANGMULA right after college ?like the first placement?

Gaurav_13

My friend scored 90.2 in first attempt Managed to score 96 in second Went to a GFTI Got placed this year at 20lpa+ Another friend scored 99+ Qualified advanced Went to IIT Unplaced till now It is all about your choices and your attitude

Mother_Breadfruit107

Your iitian friend didn't get CSE right ?

Gaurav_13

The other friend isn’t in CSE either Both mechanical

Mother_Breadfruit107

Aacha great tho I have a question I had a gap year and by the time I graduate I will be 24(age) will that matter ? I have internships at MasterCard+other companies (2) so does age matter if you are good at coding ?

Fit-Bus377

No age surely doesn't matter , it's all about your skill set , experience..

Gaurav_13

No it doesn’t matter as long as you are able to justify

_SlutMaker

Us bhai , dropper too mereko to 67 are 29s2🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡 Literal clown momint idk what will happen on 12th , ab to man bhi nhi krra bc kuch krne ka idk what to do now

batouttahell1983

I'm a silent lurker on this sub because for whatever reason it was suggested to me, so here I am. A few things about me: 1. I'm 40 years old and a father of 2 2. In my entire life I never scored beyond 85% 3. 10th 73, 12th 65 I will NEVER pressurize my kids to feel shitty about 91 and 89. Because that is INSANE! OP, listen to me: you haven't scored 91 because of the education you got, you got 91 IN SPITE OF IT. The Indian education system, for want of a better word, is pathetic, for one reason. It focuses on rote learning and not on concept application. I didn't know until I reached my masters that integration and differentiation are just complex multiplication and division at a certain point in time. And I still don't know what limits are for. My point is, the fact that you understand enough maths and physics to score 91 in this not at all easy exam for Indian education system students shows that you are intelligent enough that if someone explained the concepts to you in an applicable and easy to remember way, you would score way more. Don't be too hard yourself, OP. You got enough brains to do well, even if you don't get an IIT. So good luck and godspeed!

Chaitanya69420

i know ppl who got less than 70 in first attempt and 95 in second, you can do it man

Distinct-Step-524

Are you mentallly ill or something, youre easily going to get good percentile enought to get private, guilt will only make matters worse, if you dont belive in yourself noone else will

Alarmed_Double_665

I am not suprised with his way of thinking. It is very common in our country during the jee months. The pressure is real.

Distinct-Step-524

This type of victim negative attitude ruins life, it is also extremely contaigous, I got infeceted by it multiple times by my ex litterally ruined my life social media makes it way worse, it just sucks that I was able to get brain washed I thought I was resseliant enough, ALWAYS ALWAYS kick negative people out of your live no matter how close they are not matter who they are talkking with them will 100% ruin your life

paajitalks

Don't worry bro. From someone who was in the same situation (the minor difference being that I was good at math but shit in chem) it's not as bad as you think. Just start now and keep working hard. Take a drop year if need be. My parents were super supportive when I told them that I stopped studying after 11th basically. Right now even I made IIITs without a drop year (COVID batch so we had like 4 JEEs). You can crack it too. Just start now and start hrs, and don't stop. Best of luck 👍🏻

Relative-Tale7460

I had 59 percentile in JEE. There was only one attempt during my time. I studied hard like there was no tomorrow and secured a 3 digit rank in my state entrance exam and got into a top state level college. Slogged my ass off during 3rd and 4th year and got one of the highest packages of my batch (7 figures). Take life as it comes and focus on one thing at a time, there's no use in regretting the past. Just focus on whatever is ahead and give it your best. Good luck on your journey!

No_Iron_8706

u are better than where i was last year,i had 74 in first attempt and genuinely thought that jee was not for me ,but decided to give a last attempt with my full potential and scored 97 in second attempt theres no such thing as second attempt mein you cant score if u dont score in first attempt, anything is possible just believe in yourself and continue studying just dont give up just dont stop

God_Sharan

Could u give some tips on how u achieved 97 percentile

No_Iron_8706

[take a look at my post in jeeneetards](https://www.reddit.com/r/JEENEETards/s/L8gHGHn7KI)

NoOutlandishness5689

Bro are you stupid 😭. You have your while life in front of you. only if you could ljve a day of some kid in those war torn countries you will realise how foolish you are.

