I might be wrong but I don’t think that the density of the bud is parsed with the potency, some strains are fluffier.
Back in the day I read that high density is associated with the use of synthetic nutrients. 🤷
I don’t believe synthetic nutrients are any better at producing dense flowers than organics. It’s mostly about genetics and light, imo. I have grown supremely dense flowers a bunch of times growing organically.
Could be a million things. Genetics, your set up, what you fed them, how you dried and cured them.
No one answer without lots of data to help narrow it down
Looks like a healthy plant, just less cannabinoids. Also, the picture on the right has camera flash on. That specifically will show the trichomes way better in a pic. Have you taken a pic of yours in a darkish room with flash on? I bet it’ll look better than it does in the pic you have.
That being said, I’d assume it was genetics but also other things probably.
Did you get seeds from a breeder or just random bag seed?
With no other info than what’s in the pictures I would say the left has poorer genetics, was fed more nitrogen, received less or poorer quality light and was chopped too early.
The lighting is off for one. You took the first picture towards the light, and the second against it (with flash). This makes the first picture worse aesthetically.
Anyway, I don’t really think any of us can answer your question without complete details of your grow. But I say smoke it and tell us if you get an effect from it.
Ive read it somewhere that if you put it in a small pot, the roots get crammed and that will stress out the plant.. And may be because of that stress the bud is looking like that.
This looks like an auto flower bud with poor genetics. I highly recommend you try growing photoperiod seeds from reputable breeders. You’ll have much better results.
My guess that is a kush of some sort? I don’t feel like it was chopped to early based on the brown hairs. Was it sticky? Density issues most often come from low air flow which follows low co2. Don’t be afraid to use google before you let these animals tear you apart lol. Keep workin at it
This plant looks healthy but besides that, without looking at what you’re using, can’t say for sure. Is this your first grow? How many weeks since you flipped to 12/12?
I mean I can't really tell from pic. Looks like one dude said, cut too early, but also has pretty dark hairs. Sooo that's where my asshole comment of molasses comes in. It's more of a joke but it revolves around how I make fun of someone I know who wasn't feeding their shit sugars at the end of growth to really bulk up the buds. Yours looks like I needed possibly more but it lacked something. Imo. Could be a shit genetic tho too and you did everything right. But I still stand by, molasses.
Like I said it was more of a joke but you'll get shit bud like this if you don't bulk em up with sugars. I grew without feeding much before and had bud like this. Then started pumping them with sugars and carbs in flower and grew massive chunky buds.
I mean yeah, that's what everyone should do. But besides that feed them what they need. Aka sugars and carbs. If you read what I said it was me agreeing with a combination of things already stated, and then throwing out my molasses joke.
I assume is your first grow? Mine looked similar and yeah I might have chop earlier but they will get better, try to focus on what you can do from now on. Drying, curing very important steps to master.
So one thing that helps is a good picture. Maybe try taking the photo where there is light or using flash instead of having it look like the bud is hiding it's identity for a news segment
Get a picture where the bud isn’t backlit. Hard to tell from a silhouette. Also what are the genetics? What do you feed? Did you grow the bud on the right as well?
It’s hard to be certain from just a picture, but from what I can see the one on the left looks much less dense more airy. Which could be caused by insufficient lighting. You want to get around 1000umol at the canopy for optimal results without C02.
Unless you had a clone of the example plant, you can’t really compare the two. Even in the best of conditions the plant can only live up to it’s genetic potential. That’s why people pheno hunt for that one special plant that outperforms the rest and just continue to run clones from it.
If you tell us about your setup(lights, medium, ph, nutrients, temps, humidity, and what strain) we might be able to tell a little bit more about what caused the results.
Need better light. Check out Sonofarm. I've ran Spyder farmer and Mars Hydro. This new light blows them away. Very dense nuggies. I'm running an SF4000 in a 4x4. DM me for a discount code if you'd like. Currently running Northern Lights Auto from seedsman.
Well for one it looks like it was cut too early
And some garbage genetics
I might be wrong but I don’t think that the density of the bud is parsed with the potency, some strains are fluffier. Back in the day I read that high density is associated with the use of synthetic nutrients. 🤷
I didn't say anything about the potency. I said genetics
Genetics for sure
True

Doesn’t help that this photo was taken with a potato and zero lighting
But this buds on the left clearly don’t look healthy, aren’t they?

