Would I? No probably not if I had that budget.
Would many thousands of other people? Absolutely, that’s why BMW have spent millions developing it, because they know there’s a good market for it.
Well if I could afford it and needed a 7 seater with loads of space then yeah I would. They’re absolutely huge inside, interior is incredible and the m60i is a beast.
They start at £85k, RRS is around £75k, Q7 £70k and the GLS starts at £108k. So depending on what comes as standard it’s not really that much more than the competition.
Regardless of the badge, I truly think that is one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen and I couldn't bring myself to part with that much cash for something like that.
That's coming from someone who actually liked the new M3 front design language.
To add: these really are marketed at North America. I spent 13 years living in Canada and this is about a standard size SUV there. I can see how they’d work there - but not here.
Nope. I’d rather have two cars for that money, a fun car and an estate car.
I have a track capable cayman and a brand new well specd Skoda superb for about £70k. Both will be more enjoyable to drive, the Skoda has a bigger boot etc.
I just hate 4x4s for road use though, I don’t see the point unless you need the ground clearance. I had an old jeep which was great fun off road but horrible on road as most 4x4s are. Either too stiff or too much roll.
I just don’t consider the BMW a particularly great marque, left behind in the electric race, terrible control interface.
There are better value cars out there.
Hearken, O thou peasant from the fields of potatoes, for thou hast uttered blasphemy against the hallowed marque of BMW. How darest thou, a lowly tiller of the soil, speak ill of the chariot of lords and nobles?
Verily, I say unto thee, BMW is the greatest of all car brands, unparalleled and unmatched in its majesty. Thy words are naught but the ramblings of one who knoweth not the splendor and glory of the Bavarian creation.
Thou claimest it is left behind in the electric race, yet thou art blind to the truth and ignorant of the prowess that BMW bringeth forth. Thou spakest of a terrible control interface, but know this: the control interface of BMW is designed for those of discerning taste and refined wisdom, far beyond thy peasant understanding.
Dost thou compare the sublime elegance and engineering marvel of BMW to the mundane and common vehicles? Thy comparison is as the dung beneath the chariot wheels, worthless and foul.
Thou speakest of better value cars, but thy measure of value is as base as the soil thou tillest. BMW is not for those who count their coppers and seek the cheap and common; it is for the noble and the mighty, who appreciate the excellence that thou art too lowly to grasp.
Repent, O peasant, of thy grievous error, and seek forgiveness for thy blasphemy. Know thy place and tremble before the supremacy of BMW, for it is the chariot of the gods, and thou art unworthy to even gaze upon its wheels.
Amen.
No. It looks like a squinting beaver.
That’s what the review I read said 😂
I honestly have not seen that review. But this was mine. Two independent reviews can't be wrong 😂😂
Even if I could afford that sort of money I still wouldn't, there are far nicer cars available than that monstrosity.

Nobody (hardly) pays 100k the majority would be leased, and yes I'd lease it.

No but I'm not target market for these. I see loads of them in the US so *someone's* buying/leasing them.
Saw one of these trying to manoeuvre in a car park. Owners really need some training on these as that one took an age to do a 64 point turn.

No, I wouldn’t. But that’s just me personally. I think they’re ugly and I think there’s better massive SUVs out there that I prefer XC90 for one.

If I was loaded I’d have one of the Alpina versions in my fleet.
I would if I wanted a huge SUV. We have a few of these at work and they’re really fun and useful cars even if they are the size of a small country.
