By "med grade" you mean mass produced cannabis, in a factory-farming setup, using exploited labor to produce, subsidized by tax payers, and then charged an insane markup?
You are correct. It's not good enough for me. Especially when I can get sustainably grown, indoor or outdoor, mid quality cannabis, that is comparable to medical grade; for a lower cost.
I've never seen "medical grade" on par with any of our local growers that sell at a similar price point.
You don't really need a specific condition anymore to get a card. They opened it up last year. I still don't know that it's worth it anymore, but it is an option.
And there's always anxiety as an option...

I briefly looked into this a little while ago. Last I checked the state had a list of approved doctors that can get you one. There weren't a ton of doctors on the list locally. The list also seemed to be outdated with some doctors who moved, changed practices or even died still on the list.

If you buy online, yes. But any doctor can write an approval for it, so then it's just the cost of your copay.
