Maybe it's coincidental but I've stopped going to Clara's because it takes so damn long to get a drink. It's like you have to beg the bartenders to acknowledge your existence. Lou's (even without the food).
They actually completely revamped their burgers a sometime in the last 18 months. Big improvement IMO.
Default is now a slightly thicker single rather than two very big but thin double smashed patties and it fits the bun much better. Much less greasy.
Lou’s is only ironically a sports bar. You go in there and almost no one is watching the game. Totally different customer base than Clara’s.
And Clara’s isn’t the best either. There are better bars to watch sports in the area.
Boardroom C is new and still finding its identity. When it wants to be a sports bar, it's pretty good. Went there one night that the Rangers and Knicks were both playing and still managed to get wings and beer. Sometimes they try to be neighborhood quiet local bar and won't put the game audio on over the black keys and arctic monkeys greatest hits.
I want to like Craft Culture in Ridgewood but being alternately closed and empty isn't a good look, and it's pretty tiny anyway.
Boardroom C is decidedly williamsburg though. I like it a lot and hope it sticks around as it’s by far my favorite in the area to get a table for 10+ for an event like the super bowl. But it’s by Lorimer, not really the same neighborhood at all
It's definitely not Bushwick, but it's "in the area," easy enough to get to (unless the L train is down), and markedly better than any bars with TVs in Bushwick proper.
Have you not been there for any of the basketball finals? Place was also packed for the derby. I’ve seen plenty of hokey fans and even a college softball contingent. Tell me you don’t actually go to Lou’s without telling me.
Claras has a more sports bar/eccentric crowd/feel to it.
Lou's has sports but rarely do people engage with sports, it's more of a cash-only bar with sports and a really nice pool table.
I love your sparking conversation, but if you wanna make yourself bushwick meme lord please learn how to use memes correctly. Your meme game is weak af.
Can’t go to Clara’s without being forced into whatever game is on at full volume. Lou’s is a great date spot with plenty of comfortable space for game watching parties.

Clara’s food is pretty bomb
Blormpf, do we share tummies?!
Being a sports bar without food puts you a ways behind, Clara’s by a landslide 🏄🏻♂️
I thought Lou’s had food?
Lou's serves food but doesn't have a full-kitchen.
Ciara’s
Clara’s.
Lous! And also Lou’s does have food (not sure why the comments think they don’t)
You can also bring in whatever outside food you want at Lou’s.
What’s the point of a sports bar with no food?
Hear me out… to drink and watch the game
And wings arguably make that experience better, Clara’s wins
Looks like the Clara’s owner texted all his friends to come comment here 😂
No bro don’t need too
clara’s for sure the food
Idk, the worst burger I’ve ever had in my life (twice, months apart) was at Clara’s, this was 2020, but I can’t risk trying it one more time.
2020 everything was off i think this might be a skewed sample. never had their burger but it looks alright
I hear ya, I really liked their hot chicken sandwich actually.

Don’t worry, there’s not a secret better sports bar in the area you are missing out on. It’s basically just the two of them.

Who’s talking about dates tho?
the fact that there are sports bars in bushwick is heinous
Why?
