I have an old house with no closets. I got an antique wardrobe off craigslist that I use as my utility closet. Lined the bottom with contact paper and drilled a hole in the back so I can run power to charge my stick vac. Looks cute in my entranceway.

_skank_hunt42

I have a similar setup in an old IKEA cabinet in my kitchen except I couldn’t fit my stick vacuum inside it so it’s mounted on the wall right next to the cabinet.

carlitospig

Y’all are making me want to reorganize *everything*.

EvilNeverDies

https://preview.redd.it/eaa2z8piykoc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de4b369373ee98d816bb2749f9f9e7cf00f213f6 I also have the ikea pax closet to store my cleaning stuff in. It’s not organized at all but I can shut the door and it’s out of sight. The shelves pull out too so you can easily grab the things you shoved in the back. They have different sizes too. I have a bigger one to organize all of our shoes

_skank_hunt42

Yes! That’s very similar to what I have. I think my cabinet is an old Brimnes but I love their Pax line and that’s what I would choose if I was to buy a new cabinet today.

theWanderingShrew

Is the space tall enough to fit a broom and mop?

EvilNeverDies

Yes, I have an o cedar mop shown in the pic. You can also adjust the shelves to fit your needs

carlitospig

Omg how classy! 😳I wanna see it.

Kliz76

I also live in an old house with no closets on my 1st floor. I keep mop etc. on hanging hooks along the wall in the stairwell to the basement and buckets, etc go in the basement. We have an old TV entertainment center from the days of big TVs that we converted to a coat closet.

No-Vermicelli3787

I have basement stairs right off of my washer/dryer area. I’m going to do this!!

Muddy_Wafer

I don’t have basement stairs, only a trap door to a crawl space, otherwise I would have used that spot too.

This_Girls_Journey

That's such a great idea. I need to think of a place on where to keep the utility closet though.

headlesschooken

If you're into trying some weekend DIY and it works with your limited space, you might like this idea. It's pretty much a wall mounted frame made from 2x4s, doors/shelves/hooks as required and painted/decorated however you want it to be. I love small space ideas and there's plenty of blogs with similar designs, like this one has free instructions you can mod to suit your space/needs - [https://www.shanty-2-chic.com/diy-utility-storage-cabinet/](https://www.shanty-2-chic.com/diy-utility-storage-cabinet/) I have a small apartment with a shallow space behind my front door where the power board is and plan on doing this exact project for by cleaning stash. I'm thinking of using an IKEA mirrored wardrobe door and building the frame & internals to suit. Also, there's also a site called apartment therapy that has good ideas for small spaces.

This_Girls_Journey

That is soooo cool. I think I have the space for it, this is something that seems doable. Thanks for your response and adding the link

headlesschooken

Glad to have given some inspiration!

Plenty-Run-9575

That’s such a good idea!

forest_fae98

Mf genius here guys 🤯

ReasonableCheesecake

Ooh that's smart!

StrawberryKiss2559

That’s brilliant omg

miaomeowmixalot

Omg love this idea!!

CannedAm

On the wall going down the stairs for the basement. My MIL keeps them in the large walk in closet they use as a pantry.

NationalFoundation8

We also use the stairway wall to the basement. We have hooks hung and can keep a decent amount of things there within quick reach

NeverEndingCoralMaze

Same. Basement stairway.

North_Ad3531

Basement stairway as well

This_Girls_Journey

Hmn........I need to think about that place and see if I can fit anything there. Thanks for the suggestion.

[deleted]

https://preview.redd.it/4vba1zydpjoc1.jpeg?width=1128&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=662af006f19fb57742ce594b5cf0c07a0188d862 I nailed up a peg board and bought some interchangeable hooks. Btw: I nixed the mop and bucket and just use rags on my feet on the floor. Like iceskating lol

This_Girls_Journey

Thank you so much for sharing a picture, it helps.

pisspot718

I did pegboard on half of one of my closets and it's been great, but I don't hang the mop and broom there. Mine I use for extension cords, yardsticks, jars of screws, umbrellas etc.

Breakfastchocolate

Command hooks make broom gripper things.

saintpotato

Those are extremely useful! Been using them for years with great success. My mom introduced me to them years ago haha. :)

Seachelle13o

This! I have a section of my large walk in pantry that I use as a utility closet

whatdoidonowdamnit

In the kitchen between the stove and the fridge. I also have an O’Cedar mop bucket and I have a big broom and the little one with the dustpan. My vacuum cleaner is also in the kitchen but in a corner next to my shopping cart.

This_Girls_Journey

Unfortunately, my fridge is just fit with a may be an inch gap at all sides and I can't fit anything there. Thanks for your response.

carissaluvsya

Mine stay in a the 6ish inch gap between my dryer and the wall in my laundry closet. I have the same mop bucket and it stays in my garage and I hate it. I also have a Tineco which needs to be plugged in so it’s in a corner of my living room, which I also hate, but can’t really thing of anywhere else. I want my next house to have a utility closet with a plug INSIDE the closet for all of my things that need to charge like the Tineco and my cordless vacuums.