Lol that bud looks like 2 balls and a shaft! Lol nice one! Lol!
Nice cock!
Kinda like the little dicks on the show Big Mouth 😂
With no other info than what’s in the pictures I would say the left has poorer genetics, was fed more nitrogen, received less or poorer quality light and was chopped too early.
From the question being asked I'm just gonna say inexperienced grower.
Harvested too early plus mediocre genetics
Just it's phenotype doing it's thing
Bingo I get all sorts of form factors lol
Genetics
use a flash like the second
Looks like a Grassy Dick 🤣🤣🤣
It’s the little dicks from the show big mouth
Genetics.
Yeh it’s probably cbd shit or ruderalis
Bro you don’t even know what you’re talking about… don’t just say stuff in hopes to sound cool. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Filibuster!
Do you know what that word means?
Dossier!
not old enough for reddit
Cock
Looks like Mauric the Hormone monsters furry cocks.. lol

Whatup!
Soylentgreenis PEOPLE!!!!!
Simonson!
Did you grow it in a really small pot? i too had a plant really similar that i grew in a small pot.
That shouldn’t mean much ….it’s what’s in pot that counts lol and care it gets
U use half gallon pots now and get nice results
Ive read it somewhere that if you put it in a small pot, the roots get crammed and that will stress out the plant.. And may be because of that stress the bud is looking like that.
Pm
Has nothing to do with it. I grow in 1gals of soil and my plants look nothing like this.
This looks like an auto flower bud with poor genetics. I highly recommend you try growing photoperiod seeds from reputable breeders. You’ll have much better results.
You can't tell this is an auto. I have seen plenty of bad grown photos look just like this. It is grower error and just general shit genetics.
Buncha larf from doing something wrong or shitty genetics
My guess that is a kush of some sort? I don’t feel like it was chopped to early based on the brown hairs. Was it sticky? Density issues most often come from low air flow which follows low co2. Don’t be afraid to use google before you let these animals tear you apart lol. Keep workin at it
Looks like HLVD to me.
Heat stress maybe and or miracle grow? 🤦🏻♂️
This plant looks healthy but besides that, without looking at what you’re using, can’t say for sure. Is this your first grow? How many weeks since you flipped to 12/12?
Molasses.
But it doesn’t look healthy yeah?
I mean I can't really tell from pic. Looks like one dude said, cut too early, but also has pretty dark hairs. Sooo that's where my asshole comment of molasses comes in. It's more of a joke but it revolves around how I make fun of someone I know who wasn't feeding their shit sugars at the end of growth to really bulk up the buds. Molasses wouldn't of changed a damn thing here.
Like I said it was more of a joke but you'll get shit bud like this if you don't bulk em up with sugars. I grew without feeding much before and had bud like this. Then started pumping them with sugars and carbs in flower and grew massive chunky buds.
I just buy good genetics and dial in my environment.
I mean yeah, that's what everyone should do. But besides that feed them what they need. Aka sugars and carbs. If you read what I said it was me agreeing with a combination of things already stated, and then throwing out my molasses joke.
Truth! You don't have to throw out your molasses joke. Everyone uses it. ;)
Some genetica just grow that way. Had a white widow recently that looked just as hairy. Don't worry about it.
I assume is your first grow? Mine looked similar and yeah I might have chop earlier but they will get better, try to focus on what you can do from now on. Drying, curing very important steps to master.
Will this kinda buds get me proper high?
You have to smoke it to find out since you won't tell us the genetics.
So one thing that helps is a good picture. Maybe try taking the photo where there is light or using flash instead of having it look like the bud is hiding it's identity for a news segment
put it in your vaporiser and try it out. then you will see
Get a picture where the bud isn’t backlit. Hard to tell from a silhouette. Also what are the genetics? What do you feed? Did you grow the bud on the right as well?
Probably a nutrient deficiency in flowering phase
I have had some buds (Jack Herer) that looked like that, however, they were still incredibly potent.
It’s hard to be certain from just a picture, but from what I can see the one on the left looks much less dense more airy. Which could be caused by insufficient lighting. It’s the genetics this kind of looks like a sativa strain similar to maybe orange bud might be good smoke look up haze some look like that
Cock and balls!

It’s fluffy when you dry and cure maybe not do much
