Yes that screen is a great addition...but yeah..software is fine but VIA is really needed but for around 55 it is great value for what you get compared to gaming brands
I'm more interested in the fact that you can get rid of the screen. :)
I've gotten VIA keyboards for under $40. I think by this time the lack of VIA or VIAL support should be a deal killer.
And, well, better value than gaming brands is faint praise. :)
Inland MK-47 on Microcenter and the "Mini Panda" on Amazon which is going for $30 - about the same as a comparable hotswap QMK motherboard by itself on Ali Express so I'm pretty sure they're losing money on that one. The PCB is a Y&R Nz64.
VIA is without a doubt the best software for mechanical keyboards that I have tried. However the proprietary software like the Ajazz Driver still let's you do everything..but it is just a bit more clunky.
So between the two which would be a good deal? since the only factor why I'm conflicted by the two is that I see the gmk87 a bit more sleek and the via of course, other than that nothing beats for the PRICE ajazz.
It really depends on your preference. Do you feel that the software will be a major limitation for you? If you want a solid nice sound out of the box the Ajazz is great but if you want VIA then the choice at the super budget end is still quite limited.
Mine seems to be dead out of box. Is there anything you need to do to turn on? I’ve tried connecting to PC with a wire and my computer recognizes it (connecting and disconnecting) USB. But no lights or anything work.
I’ve tried different cables but the same outcome. Different ports same thing. I didn’t know you could factory reset the keyboard. Was going through the manual and didn’t find any instructions on how to. Would you happen to know how? Thank you

I like the hotswap screen but it's long since time these budget boards switched to VIA.

I take it that you tried all the standard things. Swapped cable, swapped port, factory reset?
