Um. Jeez. *this sucks man*. Sorry you are dealing with this. You only have two choices. Up to you. Vise it up under a legit drill press. High quality bit and some good lube and hope you can drill out slightly smaller than the pin. Nice and slow and straight. Make sure it’s locked in the vice and supported and won’t move. Or Hardened tool steel (not a roll pin) punch, a real one from a mechanics set not a Home Depot Stanley PoS, and a baby sledge. Prob want a good solid support for the frame. Smack the F out of it and see if it moves. Pretty sure there really aren’t any other options. Edit: also, and I think you may already realize this, but that hole has a high probability of being totally giggity’d seeing as how you shoved something larger than the pin through it.

goldeNIPS

I may or may not have done something similar. I did a drill press and lubed the titanium bit with Lucas gun oil I had lying around. I took it very slow knowing that I didn’t want to boof the frame

PFran42

Get the correct sized punch and knock it out with FORCE from the other side. Then get the floating trigger pin from CGW. It doesn't care so much about trigger pin hole tolerances as it is retained by the trigger spring. Easy fix IMHO... and I don't see any permanent damage being done to the frame.

puzer11

use a bigger hammer...

mele420

Hawk tuah spit on that thang and a bigger hammer

JustSomeGuy2191

This was my answer🤣

mele420

😂😂😂😂

ACxREAL

punch it out from the other side. Penetrating oil or paraffin wax. The correct size punch. Well supported frame. Hit it hard. Be prepared to need more then one punch.

Emerald_Chain2366

I would call Cajun and see what they say or suggest. They might be able to save your frame. Here's hoping...

sentient_lamp_shade

There is almost certainly a machine shop in your town, I’d find them and throw yourself on their mercy. It won’t be free, but it’ll be way cheaper than a new pistol.

Far-Bid-9568

Yep. Part of working on things like this is realizing when you are in over your head Once a major fuck up occurs I have to back up and seriously consider if my chances are greater to make things better or worse. In this case I would bring it to someone with way better and more precise tools than yourself to avoid further damagw

CatEnjoyer1234

Take it to a gunsmith. The last thing you want is to stretch out that hole even more. Then the frame will be useless.

Budget_Secret4142

Probably should have done this in the first place. Not all kitchen table gunsmiths can work on CZ. Sorry this happened to you bud

vietec

You could try freezing the whole thing, then heating up the frame in the pin hole area before driving the pin out the way you drove it in (using a slightly smaller punch).

Or just buy the CGW tool set. This isn't rocket science. Their kits are literally drop in. America is losing it's "can do" spirit and it won't be long before Reddit subs are telling people not to try to change out a light switch because it is overly complex and you might get shocked.

redditorsAREtrashPPL

Light switch? Shit. Lightbulb.

ConstructionOk3600

I’ve done two myself and the experience is well worth it. Simple installation although…you definitely have to pay attention. Not knocking OP..shit happens. After doing the work, I’m confident I can repair just about anything that goes wrong with my CZs sans a catastrophic event..

602geyser

Facts. Thank goodness I had a good gunsmith around because I know I'm not handy or patient enough for small parts.

602geyser

Yeah. I didn't want to ruin my favorite gun and have to take it to a gunsmith anyways after I messed up.

Wjdorvyforveoxbwodhs

I think its because they don’t wanna wait weeks over saving that $100. If you got a cz and you need this cgw trigger, you got money to burn. I’d save that $300 towards another gun, I’m cheap like that.

ConstructionOk3600

Kentucky nailed it. It wasn’t necessary to save a few bucks. I have a few firearms that have 10x the value of a CGW Shadow 2. I wanted to learn a bit more about the gun and the wait would’ve been painful. Parts wear…guns encounter issues. Knowing how to gut them and rebuild is valuable experience. Same with fitting a barrel. Hopefully, no one has to experience a failure due to a barrel but, good luck sending that in and expecting it back in a decent amount of time while trying to avoid paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars. OP will come out better once it’s all said and done.

kentuckyMarksman

To get it out I'd consider using the proper sized pin and pushing it out through the other side using a press, but I think you might bend it. Could also drill all the way through with a drill press, ream your trigger out too, then make your own pin from a drill bit. I've had to do that before in the past on a project and it worked out.

NeatAvocado4845

Get a better punch set the one that has the fat body and the little tip and go the other way you got it stuck and use some penetrating oil to loosen it up a bit . And smack it on concrete (a surface that won’t bounce .

MrBlueSky5512

Lay it on a piece of wood with a hole in it or an armorers block. Punch it back through the other side with a slightly smaller punch and hammer. Youre going to need some force. It should be no different than driving out the factory hammer pins. I would suggest the CGW starter punch or equivalent from a store. You need a good tool steel punch. Frame should be fine if not just marked up. Use the CGW floating trigger pin afterwards. I’ve fixed this exact problem for a friend a couple years ago on a CZ75B.

MolassesPatient7229

Heat the pin with a soldering gun. Can you get at it from the removed slide area? Get it good and hot.(red hot) Let it cool completely. Knock it out from the backside using a Starret or comparable punch. Piece of cake.

MARPAT338

Put it in the freezer for a bit hopefully it contracts enough to punch out

bAMBIEN

Thank you guys for all your help! And for not judging me too much!! I think my best option is to contact CGW and see if they can remedy the situation and finish the install. There is a very big chance I screw something up even worse if I try and fix it alone. Cheers!

jewCEB0X

If you do get it out, you may need to use some Loctite 638 in the oversized hole to keep your pin from walking out
