Beware of lifestyle creep.
Save half of it. Tutal nung PHP 100,000.00 - PHP 150,000.00 ang sahod mo, kinaya mo. Ngayon doble na sahod mo, you can save half of it.
> Beware of lifestyle creep.
‘Eto talaga yun, OP! For sure marami kang plans and gustong gawin with your x2 increase of income. Aralin mo mabuti kahit anong investment papasukin mo and huwag ma-FOMO!
Ask yourself first, how stable your job rn. Do you think you can still get the same income in the next 2-4 years or it can still increase 5 or more years from now?
Minsan kasi na-overwhelm tayo tapos ang dami natin gusto gawin kaso kapag di pala sustainable yung ganung income, you may end up losing more in the future.
So importante na may foundation ka muna like savings, etc, before you invest sa mga di mabilis iliquidate na assets.
Condo na titirhan mo? It depends sa work mo.
Pero kung condo na gagawin mong source of income, I advise to look for alternatives.
Hindi kasi mabibili ng pera yung time ng commute mo in and out of work.
AGREE, if OP see his self working at BGC for the 10-15 years, its an option to buy a condo. 2 bedroom condo minimum na if kaya. Kasi you never know, a studio or a 1 bedroom is very small for a starting family.
Not a wise decision to own a condo unless you already have the Emergency Fund and you have paid all your debts
Best to pay in cash for the condo also. Better to wait
Delegate muna syempre. What percent goes to where.
Set goals.
Build emergency fund.
Multiple savings in different banks.
Invest.
Ako personally, I'll save to buy commercial lots or apartment buildings. Basta sa real estate ako mag-iinvest.
Agree!
At one point in my life, I went from 100k to 300k to 7 digit per month.
Currently retired now though, but what I did was:
1. change nothing in my lifestyle. Nobody even found out about my income increases. I kept to my 100k monthly income lifestyle
2. assuming you have the basics (6 months emergency fund), start investing in 100% passive investments.
- people recommend index funds, pero baba ng tiwala ko sa UITFs na based sa local stocks. I prefer index funds based on international stocks. You can invest in VTSAX via Security Bank's feeder fund (Google "SB US Equity Index Feeder Fund")
I'd put in 50-100k per month from a 300k monthly.
- people always downvote this, but I recommend investing in Bitcoin. Kaso baka magspike yung price this year, I recommend staying away pag nagrarally yung price, invest when the crypto market seems boring and flat (cycles kasi sya usually). For a 300k monthly, even just 50k per month (100k if you're feeling risky).
Yung compounding interest ng dalawang to means you could be retired after 10-20 years. Google "financial independence, retire early" to read more about it
The reason why Bitcoin or crypto is being looked down because it is not sustainable. If no one buys crypto it will crater since it has literally no intrinsic value.
It is literally a gamble. That is why you get rich or poor with crypto fast. If you got lucky, there are 100 who got poorer. It is just simple case of survivorship bias.
The smart play is not to spend your money. Keep living below your means. Find good investments and tell nobody how much you’re making or where you’re putting your money.
The ultimate goal should be FIRE
Financial Independence Retire Early
Probably invest muna in small things that could make my environment and life easier. Alam ko it sounds bad to just spend money pero to be fair mas productive ka naman talaga when you're places in an environment na comfortable ka. So if meron kang things in your home or place that you wanna upgrade, probably spend it on that so a better bed? a better phone? Up to you. Then maybe after that start investing in things na magpapa-lago ng money ko.
BUY LANDS, PROPERTIES, INVEST IN BUSINESSES, BUY STOCKS, SAVE, INSURANCE FOR YOU AND FAM. HINDI ARAW ARAW SUNDAY SO KAHIT PAPANO DAPAT PREPARED KA. CONGRATS PALAAAA. ✨✨
I(29F) will save 200k on first month. Yung remaining 100k hahatiin sa worth 30k groceries, 10k sa raw goods and foods, 35k sa bills (including yung advance payment sa Meralco if keri), 5k for parent's maintenance medicine, 5k sa bigas, then isstandby ang remaining 15k miscellaneous expenses. Umiiwas ako sa utang as much as possible, na trauma ako nung bata na ako yun taga bili at taga utang sa tindahan 🤣
Succeeding months, I will start saving at least 230k, remaining will be again budgeted for foods, bills, and gradual expenses sa improvement ng family home namin. Basta dapat minimim of 200k ang savings per month. Repeat same practice hanggang mag 7-8 digits na ang laman ng bank account and hopefully enough na to start my own family haha. Syempre di padin titigil sa kayod, kayod lang hanggang end of life dahil di naman natitigil ang gastos at inflation.
