Everyone talks about the well known one in WEH. Don't get me wrong. I was crying too. But absolutely no one ever mentions >!Gracie!<. That one absolutely wrecked me
I didn't cry but I was surprised and sad when >! Mcs sister gets bitten and left behind!< in wake the dead. And if memory serves, you can't save her at the end either. And the special scene you can unlock with choices is just a flashback of them but doesn't really add anything to the story.
With Every Heartbeat sold the fuck outta me😭 like wtffff. I can’t go back to re-read it but thankfully I invested gems in this story.
![gif](giphy|d2lcHJTG5Tscg)
The ending of MaH destroyed me🥲 I read it directly after a close personal loss. Now even though it’s top 3 for me, I have a lot of issues getting through the ending bc it really tears me up to read it.
I cried on those ones too. The first time when I read it was really painful...especially Endless Summer...it really hurt when chosing the >!Vaanu ending
I had just been diagnosed with preE and given birth to my baby at 29 weeks because of my diagnosis because we almost both died and then read that book… I couldn’t get through it. I was inconsolable. 😭😭
With Every Heartbeat made me SOB. No other Choices book has come close. But because I’m an idiot, I resumed my reread of Open Heart book 2 an hour after I finished WEH, and continued to cry when I got to >!the maitotoxin attack!<.
Besides that, I also cried at that part of Endless Summer book 3. Bloodbound book 3 had me tearing up, but I didn’t fully cry.
Open heart was one of the earliest books I read. I teared up when we got to know the grandma died happily knowing she finally had what she longed for🥲 It was not just that scene, it's the whole philosophy behind it. Taught me a lesson I will never forget!
There’s many, Endless Summer, It Lives In The Woods, With Every Heartbeat, Distant Shores (I miss my Charlie), Mother of The Year, the Royal Finale, The Cursed Heart 1, Hero (Ending), Haunting of Braidwood Manor, Bloodbound 2 (you know the Scene). Although the saddest book for me is between DS and WEH, I’ll rarely reread it because it’s too much.
The ending of distant shores makes me sad to this day, I keep thinking how they could have left that ending?Endless summer was what I cried the most. I cried terribly.Mother of the Year I was indignant most of the time and to this day I think Guy was the worst character and villain in all the stories I've ever played. Some emotional moments really caught me.
Yeah, the end of Endless Summer.
Also, that absolutely gorgeous line at the end of The Cursed Heart, the whole "wherever it is that souls go, you will find mine waiting for you there, at the end of all things."
Ugh. Kill me now.
*"I'm giving back the energy to Vaanu"* had me crying for days.
Same goes for DS, WEH, and BB. Book 3's ending in particular shattered me when >!Lily sacrificed herself for the MC. Her death was so senseless, she literally had life at her fingertips, still had so much to explore, and was supposed to be in MC's corner for a lifetime. Her death pissed me off so much I wanted to tear Rheya's head off myself, and felt the ending bittersweet!<
The whole last chapter of Endless Summer. Specifically the >!Vaanu ending!<, but also the premium scene where you can >!view the Endless's memories from alternate timelines!<. A whole emotional rollercoaster in one scene, probably my favourite premium scene of all time.
Also, With Every Heartbeat ending, and when >!Lily died!< in Bloodbound.
It Lives In The Woods. I chose to sacrifice my MC and the way everyone reacted to their death, especially the LI... It hurt. I think that's the only book I've ever cried over. I refuse to play With Every Heartbeat, and only finished Endless Summer recently (did not choose the vannu ending).

