Have you looked at other nearby parishes? www.masstimes.org is my preferred site for finding parishes, there are others (even just Google maps is usually pretty good about it). Maybe there's a university parish nearby (22 isn't that far out of range, especially places with a robust graduate school). Maybe there's a parish with a more vibrant young adult group 30-45 mins away. Find all the nearby parishes, go to their websites, and check out their bulletins for young adult groups.
You could try starting such a group at your parish. Daunting task, but there may be more young adults than you think there are.
You also could branch out a little past the 20s age set. See if there's a ministry/activity at your parish that you're interested in helping with and you may find some new friends who are just in their 40s instead of 22-26.
I used to attend CYA meetings (Catholic Young Adults) that my parish held. I found it earlier this year when the youth ministry coordinator had a stand at my college's club fair (you may want to check if your college has one, assuming you're in college). We met every 2 weeks. It was nice, but it died over the summer of this year after the person in charge left for another job. The person who took over only cares about LifeTeen (which I am starting to despise for various reasons). I am 23 and a few States away from NC, but if there is a genuine online Catholic community, I'd be interested in joining!
That's crazy! I remember the overnight retreats in high school were somewhat fun, but silly and immature. I guess that's just another reason to dislike it. It really tiptioes the line of being a Catholic In Name Only mass based on my observations...
Hey there. Welcome home! We're so happy to have you 💛. I'm 25, but I'm from California. I can always use more Catholic friends. 😊

Yeah the Life Teen stuff has a very bad history. Its founder is a laicized priest turned pastor who abused children.
