The way I see it, if a character isn't supposed to know your thoughts, you don't write them out. No inner monologue, no narration, just your words and actions for them to go off of. It is when a bond is strong enough, that these inner thoughts are supposed to be something the character would be able to guess. You can communicate disgust without typing out "Ugh, they're so gross...", you can always say "{{User}} looked {{Char}} up and down, and winced, their nose scrunching up, and their eyes narrowing, as if they got a whiff of something rotten.", or something.
There's also somehow they get a reaction when you say something in a different language that they're not supposed to know, and ask "What did you just say?"
When I establish there’s a secret the character doesn’t know yet, because I want to steer the story in that direction, but they reply to the narration like “What? I didn’t know you were _”.
Maybe don't write what you're thinking? Like, actually think? If you don't want them reacting to it don't type. Instead of writing what you're thinking, write what your chara is showing, in that case (I suppose) nothing, write that you're just standing silently or something, looking to side, etc. Then they'll react accordingly..
Or they respond to your narration

you have to write your thoughts in two \*\*my thoughts: “thoughts”. finished thinking\*\* sometimes it helped me
