FairyOnTheLoose

Just spent an entire Dexter episode getting through a glass of wine. Don't know what's wrong with me.

mgmilltown

Today was the best day I've had in a long time, got a tiny amount of tax back (enough to fork out for the proper hunky dory's instead of the aldi shite), then got two lots of life changing good news. Today is a good day and I'll sleep happy tonight.

Key_Register3616

Are you gonna share the life changing good news? Don’t leave us on a cliffhanger

mgmilltown

I'd absolutely love to but it'd be too obvious.

tails142

Got it, say no more Sir Prime Minister

ShortbreadHounds

Look at this gif of a dog I found ![gif](giphy|21GCae4djDWtP5soiY|downsized)

funpubquiz

Today was the greatest day.

TheStoicNihilist

Calm down, Billy Corgan.

Worfsmama

First day outside after covid, that was some dose

Interesting-psycho

Same, it's a really nasty virus. I've been down since last Fri, and I'm still really tired and a little congested. But i was able to leave the house today, too. I'm glad you're feeling better 😊

theXMrsMOHara

I've just had an awesome 5k walk in warm rain. Runners are soaked as well as everything else. I am at peace with 2024's summer. It's still shit though.

Illustrious-Care1204

I love to walk in the rain it's so relaxing but the worst part of it is the runners being soaked through other than that it's all good

qwerty_1965

I'm nursing light ligament damage. Watching football and thinking about peanuts, seriously roasted ones with loads of salt. If I wasn't lazy I'd go out and get some. And strong cheese and cider. Oh god.

BarFamiliar5892

I had a day off today. It was lovely.

peachmelba88

Nice day today. Office had a nice Friday feeling vibe, got the last birthday cake on the shelf in tesco, didn’t get caught in the rain, now nursing a nice glass of rosé & watching DCC on Netflix with the house to myself.

Busy-Jicama-3474

I broke a family members new dinner table today. They had just bought it and I was trying to be nice and put it together. I made shit of it. Its going to the dump now. It was cheaply made is my excuse.

unsuspectingwatcher

I took today as a day owed to go visit home for the weekend (down the country) so tis great. No one spoils you like your folks when you’re home for the weekend

Ok_Worldliness_2987

I was having a good day until France vs Portugal happened 😂

FirminoNo9

I wish France went out from the group stage, every game they have been in has been a complete fucking snooze fest.

Ok_Worldliness_2987

I know. Absolutely dreadful, like watching paint dry.

FirminoNo9

I’m only still watching it because I feel it’s going to penalties 😅

Ok_Worldliness_2987

Has to be. Mind you felix has that injection of pace Portugal might need. Regardless of who qualifies Spain will smoke them in the semis

FirminoNo9

Yeah he defo has and Mbappe off for penalties that’s crazy. Spain will win the whole thing no doubt, them and Portugal in the semis would be tasty.

Ok_Worldliness_2987

Yeah Spain were brilliant today, defo have to win. Dani Olmo has been brilliant the entire tournament along with exciting talents yanal and Williams.

sp00ky_queen95

Today was a meh day… wasn’t amazing but wasn’t bad either. Spent with my two kids outdoors mostly. Had a bad stomach ache all day. Then when the fiancé got home we watched the bear and he brought me home my favourite snacks and energy drink. And now I’m watching him play xbox.

Stationary_Addict_

Today was a rough day. Wfh with a toddler who demanded I 'turn the tv' because they didn't like the angle. Every. 10. Minutes. On the bright side they ate well and didn't hold me hostage for sweets all day.

bouboucee

I don't know how the hell you can possibly work from home with a toddler but fair play for making it through the day!

Stationary_Addict_

Luckily my work isn't monitored *that* closely. As long as it's done by end of day (it was) I'm golden. Even if I only had most of it done id be fine. The kid is a good'un. Obviously they just love to press your buttons when you're working. If I wasn't, I'd be persona non grata. 😂 Edit: they also love to 'work' with me on my iPad. Set up next to me with a 'coffee' (aka hot chocolate) and a snack plate (grapes, 'chocolate covered strawberries' aka aldis yogurt covered cranberries, and a mini pack of party rings). Sometimes it lasts sometimes it doesn't. But they've descovered the joys of those murder mystery find the object apps. It's a pity I have to read the word they're looking for he whole time. If any one has suggestions for ones that you gave to find the shape from a shadow or something that would be great.

bouboucee

I used to throw uncooked rice into a baking tray with scoopers and washed out yogurt pots and it would keep them entertained for hours. It was a life saver so many times!

AhhhhBiscuits

Absolutely shit day. Brexit has made my job so fucking difficult and the lads organise the collections constantly for a Friday then the hauliers go in late and I’m suppose to finish early on a Friday and it never happens while they all get to fuck off home. Plus the youngest is like a bag of cats this evening

SplittingAssembly

Big beats are the best, get high all the time.

KatarnsBeard

Floss is boss

Kittens4dayz

I have a three week old… I don’t know what day it is…

GimJordon

Ours was 10 months old today. Enjoy the newborn bubble. Fill your freezer with Earp or something similar if you haven’t already, so handy and one less thing to worry about

littlecountryjeep

Sorry, but what is Earp?

GimJordon

Damn autocorrect got me again. Meant to say Eatto

littlecountryjeep

Thank you

Kittens4dayz

Oh congrats. Hope you’re getting a bit more sleep nowadays!

FairyOnTheLoose

Been sick from work since April, have to remind myself what month it is.

SplittingAssembly

How was that not a penalty for a Cucurella handball.

quathain

Had the day off because I work for an American company and the new boss wanted to impress by giving most of their staff a 4 day weekend. (All US staff were already off on Thursday for the 4th of July.) The timing was perfect because we’re off on holiday to Waterford tomorrow, so I could spend the day packing and putting the house to tights so it’s nice and clean when we come home again. I probably would have done it all today anyway but nice to not even pretend to be working from home. The worst part of the day was nipping into Dunnes for a few bits before I collected the kids from crèche. They’ve moved nearly everything in the shop due to renovations and I found it a really stressful experience trying to find the cheese aisle. Praying for good weather and happy children that sleep through the night while we’re away.the 4 year old should be ok but the 1.5 year old has never been on holiday before and sleeps fairly poorly at the best of times.

fr-spodokomodo

Sometimes I just want to stop. You know, just not interact with people. I'd love it. K

Bulky-Ocelot

Dosed with a flu (not covid) sounds like I've been smoking 60 Benson for 40 years. Strepsils extra are a lifesaver

oOCazzerOo

A new girl started at work there and I've found myself starting to fancy her and I feel like it might be mutual. Catching her staring, quickly looking away if caught, mentioned unprompted that she's single (possibly newly) Talked a bit and found out we have similar interests then. I'm not sure what to do, it's at work so I want to keep it professional and not make things awkward if I'm reading things wrong. I'm rattling my brain now as to how to go about things and I haven't an iota what to do.

LikkyBumBum

This is so cringe.