It has always been my dream to see a loooot of savings sa bank account ko at the same time hindi kinakapos sa mga basic and not so basic needs. Truly, it is a luxury to have savings, especially if building a life from scratch. Yung literal galing sa laylayan. What if lang naman eh. Di naman masama mangarap diba? At the same time actively working on it 🥲 great question, OP. ❤️
Investment. Land acquisition. Properties. Insurance for yourself and your whole family. Dami ka pwedeng gawin OP, learned this lesson the hard way. LOL!
First, make sure you buy all the stuff that you need and you don't have personal loans (if meron, settle them at once).
If you're renting, invest on a house.
If you don't have a car, buy one.
Always prioritize ownership if you're just starting and you have the capability.
Then learn to invest in stocks. bonds. take your pick (explore).
Lastly, your lifestyle.
Do not empty your wallet just because you think meron na naman next month. Save some of it after all dues are paid.
Sa 300k/month kakayanin na ang EU trip! After travel, start saving. Once may mga 5m ka na, you can purchase a lot in cash, build a house from scratch, and then sell it. Makaka build ka siguro ng magandang bahay with around 12 - 15m total budget and can sell it for 25 to 30m.
My goodness. What responsibilities does that entail and am I strong enough to handle them? Lmao.
I'd pay off my debts for one. Part of me says I should get a rifle though, who knows what dangers come next
Save half of the 300k every month. Wait until you reach a million, and start to invest that in the blue bank. They have a program that will let your money earn interest for you. Use the interest for your wants.
Wag mo itaas yung cost of living mo kahit ano pang itaas ng sahod mo. If you can make an expense or budget tracker better.
Pwede ka rin kumuha ng book bank sa preferred mong bank to save and if ever my emergency situations at least may bubunutin ka.
Not earning as much as you do pero eto:
\* EF -> always nag-iipon kahit na "enough" sya for me to stop working for a few months, targetting to reach 7-digits by December
\* UITFs -> making use of BPI's RSP (regular subscription plan) where it deducts a standard rate of money over a period (I make mine monthly) since low-risk low-reward investment din sya pero nasa 10% gain na ako (though I started way before the pandemic pa kaya nasa 10% gain na sya)
\* Other investments -> I mostly trade in PSE so puro REITs lang para stable dividents din
\* Ipon ng pang-business (I'm targetting a franchise of a food cart but haven't decided which one yet since kulang pa yung naiipon)
\* Ipon pang-special anniversary celebration with SO (trip abroad)
\* Ipon pambili ng gadgets (targetting to buy S25 Ultra when it releases next year so ngayon pa lang napapag-ipunan ko na, 5-year old gaming mouse is already giving up so sinasagad ko na lang bago ako bumili ng bago)
What I did a couple of years back was to focus on my own mental state without being financially irresponsible of course. I’d save up a huge chunk of cash on the side for emergency fund worth of over a year of my typical spending, travel every month or when I feel bored of life, get a really great psychiatrist, eat healthier, get into nicer hobbies, save a big chunk as well to purchase land & for my future wedding haha! 😆Also, mp2 and US blue stocks were on my list
the wedding part was very helpful haha I got married last year, paid all in cash and was truly a dream wedding! Couldn’t believe that I would be able to spend that much without any help from both parents.
Investment for savings, lalo na pang retirement plan. Prolly would look / study for the best country na maganda program for retired elders
Remaining savings would be for me and my fam support na, esp for medical emergencies
Sana ganyan din problema ko.. hahaha!
Happy for you OP! ✨
hahaha! tas ipapa for rent ko..
Basic Accounting (as the language of Finance) sana can help them easily maneuver sa mga financial challenges nila.
Siguro if 300k ako per month, uunahin ko ayusin unti unti bahay namin para mas gumanda at lumaki pa. Mag tatabi ako ng emergency fund for my parents maybe put 20k per month, tapos mag oopen ako ng grocery as business sa lugar namin. Coconvert ko yung isang rowhouse into a mini grocery. Then, the rest savings na.
Haaaay sana all naka 300k 🫶🏻
Of course, invest invest! Or ipon ng enough amount to buy a lot, pangarap ko kasing magkaroon ng private resort eh. Then of course, treat din buong fam sa labas or mag out of town trip.
Set up investment accounts and grow them. Put 150k in them every month and live off of the other 150k very comfortably. Congratulations in advance if you do this, because you'll be on track to become a multimillionaire within the next 5 years unless you somehow become someone who can't control their spending.
Basically...
- Emergency funds...
- Investments like REITS through easily downloadable apps.
- Maybe buy house/ Condo have it rented.
Build your side income as this type of salary usually ends with leaving the company as not meeting the expected performance or health issues due to stress.. lol
invest sa mga bagay na mapapakinabangan in the future.