[deleted]

Don't stress it. If your parents are willing to give you a drop year, just try harder this year. If not, ace your state's CET and aim for the top colleges there. It's not the end of the world. Coming from a 93%ile guy here.

[deleted]

Bhai tere paas 3 attempt aur hain abhi( ek april wala aur 2 next year) ab tu in attempts me kuch karne ka try karta hai ya aise guilt me baith ke inko bhi barbaad karta hai wo tera decision hai. Aur rahi baat boards ki to chup chaap yt se har chapter ka 1 shot dekh aur question bank solve kar 75% aaram se aa jaenge. Tu akela nahi hai bhai jiska jee kharab gaya hai.

[deleted]

Aur parents ko sach bata de ki mere itne marks ban rahe hain aur mai ye feel kar raha hu wo samajh jaenge. Meri 1st attempt me achhi prep nahi thi mocks me 130-140 marks aa rahe the last me kyuki maine bhi last ke 3-4 months barbaad kiye the to meri organic aur inorganic poori khatam thi( ek chapter bhi nahi aata tha organic ka) but maine apni mummy ko bata diya tha ki meri prep achhi nahi hai to unhone kaha tha zyada stress mat lo agle attempt me achha kar lena. Parents hi hain bhai jo support karenge tujhe iss samay isliye unse baat kar

Similar_Green_5838

Bro you got 91 in jee. Boards will be a piece of cake. You only need to solve the questions in the textbook for PCM. That is more than sufficient to score 85+ in boards. Do not go for reference books at this stage.

Artoodeetwo_1

I'm a parent, an Indian parent, so let me tell you this. You don't owe your parents success. You don't owe them anything. In fact, they owe you a life, thus what they did (work hard, sacrifice, etc), is the basic minimum a parent is supposed to do. If you put too much pressure on yourself, you are setting yourself up to fail. Ultimately, it's you who has to define what success will mean to you, what happiness will mean to you. Making your parents happy is a sappy sentimental feel, I get it, but that shouldn't be your life's goal. All of us who are in a good place today aren't toppers. There's still a lot in life to achieve, and if you are fixated on pleasing your parents, I'm sorry to say, you aren't going to get far ahead with that mindset. Live your life. If your parents' love is as unconditional as they make you think it is, they'll want you to live your life your way too.

[deleted]

I feel like parents should never discuss things like "I have done this many sacrifices and hard work for you to get a better education", this creates unnecessary pressure on kids.

hk9_1

Bro end tak fight kar....your condition is much better than mine when i was prepping for jee, baaki exams bhi hai unka padh le ab aur end tak kabhi bhi giveup nahi karna. (i still regret that decison rn)

Hades_24

Don't stress Bhai, 2nd attempt hai you'll do well and they are your parents they will always want the best for you. 60 marks Pai kirni % banegi

JHATUUFOREVER

Relax Bhai koi na drop mat Lena bas

No-Antelope4943

still u can , don't lose hope , study with interest and not in pressure ( most difficult part ) just solve every PYQ or see its answer, thats it

New_Mathematician_54

Bhai kuchh naa hua toh cuet dekar du mein admission le le

dsonigladiator

Bro let me tell you one thing. If IIT is what you want, you have better odds at getting into an IIT via GATE for MTech or if you're too academic you could try for PhD. Don't repeat a year or drop a year for a better score. Life doesn't wait for you. If one door seems to be shut, try the next best door. Don't stop, just focus on what you want to become rather than what piece of paper called a "degree" you'd have

[deleted]

Don't worry bhai don't let boards sink too. For jee you have April attempt. I didn't even match the response sheet because I already know im not gonna get anymore tha 60-70 marks so you're not alone.

Ok-Unit-3820

Bhai mujhe mere first JEE main 13 marks aaye the. 19 percentile. I didn't sleep that night because I failed my parents. Neither did they sleep and were visibly upset. They spent a lot of hard earned money on my preparation to no avail. But that period of my life helped me grow and shaped me into what I am today and I'm proud of it man. I never had success in JEE despite a drop year. Fucked up my state entrance too but I'm graduating with a 3.9 cgpa and I'm damn happy with the efforts I've put in my undergraduate life journey, not just academically but socially and as a person.

Berozgaar-123

What are you doing as of now? Have you taken admission in a foreign University?

