3 months. I allocate myself a games allowance of £5 per week I figure it’s less than a cup of coffee a day for things I enjoy so am happy to spend on games. I could afford more but there has to be a limit. I don’t only play cats and soup so it is shared. I got fed up watching ads so I purchased the second tier of ad free, that was probably my most expensive single spend on any game.

emmelinesx

Wait I’m so fed up with ads, I didn’t even know there was an option for ad free? I’ve only ever seen those ad tickets. How do you get that add free option?

cosinedLoan

There are in-app purchases available to upgrade the Ad Manager Sloth to three higher tiers, each allowing you a higher maximum number of skip tickets per day. The last tier unlocks unlimited ad skips. Tier 1 gives you 5 additional skip tickets per day. Tier 2 is Tier 1 plus 10 additional skip tickets per day. Tier 3 is unlimited ad skips. Going all the way to Tier 3 is not cheap, but so worth it if you play a lot; it becomes a totally different experience not having anything in the game gated by an ad. Some people don't play as much per day and Tier 1 or 2 works out to a good number of ad skips for them.

emmelinesx

Omg doing that right now. I’m so sick of ads, especially those weird “chose your princess wife” ones. Thanks for the help!

cosinedLoan

I bought all 3 tiers after two full days of play, having wasted so much time with ads loading and playing, even if some were while watching TV. Just based on the number of jar fairy bonuses I've collected, I've saved a minimum of 96 hours of ads, so the net cost is much less than $1/hr of play. I value my free time much more than that.

catmat490

None

mlongoria98

Honestly I don’t even want to check. It’s a lot.

anxnymous926

I’ve been playing for a few months and I haven’t spent any money

[deleted]

0$

LightValorWolf

I've managed to stay f2p so far, if everything was like 50-75% cheaper I'd definitely be buying stuff tho, so I'm lowkey glad it's all so expensive.

alette_star

None yet! But i'm planning on buying the umbrellas because i want to support the developers, it's cheap, and the umbrellas are cute as heck

[deleted]

Buy the ad free is literally 55 dollars lol

tujuhpuluhlima

I spent a lot probably over U$100, it’s those damn ads integrate into the game. Genius actually for them, and suckers for us players.

Successful-Part3388

A lot 😅

indogirl

Maybe about $80? The unlimited ad was the biggest purchase. Been playing for a month daily and it’s given me so much joy so I’d say it’s worth my every penny.

[deleted]

ive only bought the umbrellas cause i wanted my kitties to be safe and dry and also they were pretty cheap

TheSaltRose

Not a dime. Why would you?

zilchusername

Because you like the game and you want to support it? If nobody purchased anything there would be no game. I can understand not everyone can afford to spend on games but in the same token I don’t understand those with disposable income that can easily afford a few £ here and there don’t want to support something they like and enjoy.

Wooden_Bedroom_9106

You are already supporting them by watching the million ads gating everything. And tbh, I would by some things but the prices are insane. Especially compared to other mobile games I've played in the past. ~50€ to get rid of ads? ~30€ for a building that effectively doesn't even do that much (+50% BBQ is nice but won't change much in the long term), etc. In e.g. CoC (yeah... kiddy game, whatever) you get a shit ton for just 5€.

zilchusername

I don’t think game developers get much revenue from individual ads but you are right it adds up over everyone playing. I agree those items you mentioned are very expensive I wasn’t referring to those more the less than £5 deals you can buy in events, currently there are 500 gems for 89p that’s decent value.

bladehrf

$0.99

cosinedLoan

Since December, and averaging the cost of a bubble tea drink per week.

fessuoyfessouy

$20. Been playing for 3 months.

Specialist_Aya

I got in shortly after it started, so it's been several months. I'd say about $40, max, so under $10/month.

[deleted]

I have spent $2 lol. If I was rich I would buy all the upgrades, I love cats & soup. I need a cats & soup sugar daddy.

Snowblind1991

Half a year. Probably near 50$.

elwyn5150

$0

European_Bitch

$0 I've been playing for a month. At the moment I don't plan on ever putting money into the game (personal choice, I don't mind those who do)

[deleted]

Just the umbrellas

FallonKristerson

None and I have been playing for 8 months.

Lilpeepers10782

i started in february i think and i’ve spent around $20

swanbroqlol

A few weeks i am a f2p player though i watch reward ads

Ssuil7

$1 on 20 ad tickets lol; i’ve been playing since May 2023