Bahay, lupa, insurance, business na sure kang magclick. Some say gold isa sa the best kasi tumataas ang value. And napatunayan ko sya.
I know hindi ka ganyan, just a piece of advice madami lang akong kakilala na ganon nangyare kasi nakampante sa malaking sahod.
1. You can never go wrong with real estate, try investing in a studio unit through bank financing (tax related reason) and then lease it. The money from leasing is used only to pay the loans, association dues and real property tax. Don’t ever think of how much you can earn while you sleep. The goal for real estate is always long term investment. Then just sell the whole thing after 10 years.
2. Never do franchising. Brands will eventually set new rules and occupy the best places to put up their business. They will also charge lots of miscellaneous fees such as advertising/branding/marketing and price increase on their selected products or services.
3. If you’re a risk taker, you can do micro financing to trusted people.
As in no one.
I used to have this (almost to the amount mentioned). Then I lost that job of mine, now.... struggle hahaha kasi sobrang laking talon pababa din eh. Mag ipon, live niether below nor above your means. Yung sakto lang para makaipon in case anything will happen. Invest if you can din.
Kidding aside kung nabuhay ka comfortable with P100k-P150k/mo for sure kaya mo yun i-maintain. Imagine may 150-200k ka saving monthly. Wag mo muna galawin until may sure ka ng avenue for investment, gaya ng sabe ng ilan dito MP2 would be the safest bet.
Always save! Mutual funds, investment, Forex, Crypto. Always live within your means. You will never know when you will need a big money e.g. emergency, etc.
Also, travel as much as you can habang wala pang family but always save! :)
OH BOY. I will only dream of getting that salary in the PH. Pero ito naiisip ko:
- Save half of it muna mostly in my digital banks for higher interest and add to Pag IBIG MP2
- Rent a condo near my work place
- Buy and install aircon in my main house's bedroom / work room
- get myself HMO if I dont have it from work
If I keep earning this:
- Renovate our 30+ yr home
- Install aircon to other rooms
- Think of ways to earn like a side hustle, start small para kung lugi di masakit
- buy condo only for living or actual usage, not wise for "investment"
Kahit 100k-150k/month di ko makuha. Hayst sana ganyan din problema ko HAHAHHA
Just kidding, pero OP if I were you, magsave talaga ako. Kasi ako di ko magawa now kasi nauuna talaga mga responsibilities ko and ending, wala na talagang natitira sa sahod ko. 🥲
I recommend following the prime directive in the r/personalfinance subreddit. I don’t live in the ph but make pretty good money in the US in a remote role & this is what I follow.
It has been extremely helpful for me and has helped me get to my current net worth. I’m projected to hit $1M in 7 years & $2.5M in 17 years (at 51 yo).
In my case I'd pay off all cash debts and if there are any loans that cant be paid due to terms, Id put the money in a bank that has a high interest rate. Get medical insurances especiallt for senior parents.
If there is anything left Id split it in savings and Emergency Fund worth atleast 6mos. Remaining id spill to our business and one local travel destination.
invest in stocks that lets you take out the interest you earn from it.
invest in bonds depending on your risk either short or long term.
invest in gold (buy jewelry or gold bars)
And if you are feeling business ventures
research small food carts that are popular in the area and open up one
if you have someone you can trust or hire, get a rider for lalamove or food delivery service and split the earnings
airBnB on condos can be a hit or miss depending on the location research heavily if going this route.
leisure and material item should be the lowest priority but must not be neglected as this is a way to reward yourself
Would you consider donating to **Pawssion Project**? Hehehehe. They have plenty of rescues who need help. They are low on finances sometimes. If you have extra, baka naman po. So I can be with family more
Save and invest sa mga TD or REIT or even Pagibig Mp2. Just spend on what you need plus extra to splurge. Take note, money is king especially when there is an emergency. Maybe save at least two years worth of salary then consider investing in real estate as you mentioned but condo aint an investment unless you are planning to live at the condo.
If I have a 300k/month, I would….
- Pay off debts and restart my lifestyle into a super simple one 😭😭😇😇
- Save 75k monthly
- Buy a beach lot for retirement + airbnb. Real estate is keyyyyy.
- Isip pako chz.
Congrats po.
if you pay all your debts
1. Emergency Fund - atleast 6 months of your expenses
2. put some on:
- digital banks - mataas kasi yung interest compared traditional banks
-traditional banks - for visa purposes lang lalo if need ng mga ADB
-MP2
3. either you invest in stocks or properties (rental properties), it depends din if you are conservative or aggressive investor
I'd keep the news to myself and only myself. I'll then start to budget things based on my needs, especially my savings. Tapos buy me something as a token of appreciation for coming this far. I suggest to take this kind of things really rationalistically since money rules the world now. 'Di ko siya ilalaan into something na wouldn't much matter in the near future.