Endless Summer here too. It's heartbreaking.
And Sunkissed from a personal angle rather than it being a sad book. I had just lost my dad when that came out so there were parts of that book that just made me so damn sad.
WEH. Like...they pretty much spoiled the ending from the TW in the first chapter but it still hit me like a truck.
Grace's Ember of Hope in ES3, when Michelle defends Grace after how Blaire treats Grace. "Don't let the ties that bind you become the ties that break you" hit so hard as the daughter of an abusive, narcissist father.
When >!Dom's hawk!< is brutally killed in TC&TF.
I haven’t read it but I know do a fact it’s WEH, I can’t read it cause I’m a hopeless romantic and I know I will never recover from it 😩
But my personal one: I’ve cried at the ending of DS many times, it breaks my heart to know what happened to our LI on their final days :(
*SPOILERS FOR 'IT LIVES BENEATH'*
I played the bad route for "It lives beneath', and I cried when the little brother kept trying to call and text the MC to ask where they were, but the MC drowned in the lake and never came back up, and the story just ends there... 😥
I didn’t cry during the Vaanu ending of Endless Summer. I’d seen enough about the book on fan communities at that point that I’d been spoiled for the three endings (I played it during pandemic lockdown). No, I cried during >!the handfasting, because I knew my MC and Quinn would have very little happy time together before the end came. And no, I didn’t even consider the other endings. Vaanu felt, to me, like the right thing to do.!<
The other book where I cried a flood of tears was Bloodbound, where, in my playthrough, >!Lily died. That scene was just brutal.!<
Finding out >!Danny Died!< in OH2 actually destroyed me. Like I sat in shock for about five minutes while I teared up. And we just… moved on. I’m still not over it, PB fucked >!him!< over bad…
honestly bloodbound ending made me so sad, i got so attached to everyone in that story. i loved that entire series. haven’t gotten to read the newest VIP story of it tho :(
I’ve felt very emotional during some of the scenes mentioned above, but I’ve never actually cried except when reading WEH. And that is a shoulder-shaking sob fest. I reread it when I need to cry, but it’s so rare bc it’s so hard. The fact that WE KNOW what is gonna happen the whole time and IT STILL had me in tears is insane.
Definitely Endless Summer.
I tried it on a whim. Really didn't think I'd like it then to get to the end and >! watching my MC fall in love with Estella over and over and then having to leave her at the end. And then watching over her and hearing the phone message!<. . . it BROKE me.
Literally went from indifferent casual to obsessively invested and complete heartbreak 😂😭🥹
The first time I played The Freshman I boohooed when James broke up with me lmaoooo but I really cry every time I read that chapter from Open Heart with the poisoning situation! Why was that so well written and emotional, I’m tearing up thinking about it 😭😮💨
With every heart beat and endless summer. In endless summer I was having PMS one morning when I played the last chapter. I cried ugly and I still feel touched by the ending I chose.
We don't talk about With Every Heartbeat
“Teach” Sobs uncontrollably
Why would you say that 😭😭😭
The scene when s/he died, was when I realised that these events already happened. Uncontrollable tears
I had to do some emergency head cannoning, still not over it
i was just about to comment this
Yep that’s the one..
Everyone talks about the well known one in WEH. Don't get me wrong. I was crying too. But absolutely no one ever mentions >!Gracie!<. That one absolutely wrecked me
Hands down the only one that applies for me.
I didn't cry but I was surprised and sad when >! Mcs sister gets bitten and left behind!< in wake the dead. And if memory serves, you can't save her at the end either. And the special scene you can unlock with choices is just a flashback of them but doesn't really add anything to the story.
The special scene explains why the sister appears later and isn’t food for the zombies.
Yeah...but it still a sad scene to read
The Vaanu ending of Endless Summer. That makes me bawl so bad. 😭
Yes! I cried a lot while the recording was playing in the final scene.
Was it the final scene when >!she visits Perdita's(sister) grave and she talks with the imaginary version!< Yeah that stung me too
(your end spoiler tag is the wrong way round)
That spoiler didn’t work
Thanks
I cried on those ones too. The first time when I read it was really painful...especially Endless Summer...it really hurt when chosing the >!Vaanu ending
Those chapters in OH. IYKYK.
I sobbed for about half an hour, not exaggerating.
I don't blame you. It really is some powerful writing. >!'He meets your eyes. They're as warm and kind as the day you met.'!< 😭😭😭
That book got me so many times
I had just been diagnosed with preE and given birth to my baby at 29 weeks because of my diagnosis because we almost both died and then read that book… I couldn’t get through it. I was inconsolable. 😭😭
I put my phone down and literally sobbed into my hands for a few minutes 😩
With Every Heartbeat made me SOB. No other Choices book has come close. The scene in Bloodbound book 3 >!where you can see the MC’s friends after her death!<
I cried during the >!dads death scene!< in D&D we were robbed and of more time with him
So real. I felt that pain in my chest
Open heart was one of the earliest books I read. I teared up when we got to know the grandma died happily knowing she finally had what she longed for🥲 It was not just that scene, it's the whole philosophy behind it. Taught me a lesson I will never forget!

