Are you kidding?? Only one of those is turning heads and making you feel like a kid every time you drive it. But, if it’s my ONLY car? I’d probably want the 23.

momoru

As a former 87 Civic Si owner it’s triggering to refer to the CRX as a civic ;) Get both!

Fun-Jackfruit-7308

As a 91 CRX owner I have to agree, on both points!

dangerousperson123

Shiiiiit that crx was nice

rapalosaur

Fuuuukkkkk an 89? That’s my birth year and I’ve always wanted one to wrench on. All the ones near my are either beat to shit and priced sky high or in great condition and prices sky-er higher. Maybe one day.

1_misunderstood_man

I'm looking to sell mine, where ya located ?

rapalosaur

Texas where are you located?

1_misunderstood_man

South carolina near the Georgia border

rapalosaur

Got it listed anywhere I can see photos?

mattortz

Old 100%

gtwicee

Old. New Honda’s feel like every other turbo 4 cylinder out there these days. The older motors that rev to the sky are the way to go.

picklebiscut69

Absolutely, I test drove a new Honda a couple months ago and it felt like a Chevy Cruz, and I hate the Chevy Cruz. Old Hondas feel like go karts and that’s the way they should feel

Euphoric_Rice8252

Old one, easy

Window638

I think the best ones are in an in-between. I’m not a fan of the Prius-looking glass in the rear under the spoiler, but I love the vibe of older cars. For both performance and looks, my favorite is the 9th gen. 2012 is still relatively new, but that’s now a 12 year old design. It’ll be considered old soon 🤷‍♂️

KeepinitPG13

Old all day!

Opposite-Control8682

Vtec

bbull412

The crx should be brought back a the new type R

Expensive_You_5448

I rather have that crx!

StringGlittering7692

I just think the new one is far too big

Cool-Owl9437

CRX-si it is.

beanyratboy

Old

BRICKALEGO

You can probably maintain the old one much better than that of the newer ones.....and drive it longer.

BatEmbarrassed712

Crx is the best

southernarson

Old

devi8r

Both is the only answer imho

MaximumDerpification

only one of these is a Civic Si

Kanjo-Kaiju

"Civic Renaissance Experimental," and it was marketed as the Civic CRX, so technically still a Civic.

MaximumDerpification

Yeah, but the Civic Si was a different car

Kanjo-Kaiju

The Si is only a trim level. just like all Civics, They come in multiple trims: DX, LX, EX, Si, SiR, etc..... still a civic tho ..... i believe in 89' the civic hatch didnt have an si varient only the crx did

MaximumDerpification

There absolutely was a non-CRX Civic Si hatch in 89.

Kanjo-Kaiju

I stand corrected; there was an '89 Civic Si hatch...

almeida8x1

I’d definitely go old. New cars ain’t cheap and I really don’t like the bells and whistles they have. If size is a concern, a beater SUV + CRX would be cheaper than a single new car and would be more practical.

SectionMaximum8167

God that Crx is so cute

Maryr_32

My first ex had a 1988 CRX. It was white and I loved that car. However, now I have a 2014 SI and it is freaking amazing.

TurbulentKey8085

I had an 88 CRX SI in good old Barbados Yellow. Got stolen 3 weeks after I paid it off. I miss that car to this day. So yeah I'd go with the old SI.

pepe_roni69

That’s not a civic si. Civic si is a different hatchback. There is no new civic si that compares to the old one, because Honda is too cheap to manufacture it. The 88-91 civic sedan is a more appropriate comparison

FH3onPC

Y49 too, damn. Should’ve kept it.

TheyGoBang

Old one always

Unlucky_Cigarette

I used to work at taco bell with a guy that had one when I was in high school and I thought he was the coolest guy in the world sooo

TheMatrixMachine

That CRX is beautiful and a classic

HigherFunctioning

Why doesn't Honda just release a CRX with the old school body style with just upgraded internals and interior to match todays standards? That's what people want anyway. I had a CRX back in the day and the only thing that makes me loose interest in it is the interior and maybe the engine. I want everything else. The CIVICS released after 2016 are not impressive to me. I don't care for the body style even though they have toned down the laster model bumpers and front end. I miss the old civics/CRX hands down. That's just me. Curious if anyone else feels the same.

Mediocre-GUY-976

New

Forward-Trade5306

Old one for sure. Gen11 civic looks like hot garbage

Leather_Anywhere_549

The new civic si has absolutely 0 personality compared to all the generations before it

Kanjo-Kaiju

That's most cars nowadays compared to their 80s/90s/early 2000s versions... TBH, the cool car days are long gone.

villamafia

If I wasn’t the age I am I would get the old one, it for me new all the way. I don’t have the time or inclination to wrench on a 25 year old car at this point.

Maryr_32

35/36 years old. And I’m glad I’m not the only one who does that with time. It goes so fast.

EfficientSurround963

Brah is this honestly even a question? Cmon now playa🤣😅

justazombie69

In my opinion the current civic si is a perfect car. The CRX Si is also an incredible but very different experience. Daily the civic and find a CRX to weekend. I think that’s a great combo. The Honda Beat would be a dream weekend car for me.