Ok-Unit-3820

Going for Masters in EECS

[deleted]

This culture needs to change, no I'm not trying to blame your parents or anyone. But feeling this guilty when we don't able to perform well, fail sometime we feel like it's end of world, we shouldn't face our parents they have sacrificed everything and if I'm not passing the exam I'm shit etc. I have been there, maybe still there. But since I have started asking myself if I ever become parent, do I constantly tell my kid to be topper otherwise you are waste, see how much we have sacrificed for you. And you are not even studying. No never, I don't think your parents think you are failure, well some parents are who made this criteria that you should perform well only then we will approve you. Idk if that's the case or you are feeling by yourself only. It's okay man, it's okay you aren't dead, once you enter college this jee will feel nothing to you. But of course it doesn't mean you should become lazy and watch Netflix no it didn't mean that, what I'm saying it's okay to fail sometime, you aren't a failure

Terrible-Remove-6195

just focus on your boards. boards can get you into pretty good colleges so try to prepare for them properly. also iss bahane jee mains phy and chem bhi prepare ho jaega to some extent.

Reply_Account_

You can either choose to take a drop or join a tier 69 college like me. I had exact same situation as you last year. I didn't even join any coaching not sure how I got it lol. But yeah I left my coaching due to immense pressure from studies which I couldn't handle. So if you think you can go one more time then after jee second attempt try to study with full focus for 12 hours straight for 1 week. When I am talking about studying I am talking about serious studying. Then you can get a very good college in drop year. Otherwise don't take a drop. One thing is life is a race and it has just started. A lot, a lot is left to cover like this is about 17-19 percent covered for you. Never give up but have a proper plan and just stick to it. All the best Edit : a good plan is something which can be changed in future cause nothing works forever. It needs constant change. But that is after reaching daily tasks.

anothwitter

Develop interest in the subject. If your goal is to pass an exam, its the wrong mindset. Some people think its uncool or whatever. F them. Seriously! Be curious about how things work and enjoy that. Do sports, music also. F those who say otherwise. Seriously! Its your life.

Hot_Buy_6746

Try to get into the best college that you can. I have friends who got 60% in mains but have a cgpa of 9.5 and I also have friends who got 98% in mains but have a cgpa of 7. Granted, I'm in a tier2 private college where you can pay more fee to get a seat, I wanted to convey that people change after coming to college. This change maybe for the better or for the worse. Just keep trying and don't give up.

Im_Mr_Satan

Fricking hell kid I got 43 percentile in my first attempt and 68 in my second (2020 batch). Got into a decent engineering clg and now I'm doing my internship. I had the same thinking of failing everyone around me and it got me nowhere. I missed the opportunity to socialize and make good friends in my first/second years of clg and all the students in my city met and have a really good group now. Don't think that it's the end of life and stuff. You still got another attempt so just don't worry about it man. 91 isn't bad dude come on. If not IITs there are other good colleges as well and besides you can skill up yourself in the 4 years of your college and get a good job. Edit: your thinking is messed up and if you don't change it, it'll slowly start destroying you from the inside. I've been there and I destroyed myself by thinking I don't deserve anything. Trust me you don't want to think and be like this. Be better. Exams may come and go but don't lose yourself.

[deleted]

Yes you are useless

Much-Ad-8240

Brother you fucked up. Once the discipline breaks it never comes back

Perpetual_Wanker17

instead this is just the start of his entrance exam journey, you're the one who's terribly wrong

Tension na le bhai. AMUEEE ka bhar de. ZHCET college mein admission le le. 32nd rank hai NIRF Engg Colleges ki list mein. 4 saal stress free reh.

Glittering-Trifle571

Just do what u can do till your exams, you will be good. U don't have to get what you want, but you'll be able to forgive yourself and be satisfied that at least you tried.

Impressive-Spread688

see kid,,, just speaking from experience,, ace the cet exam, assuming that you’re from maharashtra,, you’ll get yourself a seat in some good colleges, explore your engg life, your next goal should be to network and find the niche for yourself, you’ll do better, trust me.

Alarmed_Double_665

Thank you for the honest answer

Fit-Bus377

What did he answer that he had to delete it?

Alarmed_Double_665

bruh, why'd it get deleted? He gave a good, normal answer. He said he started asking doubts to teachers instead of keeping mum, limited internet exposure to only WhatsApp, gave the weekly tests sincerely instead of copying and changes like this helped him get a better score. There was nothing in that reply that needed to be deleted.