Which scene in BB2?
Oh the part where we’re dying from being stabbed and our LI is holding us.

The scene where >!MC breaks the beast's curse by loving it!< also had me tearing up a little because the dialogue was so poetic and beautiful
Endless Summer ending with Jake as LI
*"I'm giving back the energy to Vaanu"* had me crying for days. Same goes for DS, WEH, and BB. Book 3's ending in particular shattered me when >!Lily sacrificed herself for the MC. At the end of The freshman series, i couldn't believe this is really it 😭

A whole emotional rollercoaster in one scene, probably my favourite premium scene of all time. Also, With Every Heartbeat ending, and when >!Lily died!< in Bloodbound.
Oh yes. I forgot that part! I couldn’t pick between them and then I picked the same as you and I bawled. It was awful.
Endless Summer - I cried HARD at the Vanuu ending. My husband still talks about the breakdown I had - it was awesome. Such a good book.

Wake the Dead, 100%!

"Don't let the ties that bind you become the ties that break you" hit so hard as the daughter of an abusive, narcissist father. When >!Dom's hawk!< is brutally killed in TC&TF.
I haven't cried through any of them but the one that actually made feel sad is with every heartbeat.
DS. Charlie's pathway broke me
ES cuz vaanu ending and weh cuz ofc
Endless Summer
I haven’t read it but I know do a fact it’s WEH, I can’t read it cause I’m a hopeless romantic and I know I will never recover from it 😩 But my personal one: I’ve cried at the ending of DS many times, it breaks my heart to know what happened to our LI on their final days :(
With Every Heartbeat 🥲
*SPOILERS FOR 'IT LIVES BENEATH'* I played the bad route for "It lives beneath', and I cried when the little brother kept trying to call and text the MC to ask where they were, but the MC drowned in the lake and never came back up, and the story just ends there... 😥
With Every Heartbeat. I swore to myself that I won’t be playing that book again. I was so heartbroken after that. 💔
I didn’t cry during the Vaanu ending of Endless Summer. It Lives In The Woods and Wake The Dead.
Endless summer, for so much of books 2 and 3
ilitw and weh 🥲
The endless summer ending got me crying so bad
Finding out >!Danny Died!< in OH2 actually destroyed me. Like I sat in shock for about five minutes while I teared up. And we just… moved on. I’m still not over it, PB fucked >!him!< over bad…
honestly bloodbound ending made me so sad, i got so attached to everyone in that story. i loved that entire series. haven’t gotten to read the newest VIP story of it tho :(
To me in Desire and Decorum father's funeral chapter. It is still very emotional for me
I get upset during the royal romance 2, and the royal heir 3. both books make me sad. Well, RR2 makes me smad.
I haven't read many, but the saddest will most likely be bloodbound book 2 because of...reasons
Endless Summer Book 3, and With Every Heartbeat
with every heartbeat for sure, but I also sobbed in the last chapters of BOLAS 2 for some reason
Spoiler for the Senior. I teared up a little during the break up with the LI. (I say in refuses-to-hurt-my-feelings-by-reading-WEH)
Bloodbound in the flashback where >!Rheya kills her daughter without realizing !< and then when you tell her.
Yes, Bloodbound 3, Endless Summer 3, With Every Heartbeat, The Phantom Agent.
I have a feeling my answer will be the original one😅 CH and RoD
Definitely Endless Summer. I tried it on a whim. everytime I read WEH WITHOUT FAIL I am left fucking sobbing my eyes out
