I am glad I asked. I owned a cat called Ginger for fifteen years and just realised she was actually orange.

Orange, ginger, and red are the names people use when talking about orange cats. They have varying degrees of coat patterns & colors. For example, I have male twin gingers but one has no white on him and he looks like he was dipped in cinnamon so I call him my little cinnamon bun. His brother has white underneath his chin & on his cheeks but his orange color is more orange so I call him my orange creamsicle.

I've never given any thought to the eye color! Now I have another decision to make... hmm. I'm so attached to my real eye color, which is brown. It's hard for me to imagine anything else, even if it would be a cool fantasy color, like red or purple. I think that red eyes are underrated in character design. They're used as an "evil" character trait a lot, but they're just really pretty!

I would be orange or light brown The other day I was at the park with friends and we saw a white cat and I said dw it’s just me. But after thinking for a few seconds I said “nah, I wouldn’t be white”. I'd be a ginger. I've had a female & male previously and they were the best all around cats I've ever had, not that I didn't equally love my other kitties. In my experience, gingers can be very independent but also love attention and both of my previous gingers were lap cats and very affectionate. They are both gone now (one died in 1996 and the other in 2016) and last year I adopted male twin gingers and they are little love bugs. They will be 2 yrs old in August.
