Yeah. You can play it on the tiny Gunfight maps like KGB and have a lot of zombies spawn rapidly in a tight space.
You don’t have to worry about perks and pack a punch either, you’ll get those upgrades as you finish waves.
An innovated and improved Outbreak would be great to see, but apart from that Custom Mutations from BO4 really should make a return imo, with more customization options (perhaps a "classic" mode of sorts which reinstates perk limits, spawns you with a weak pistol, adjusts zombie health, damage, and speed, removes weapon rarity tiers, pack a punch tiers, and all the other "modern" zombies features introduced in Cold War nearly 4 years ago), a means of freeing up side content like easter eggs (perhaps as a reward for completing a map's EE, you can redo it in custom mutations), and maybe a few unique features like being able to put every wonder weapon in the game on any map in the box or something fun like that.
It's a relatively low effort mode for Treyarch, basically just requiring they give the player access to some sliders and options in an out of game menu, and I think it'd be absurdly fun for long term players.

Gun Game, Grief, Mutations and Survivals. I loved what they did in BO2 for maps to cut them in sections and make them mini survival maps. I wish Die Rise had that, and Mob had grief on cell block and I wish it were a survival map..
Onslaught. It’s so simple and mindlessly fun, especially mystery munitions.
Excellent for camo grinding too. Would have never got Dark Aether without it.

I'd love Outbreak to come back in a smaller but dense scale.

Outbreak is such a great concept, it’s like a zombies rogue-lite. I would love to see it fleshed out more.
Outbreak for sure. I much prefer Outbreak over MWZ, but I feel like a mix of both would be ideal.
Gauntlets. They were a fun challenge and I’d like to see them come back in some form.
Bring back Cranked. Such a great and fun adrenaline packed mode to see how far you could go before timer running out.