Wala. Just like before. Ganun parin. Kung di ka mahilig gumala, don't. You do not need to try everything, you will need the money sometime of your life. Save, invest, share, invest more.
Wala siguro mababago sakin hahahahahahaha
Same expenses lang ako mapababa or laki sahod ko ehh though I invest most of my money on stocks currently and coop
I scouted for a house. With monthly amortization that I can manage. I saved up first for the downpayment. And when I finally found “the one”, I was already ready. It’s really up to you. At the end of the day, you earned it. Just always remember to have separate accounts for: 1. Emergency 2. Short Term Goals (travels, purchases) 3. Long Term Goals (kids? Retirement. Home renovation) 4. Investment
Good luck and enjoy your hard-earned money!
Kailan kaya ako magkakaroon ng ganitong problema 🥲
btw try Investing it po, Stock Market or Real estate any investment po na you're willing to learn and research po.
As an overthinker and planner, naisip ko na to kahit wala pa sa 6 digits sweldo ko hahaha. Pero ang biggest change is a large portion malalagay lang sa savings / investments, and then amortization ng housing loan pag lumaki laki na net worth. Maliban dun, tinaas ko din yung allocated sa family (treat or essentials sa bahay, and sa electricity bill kasi feel ko afford ko nang mag aircon wantusawa kami nun 😆).
Pabasbas naman po 🥹😂
Review for NMAT and will make sure Ill get into med school with a scholarship. Wala lang. Gusto ko lang maging Doctor sa barrio. Mahal kasi mag aral ng medicine. 😂
Buy starbucks and post it in instagram. Just like the kids these days.
Jk .
Start planning for my independent freelance work and saving money for savings and family.
Keep your salary increase to yourself and save + invest as much as you can, OP!
Edit: What I mean is don't let anybody know kung magkano na sinasahod mo or kung magkano tinaas. Trust me pag may ibang nakaalam, kahit pamilya mo pa yan, maya't maya ang chat sayo para manghiram.
Keep living your life and stay healthy.
Lifestyle creep is hard to avoid so make sure to set aside a fixed percentage for savings and investments.
I hit an income milestone years ago but never really changed my lifestyle due to the gradual change.
You are now a HENRY (High Earner Not Rich Yet).
Since pangarap ko magka bahay and mag put up ng farm, I'll buy lupa na good for farming and tayuan ng bahay ko. Then invest, make your emergency fund and retirement fund. 300k is a huge amount if hindi ka naman maluho.
My lifestyle barely change, the only difference is that i buy better quality so i don’t need to buy again in a long time or i buy in bulk to save money.
condos are extremely overpriced since the end of the pandemic... di makapaghintay ang mga developers na bumawi by rigging the supposedly demand for units to jack up prices... if gusto mo talaga ng property sa high-rise, get the commercial ones sa ground floor to rent out to convenience stores, banks, and the like... buy land instead sa clark area...
gold and and silver will hold their value... unti-unti nang nagde-decouple sa us$ ang madaming bansa dahil record-breaking mag print ng pera ang federal reserve na walang corresponding real value outside of lending it out...
mahirap ung first thing, kasi usually naman you set aside a few for multiple items. a portion for A, B, C then D. just to add sa mga nasabi na, kasi it will be more of a habit.
emergency fund - yes okay to, the way I did it was to set aside an amount weekly and lalagay ko sa account na hindi ko masyadong minomonitor.. I don't put a target on it, like worth 6 months of expenses or something, kasi mas matetempt ka mag rebudget or galawin ung naitabi just to purchase unnecessary stuff. basta mag tabi ka lang like 3k or 6k or 10k per week kung ano kaya mo, then just leave it there. for sure pag may emergency ka na, you have the funds for it.
invest - yes maginvest ka. either buy stocks or put up a small business if time permits. also try to learn from any source kahit na pyramid scheme or whatever, I'm sure you'll learn something from them, whether you just want to sustain, earn a bit more, or be ultra rich tomorrow. pero don't follow them blindly (lalo na sa mga financial gurus). usually naman mga financial gurus ang racket ng mga yan magbenta ng libro (na package, low price kuno) para daw yumaman, or mag-speaker kung saan.. same shit lang naman mga sasabihin ng mga yan, google mo lang kung pano.. kung ano sinabi ni author X, Y at Z, halos pareparehas lang naman yan. earn from multiple sources, invest in stocks or something, wala naman sa kanila nagttweet or livestream na "eto invest ka sa stocks ni XYZ or sa company ABC, then after 10 years ung 10k mo magiging 1M"...compare mo wiki pages ng mga legit mayaman sa financial gurus, e.g. the Ayalas, Gokongwei, etc. di naman sila nagbebenta ng libro taon-taon diba?