Fit-Bus377

Yeah like other than YouTube and WhatsApp, there's no other useful social media anyways

SCARRED_69

don't worry and think too much about this. just focus on ur second attempt. I screwed up really bad in my first attempt as well but got CSE in an NIT with my second attempt. work hard and focus on ur goals and u can easily score high marks.

[deleted]

abey toh fail kya hota bhai koi dikkt ni h plan A kaam ni kia na bs koi dikkt ni h plan B karega na bs sorted... aaram kr bro pls pressure mt le

starneuron

I do not know you. I am not judging you. Spending money and whatever is best, is Parents responsibility. Period. Children should be focusing on their studies and try to do good. Children shouldn't be the one worrying about how parents are managing that. However, always talk to your parents. You writing in reddit, shows you aren't talking to your parents enough. Go talk to them and discuss/consult with them. If you are worried about results, and any other things in life, talk openly to your parent. (If your parents are working hard, and spending it to give you good education, it means they really love and care about you)

pretentiousacademicu

Hey, i gave JEE last year and got 98%ile. Currently, I'm in igdtuw cse-ai. It's a gov college in Delhi. So, in the first attempt I scored around 95.6%ile something. One of my friends, he was got just 91%ile and he was depressed af like you and it makes sense too. He met with an accident two months prior the exam so yeah he was too heartbroken. But but but he used the 2 months and worked hard enough, did pyqs and did from basic, he used to study diligently and at the end he got 98.5%ile and also, nonetheless, he started working hard for advanced and with that dedication he got some 2k rank in advanced and now in IITD mech. All i wanna say is that don't lose hope, please. Life is much more than an exam and please take care. Buckle up and stay motivated, you've got one more chance and so many exams too. Hope you'll feel light.❤️

Naenathasolla

OP: Let me tell you this, I’m 28 years old currently settled in the US working for Amazon making close to $200,000 a year and I’ll be moving to another e-commerce company as a director starting next month and will be making even more. I swear to god, I did not even know what IIT was until after I finished 12th grade. I scored 75% in Tamil Nadu state board, with 59% in mathematics. I was adamant to go to VIT so I wrote the entrance and somehow got in. Thanks to my dad for paying extra tuition for his then failure son. With my 12th scores, I wouldn’t have even been able to touch IITs entrance gates. Yet, here I am, I work alongside people who graduated out of Stanford and IITs. My friend, trust me when I say this. These scores doesn’t define anything in life, all of this number shaming is only for your parents and to them boasting among their circle. 10 years from now, when you have nice paying job and are planning for a nice life ahead, your parents wouldn’t remember any of your scores. So please don’t take yourself as a failure. Life has more than just these scores. Be honest to yourself and always be ready to learn. I’m sure you will go way ahead in life. Good luck

Fit-Bus377

How did you get a 200k job with only a bachelor's degree?

Naenathasolla

I have a master’s degree as well.

Fit-Bus377

Ohh nice, from where did you do your masters? Was it MTECH OR MBA?

[deleted]

It's not at all bad for a start dude.... Still have April attempt and you can always take a drop....

Crafty-Scientist-697

Don't worry bro, aim for the second attempt and start your works from now on and avoid those bad things and especially BAD FRIENDS

Inevitable_Brain9585

Exact same has happened to my brother... 29th Jan shift 1 86 marks according to NTA Answer key... Don't think you're a failure dude... There's nothing wrong in scoring less.... I've seen him study, I've seen him solving questions, he does everything well, but he just makes hell lot of silly mistakes in mocks and tests... That's where he went wrong in this attempt, -18!... Again not his fault, I and my family are still supporting him... Trust me give boards and 2nd attempt a best try, hope you'll do well in that... And remember it's not the end of the world... And your parents never see you as failure just due to an exam... There are plenty of options. Chill.

60sss

ye tobilkul same condition mere he abhi first attempt fuk ho gaya abb boards ka bhe darrlagg ra yadi koi sa bhe exam nahi hua to kya hoga ye soch ke dimag kharab hoo ra we are in same situation

Quirky-Yesterday7514

I'll get like 40-50 marks, I don't feel shit. Just prepare for boards, then try ur best next attempt else try for bits or vit, etc. And even if u don't get IIT or NIT, life doesn't end and you still have a chance after college. So chill out, get studying.
