Uhhh when did u start playing zombies???? Cuz if I wanna “follow the story of Richthofen” you gotta go play every map in Waw,Bo1,Bo2,Bo3,and BO4

JustBeWolf

I mean, I played it on xbox 360, i remember those days i had only bo1 and bo2, and didnt know that waw had zombies, it was back in 2016 or earlier, i was 8-10... So even my english wasn't that good to follow the story The reason I'm doubting that I have to play all the maps is because a lot of them are repeatitive, not in gameplay or anything, they're just endless rounds, like kino, shi no numa, etc... they're not actually like shadow of evil, they're easter eggs and stuff are really hidden

UhhmActhually

So yeah all WaW maps and all bo1 maps , all bo2 maps, all bo3 maps and the Aether maps in bo4 so blood of the dead, Classified, Alpha Omega and Tag Der Tote

Sure-Palpitation2096

You also have to do every Easter egg from Der Riese - Cold War

Foxxo_420

Literally every Treyarch map before Cold War. Every map relates back to Richtofen in some way, so all of them are important in one way or another. Or you could just watch the 6 hour lore dump on youtube like a sane person. Your choice.

Sarcastic_Rocket

That's 5 games, 26 maps, 10 years of real life time, 100 years in game timeline, and I believe 6 or so different universes Call of duty World at war: All maps: Nacht der Untoten, Verrückt, Shi no numa, and Der Reise Call of Duty Black ops: All maps: Kino der toten, Five, Ascension, Call of the dead, Shangri-la, and moon Call of duty Black ops II: all maps: Tranzit, Nuketown, Die Rise, Mob or the dead, Buried, and Origins Call of duty Black ops III: All Maps: Shadows of Evil, the giant, Der Eisendrache, Zetsubou No Shima, Gorod, Krovi, and Revalations. Call of duty Black ops 4: Aether maps: Blood of the dead, Classified, Alpha Omega, and Tag Der Toten If you don't have any of these games the total cost comes to roughly: $287 if you go in and buy used physical copies at GameStop, it's more if you buy digital because those costs haven't gone down as much.

Lmao I respect it OP. People are clowning on you but it’s doable- we’re months away from release and there’s 30 or so maps to play. Assuming you can set aside a few hours on 30 separate days, I’d: 1) play the map, enjoy it, take in the environment and what your characters say 2) watch a video to understand the lore on what you just played 3) move on to the next one If you’re trying to do all the EEs, that’s pushing it haha

JustBeWolf

Thanks for the suggestion, as far as the comments been replying, this suggestion is the best, thanks again. I'll make sure to try this one.

TonyHaleRapt

If you're playing them to understand the story, you don't have to — because everything before BOCW (Aether) has barely any story relevance to the Dark Aether story. To understand BO6's story, you just need to play Vanguard and Black Ops Cold War.. and potentially MWZ. Order: Der Anfang, Terra Maledicta, Shi no Numa Reborn, Archon, Die Maschine, Firebase Z, Outbreak, Mauer der Toten, Forsaken, Operation: Deadbolt.

JustBeWolf

I want to follow richtofen's crew's story, like what happen to Tank, Nikolai, I think the japanese one is called Takeo, I want to play the game and understand what happened to them too

MoribundsWorld

The games aren’t particularly built for you to go in and understand the lore outright, just so you’re aware

ImaginationRolling

This is the biggest problem. You’d pretty much have to do the EE to every map to get any semblance of what’s going on. Just playing the maps, will have you posting this thread over. Imo

TonyHaleRapt

Aha.. well, then you've got five games to play. You're gonna have to play.. approximately 30-ish maps? And pay upwards of $500+

JustBeWolf

A have a couple of friends, some has have different cod versions, I will play them, and the ones missing, ill just buy them, the ones missing are probably bo1, 2, waw, wwii, a friend or 2 of mine really love COD games

Foxlover91

Is there any relevant story information in vanguard that I would need to know? Cuz i refuse to play it

TonyHaleRapt

The Construct. The Construct is an ancient all-powerful monolith, existing since the dawn of time. It could end existence in an instant.. except it chooses not to. Petitioning the Construct (proving yourself to it) will give you the chance to experience godhood, by receiving a fraction of its limitless power. In the case it deems you worthy, it will crown you an ‘Archon.’ It's highly speculated Dr. Monty was an Archon, considering the first Archon used the Construct's power to ‘‘wipe out a parasitic species that threatened their realm,’’ clearly referencing the Apothicon's banishment. There's also a good chance Zykov was an Archon, considering he displayed a lot of Kortifex's (a ‘Dark Aether Entity's’) previous powers (while crowned an Archon). The Construct could play a major role in BO6 — taking Richtofen's power-hungry self into account ;)

Sure-Palpitation2096

All the cods have DLC each map mostly requires 4 players only besides COTD and Der Riese, which itself really isn’t a true EE.

GolemThe3rd

[play all the maps WAW to BO4 ](https://www.reddit.com/r/CODZombies/comments/byqxbs/comment/eqkkox1/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

GreenDragon113

Just play all maps from WaW to BO

S0_B00sted

It'd be easier to list the ones you don't need to play, because there aren't really any that don't relate to him in some way. I guess the WaW maps pre-Der Riese didn't really involve him.