enjoy - don't forget to enjoy the spoils of war. you earned it, you should enjoy it every now and then. kumain ka ng masarap, bumili ka ng bagong phone etc. don't forget to invest in your own happiness, sabi nga nila di mo rin madadala sa hukay yan.
most prolly medical insurance (im not sure sa tawag sori) or gawa emergency funds.
im a nursing student and i kno definitely mahal ang medical bills, pero isang iglap lang mawawala ang pera sa ospital. having properties and assets are good, but i would see patients eventually selling them just to cover their medical bills, and for me nakakahinayang kase it could be passed down siguro, but since walang ipon or walang na-allot for medical emergencies, nawala ung pinaghirapan nila :<
living as middle class citizen, natakot din ako sa realization ko na un na what if wala akong madudukot for a medical emergency? (im scared of death din) kaya upon that day, i took it upon myself na uunahin ko paglaanan ng pera duon pag nag-work ako.
Invest in yourself. Go in a good gym. Get a good insurance. Travel. Get a mentor. Give back to your parents.
Invest in knowledge. Know where to invest your money. All about leveling up. 500k next :)
I’m not going to post about it and ask strangers who don’t have the same privilege. Charot.
Seriously though.
I’ll make sure I can keep that income/job for the next 5 years.
Pay my loans/installments if there’s any.
Matik save the 50%, shoul go to long-term savings
10% goes to insurance
10% for 6 months goes to a small business (a small bar or canteen, small enough that I can manage on my free time)
I lived comfortably with P75K monthly, so an additional P15K monthly will go to health and wellness - regular pilates, spa treatment, better food options (aminin nyo mahal ang kumain ng healthy food).
Ganito ang gusto kong problema
Trust me, iyak iyak din ako before hahahaha
I upskilled to a higher paying skill and discovered freelancing a few years back!
Beware of lifestyle creep. Save half of it. Tutal nung PHP 100,000.00 - PHP 150,000.00 ang sahod mo, kinaya mo. Ngayon doble na sahod mo, you can save half of it.

Thanks for the advice! Plan ko pa naman sana maginvest sa condo but IDK if that's a wise decision vs. just renting???
Invest in land not in condo… land never decreases the value.
Land value may decrease but not depreciate.
Condo na titirhan mo? It depends sa work mo. Pero kung condo na gagawin mong source of income, I advise to look for alternatives.
Atm, yes since I work sa BGC.
Hindi kasi mabibili ng pera yung time ng commute mo in and out of work.
AGREE, if OP see his self working at BGC for the 10-15 years, its an option to buy a condo. 2 bedroom condo minimum na if kaya. Kasi you never know, a studio or a 1 bedroom is very small for a starting family.
beware of hidden fees though always ask your neighbors how much they're paying for miscellaneous if may kakilala ka na lives in the same building
Not a wise decision to own a condo unless you already have the Emergency Fund and you have paid all your debts Best to pay in cash for the condo also. Better to wait
>Coming from someone who used to earn only P100k-P150k/mo, For someone na eto ang dream salary, masakit eto basahin haha.
Comparison is the thief of joy.
100k-150k??? Only????
Time to look for another job. Im sure your skills are worth more than 11.5k/mo na salary 🙂
Sakin nga 10k may kaltas pa sss philhealth pag ibig hahahaha
Oras na para mag change career. Hahahahah
Province rate ba 'to? Huhu
We all share the same sky but not the horizon
pano nalang yunh 13,000 monthly ko 🫣🥲🥲
hahaha putangina yung 10k monthly ko
8k here hahahah
Alam mong out of touch sa reality yung OP e
Diba?
Diba???? Lipat nalang tayo field😂
Magsimula kang mag-save ng pera for emergency. Travel.
What's MP2? Any suggestons sa franchise?
Pag-ibig mp2 you get your money after 5yrs. Not bad increase though! 🫶🏽
Dont franchise. Thats you funding the capex of big corporations. In the end you’ll earn a little less than their borrowing cost
Yes to MP2 better than keeping the money in the bank. The interest rate is also higher
Delegate muna syempre. What percent goes to where. Set goals. Build emergency fund. Multiple savings in different banks. Invest. Ako personally, I'll save to buy commercial lots or apartment buildings. Basta sa real estate ako mag-iinvest.
Agree!
Padala mo nalang sakin yung sobra mong pera. 😂😂😂
Eto talaga yuun ih Hhahahaa
Send deets
I'd get on my laptop, open my spreadsheet, and budget that bihh.

Might I ask also what your job is? If it's too private maybe you could dm it to me. :)
Ano pong nature ng work nyo? 😅
I'm a freelance copywriter!
How long have you been in this industry? Is 300k a solo-earning kind of work or do you outsource?
Hire an accountant and prepare for life post VAT
BUY LANDS, PROPERTIES, INVEST IN BUSINESSES, BUY STOCKS, SAVE, INSURANCE FOR YOU AND FAM. HINDI ARAW ARAW SUNDAY SO KAHIT PAPANO DAPAT PREPARED KA. CONGRATS PALAAAA. ✨✨
Sleep. Enjoy security
I(29F) will save 200k on first month. Yung remaining 100k hahatiin sa worth 30k groceries, 10k sa raw goods and foods, 35k sa bills (including yung advance payment sa Meralco if keri), 5k for parent's maintenance medicine, 5k sa bigas, then isstandby ang remaining 15k miscellaneous expenses. Umiiwas ako sa utang as much as possible, na trauma ako nung bata na ako yun taga bili at taga utang sa tindahan 🤣 Succeeding months, I will start saving at least 230k, remaining will be again budgeted for foods, bills, and gradual expenses sa improvement ng family home namin. ❤️
Pares. Upgrade ko ung view ng taong bayan. Mala-ramen na dapat
LORD GANTONG PROBLEMA LANG SANA 🥹😭 m
"who used to earn only 100k" sana all
magbayad ng tamang buwis
save money then buy a house and lot then gagawing apartment para maging permanent business.
nahiya naman sahod ko sayo. Congrats OP!
Invest sa real estate
Honestly, pay off ALL my debt. Congrats to you, OP!
Grabeng problema 'to, sana all hahahhaha
Paki bigay nalang sakin 'yung matitira kung namomroblema ka, kuya 😭😭😭 /j But jokes aside, I think investing a part of it might be rlly helpful!
I would buy a place to live for myself. Like, DP agad mam sir, let's fucking go, let me move the fuck in!!!
Save some of it after all dues are paid.
magjajakol
Sa 300k/month kakayanin na ang EU trip! After travel, start saving. Once may mga 5m ka na, you can purchase a lot in cash, build a house from scratch, and then sell it. Makaka build ka siguro ng magandang bahay with around 12 - 15m total budget and can sell it for 25 to 30m.
My goodness. What responsibilities does that entail and am I strong enough to handle them? Lmao. I'd pay off my debts for one. Part of me says I should get a rifle though, who knows what dangers come next
I don't have any debts!
First thing i would : kakaen sa mcdo mag-isa tpos may takeout pa hahahaha
Save half of the 300k every month. Wait until you reach a million, and start to invest that in the blue bank. They have a program that will let your money earn interest for you. Use the interest for your wants.
Wag mo itaas yung cost of living mo kahit ano pang itaas ng sahod mo. If you can make an expense or budget tracker better. Pwede ka rin kumuha ng book bank sa preferred mong bank to save and if ever my emergency situations at least may bubunutin ka.
bili ng pizza
Not earning as much as you do pero eto: \* EF -> always nag-iipon kahit na "enough" sya for me to stop working for a few months, targetting to reach 7-digits by December \* UITFs -> making use of BPI's RSP (regular subscription plan) where it deducts a standard rate of money over a period (I make mine monthly) since low-risk low-reward investment din sya pero nasa 10% gain na ako (though I started way before the pandemic pa kaya nasa 10% gain na sya) \* Other investments -> I mostly trade in PSE so puro REITs lang para stable dividents din \* Ipon ng pang-business (I'm targetting a franchise of a food cart but haven't decided which one yet since kulang pa yung naiipon) \* Ipon pang-special anniversary celebration with SO (trip abroad) \* Ipon pambili ng gadgets (targetting to buy S25 Ultra when it releases next year so ngayon pa lang napapag-ipunan ko na, 5-year old gaming mouse is already giving up so sinasagad ko na lang bago ako bumili ng bago)
😆Also, mp2 and US blue stocks were on my list the wedding part was very helpful haha I got married last year, paid all in cash and was truly a dream wedding! Couldn’t believe that I would be able to spend that much without any help from both parents.
Pay off all of my debts
Investment for savings, lalo na pang retirement plan. Prolly would look / study for the best country na maganda program for retired elders Remaining savings would be for me and my fam support na, esp for medical emergencies
Sana ganyan din problema ko.. hahaha! Happy for you OP!
Build your side income as this type of salary usually ends with leaving the company as not meeting the expected performance or health issues due to stress.. lol
If you don't mind, anong industry po ang work mo? Kung may 300k ako monthly, ppagawa ako ng apartment or study hub since maraming schools in our area.
Save, invest, insure, ubusin ang utang. Ikaw naman magpautang 😛
Aj1 dior 🤣
invest sa mga bagay na mapapakinabangan in the future.
I'd whack it, first and foremost, for the post-nut clarity
Iipon ako para macash yung house and lot
Save!!! Put in on your emergency fund. Syempre hindi lahat. Dont forget to pay yourself
What field are you in? Looking to switch fields if possible
travel! no brainer.
Yung totoo, bibilin ko muna dream bag ko. Hahaha! Then ipunin ko na ung susunod 🤣
ganyang problema ang gusto ko sa future
Magjakol, I need post nut clarity before I make my next move
Kidding aside kung nabuhay ka comfortable with P100k-P150k/mo for sure kaya mo yun i-maintain. Imagine may 150-200k ka saving monthly. Wag mo muna galawin until may sure ka ng avenue for investment, gaya ng sabe ng ilan dito MP2 would be the safest bet.
Always save! Mutual funds, investment, Forex, Crypto. Always live within your means. You will never know when you will need a big money e.g. emergency, etc. Also, travel as much as you can habang wala pang family but always save! :)
r/phinvest
Pay off every single debt our family has; credit card, loan, debt from family members. As in literal na debt-free. Everything else, pag-iipunan muna.
OH BOY. I will only dream of getting that salary in the PH. Pero ito naiisip ko: - Save half of it muna mostly in my digital banks for higher interest and add to Pag IBIG MP2 - Rent a condo near my work place - Buy and install aircon in my main house's bedroom / work room - get myself HMO if I dont have it from work If I keep earning this: - Renovate our 30+ yr home - Install aircon to other rooms - Think of ways to earn like a side hustle, start small para kung lugi di masakit - buy condo only for living or actual usage, not wise for "investment"
curious what industry u are in?
Kahit 100k-150k/month di ko makuha. Hayst sana ganyan din problema ko HAHAHHA Just kidding, pero OP if I were you, magsave talaga ako. Kasi ako di ko magawa now kasi nauuna talaga mga responsibilities ko and ending, wala na talagang natitira sa sahod ko. 🥲
Anu work mo
I recommend following the prime directive in the r/personalfinance subreddit. I don’t live in the ph but make pretty good money in the US in a remote role & this is what I follow. It has been extremely helpful for me and has helped me get to my current net worth. I’m projected to hit $1M in 7 years & $2.5M in 17 years (at 51 yo).
What do you do for a living?
Buy properties/real estate dito sa Metro Manila.
In my case I'd pay off all cash debts and if there are any loans that cant be paid due to terms, Id put the money in a bank that has a high interest rate. Get medical insurances especiallt for senior parents. If there is anything left Id split it in savings and Emergency Fund worth atleast 6mos. Remaining id spill to our business and one local travel destination.
invest in stocks that lets you take out the interest you earn from it. invest in bonds depending on your risk either short or long term. invest in gold (buy jewelry or gold bars) And if you are feeling business ventures research small food carts that are popular in the area and open up one if you have someone you can trust or hire, get a rider for lalamove or food delivery service and split the earnings airBnB on condos can be a hit or miss depending on the location research heavily if going this route. leisure and material item should be the lowest priority but must not be neglected as this is a way to reward yourself
kala ko nasa ibang subs ako 🥹
invest sa index funds
buy a rolex/luxury bag/etc. reward your self for this milestone!
Check if I'm awake.
Invest in mp2 / crypto
Would you consider donating to **Pawssion Project**? Hehehehe. They have plenty of rescues who need help. They are low on finances sometimes. If you have extra, baka naman po. So I can be with family more
Save and invest sa mga TD or REIT or even Pagibig Mp2. Just spend on what you need plus extra to splurge. Take note, money is king especially when there is an emergency. Maybe save at least two years worth of salary then consider investing in real estate as you mentioned but condo aint an investment unless you are planning to live at the condo.
If I have a 300k/month, I would…. - Pay off debts and restart my lifestyle into a super simple one 😭😭😇😇 - Save 75k monthly - Buy a beach lot for retirement + airbnb. Real estate is keyyyyy. - Isip pako chz. Congrats po.
Invest/ bahay lupa
Continue your job, build up your pot, invest, diversify, if you can reach 300k in passive earnings, pwede na siguro early retire.
if you pay all your debts 1. Emergency Fund - atleast 6 months of your expenses 2. put some on: - digital banks - mataas kasi yung interest compared traditional banks -traditional banks - for visa purposes lang lalo if need ng mga ADB -MP2 3. either you invest in stocks or properties (rental properties), it depends din if you are conservative or aggressive investor
Sana all nalang sa 300k 🥹 ako na 24k part-time instructor COS! 🫠🫠🫠
Kakain ng 2-pc chickenjoy meal, or BK whopper (NA HINDI NA JUNIOR! MUHAHAHAHA!) na upsized lahat!
Save 3/4
Wala. Just like before. Ganun parin. Kung di ka mahilig gumala, don't. You do not need to try everything, you will need the money sometime of your life. Save, invest, share, invest more.
Wala siguro mababago sakin hahahahahahaha Same expenses lang ako mapababa or laki sahod ko ehh though I invest most of my money on stocks currently and coop
Build your emergency fund and stay lowkey muna
Huhu anong work po yan
sanaol ganito problema. ano work mo OP? 😅
Pag-ibig MP2
save for yourself
Retain the expense / lifestyle before salary vamp and Pay all due and existing loans; Avail an Insurance policy if wala, Continuous pay if mayroon.
Investment Good luck and enjoy your hard-earned money!
OP, ano po work mo?
ano po work nyo?
Kailan kaya ako magkakaroon ng ganitong problema 🥲 btw try Investing it po, Stock Market or Real estate any investment po na you're willing to learn and research po.
Fuck that shit I’d spend every single shit on stuff that I want.
Lagay mo po sa bank account ko.
how old are you and what do you do for a living po?
Nasampal na naman ako ng kahirapan 🥲
WAG MO I BROADCAST SA PAMILYA MO RELATIVES. hahahaha ikaw kawawa hahaha. disclose mo mga 50k per month lng. trust me.
Diverse investments. Sana dumating din ako sa ganito🙏
Hahaha this is the kind of problem we all need.
Ano po work mo? Is it ok to ask? Hehe , VA ka po?
May I know what's your degree and field of work/industry? Thank you
Pay my loans
Keep living your life and stay healthy. Lifestyle creep is hard to avoid so make sure to set aside a fixed percentage for savings and investments. I hit an income milestone years ago but never really changed my lifestyle due to the gradual change. You are now a HENRY (High Earner Not Rich Yet).
Since pangarap ko magka bahay and mag put up ng farm, I'll buy lupa na good for farming and tayuan ng bahay ko. Then invest, make your emergency fund and retirement fund. 300k is a huge amount if hindi ka naman maluho.
Sana all po 🥹
ayan ang mapapa sana all.
(tapos may kokontra pero atleast daw may iiwan ka sa next generation - given naman na yan, pwede ka pa rin naman magiwan ng di mo ginugutom sarili mo) house over condo - yes, okay naman na ung input ng iba, un na un. hire someone to manage funds - sadly, maganda siyang thought, kaso kung mapapansin mo mga legit rich di naman kumukuha ng "financial planner" or "financial consultant/advisor/investor" sa Pilipinas. kuha ka narin ng personal HMO na better, saktuhang life insurance (hindi ito investment - just in case lang talaga madeads ka, may mapala ung iniwan mo) at St Peter's plan habang may pambayad ka pa.
most prolly medical insurance (im not sure sa tawag sori) or gawa emergency funds. im a nursing student and i kno definitely mahal ang medical bills, pero isang iglap lang mawawala ang pera sa ospital. having properties and assets are good, but i would see patients eventually selling them just to cover their medical bills, and for me nakakahinayang kase it could be passed down siguro, but since walang ipon or walang na-allot for medical emergencies, nawala ung pinaghirapan nila :< living as middle class citizen, natakot din ako sa realization ko na un na what if wala akong madudukot for a medical emergency? (im scared of death din) kaya upon that day, i took it upon myself na uunahin ko paglaanan ng pera duon pag nag-work ako.
Tanong lang anong industry or job yung ganitong kalaking salary?? Like grabee yung 100k/mo
I hope you don't mind me asking. Magkano ang net pay after taxes per month?
Invest in yourself. Go in a good gym. Get a good insurance. Travel. Get a mentor. Give back to your parents. Invest in knowledge. Know where to invest your money. All about leveling up. 500k next :)
GANITONG PROBLEM GUSTO KO PLS😭😭
Get an accountant / lawyer that specializes in Taxes, I want my finances legally organized
Wag taasan ang lifestyle. Invest.
I’m not going to post about it and ask strangers who don’t have the same privilege. Charot. Seriously though. I’ll make sure I can keep that income/job for the next 5 years. Pay my loans/installments if there’s any. Matik save the 50%, shoul go to long-term savings 10% goes to insurance 10% for 6 months goes to a small business (a small bar or canteen, small enough that I can manage on my free time) I lived comfortably with P75K monthly, so an additional P15K monthly will go to health and wellness - regular pilates, spa treatment, better food options (aminin nyo mahal ang kumain ng healthy food).
Buy gold and silver in the form of coins. Have your own gold reserves and just spend the silvers. For a business, I suggest a laundromat.