This_Girls_Journey

The plug inside the utility closet is a brilliant idea. Mine laundry is in the basement. There is ample space there, but just not practical for me to have the brooms, mops to store there. Also, I need to google what is a Tineco. Thanks for your response.

MichelleEllyn

Tineco makes electric mops. Once you get one, it’s hard to go back!

OkEnvironment3219

I’d love one but my impression is they’re practically disposable, can’t expect to keep or properly keep or maintain one for too long

jolietfake

Could you get one of those broom/mop holders and put it on the inside of the door to the basement or on the wall down to the basement. Then you wouldn’t need to go all the way down just reach in. Depending on how much traffic that stairway gets you could leave the bucket on one of the stairs too. And on laundry day just move the bucket so you don’t trip.

Kitty_Katty_Kit

I keep my broom in the tiny space between my fridge and wall, I take the top off my mop and keep the stick in my water heater/AC handler closet (650 sq ft condo) and keep my mop bucket/head in the bottom of my closet

This_Girls_Journey

Unfortunately, my fridge is just fit with a may be an inch gap at all sides and I can't fit anything there. I like the idea of taking the top off mop and storing the stick and head separately. I might be able to find some space for that. Thanks for your response.

[deleted]

Garage or laundry room. You can even get a thing to hang brooms and mops on backs of doors if you’re super limited in space. Bucket can go under a sink

mamapapapuppa

Yep, we hang stuff on wall in garage and basement.

StrixNStones

Same

Elegant-Pressure-290

I keep them in the garage, but right next to the door to the kitchen. My vacuum, rug shampooer, broom and dustpan, and OCedar mop live there.

This_Girls_Journey

I love this. My problem was my mop and bucket was at the farthest corner in the garage from the kitchen door. I like the idea of having them close to the kitchen door, so that I won't be as lazy getting it (previously walking around the car in the tight space, squeezing through shelves and all )

pisspot718

Sounds like you just need to do a tiny bit of re-organization for convenience

Fit-Echidna276

I use Command Wall mounted holders for my broom and swiffer and have it inside the coat closet for my small apartment space.

reddskeleton

Please no judging: I’m such a freak for this stuff, I’m dying to see pics.

Haughty_n_Disdainful

[Aspiron Bagless hepa canister vac](https://www.aspiron.co/products/aspiron®-1200w-lightweight-bagless-vacuum-cleaner-ca006-3-7qt-capacity-2023?gad_source=4&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8rXH2un2hAMVCjKtBh0RGwMaEAQYAiABEgI94vD_BwE) it weighs ***16 pounds***. I bought this unit for its weight, price and features. This is a very lightweight, flexible and powerful canister vacuum. I use it for porcelain tile that looks like hardwood flooring. It cleans baseboards with a dust attachment, great for stairs, very dusty and webby spots. Has upholstery and small scrubber attachment. When done, because this unit is more compact and lightweight, it easier to disassemble after use. Floor attachment easily slides off. Hose is quickly and easily detached, pushed together and hung on top of a small garden hose looped on a holder on the wall. The canister vac has a long cord - that quickly and *automatically* rolls back inside the unit. The chassis is made to stand on its back end, to help reduce floor footprint space. It is super quiet, power is very adjustable (big knob dials low to high), and does a great job. $100 is not going to break my bank, and I won’t repair it when it fails in a few years. Found that this vacuum has pretty much made my broom and dustpan obsolete, so has saved me even more room.

Electronic-Soft-221

I live in an apartment and only have two closets - one by the entry, and one in my bedroom. I'm lucky that the entry one is a decent size - not BIG of course but two doors wide as opposed to the typical tiny coat closet. To maximize the space, I put a wire shelving unit inside with the bottom shelf set high enough that I can fit my utility wagon (folded), vacuum, and carpet cleaner mostly under there. There's enough space to the left of the shelf to stick tall things like my oxo swiffer. That's also where I hang less-used coats (I also have a wall coat rack). I mostly have carpets so I don't have to deal with a mop and bucket, and I have a small covered patio where I "store" my broom haha. That's the only place I sweep! On the other shelves in this closet I have baskets for cleaning supplies that don't already live under the kitchen or bathroom sinks - like a dustpan - basic tools, power drill, and dog stuff.

This_Girls_Journey

I like this idea. But, my closet is already filled with coats and shoes, kids hats, mittens etc. May be I can think of adding a lower shelf and then store the cleaning stuff horizontally under that

S2Sallie

I have a space between my fridge & wall where I keep everything so they aren’t visible.

carlitospig

Smooshed between the fridge and the wall, as the kitchen gods have demanded of me since I was a child. Also, I don’t have a mop bucket, which makes things much easier. Edit: oh! But I have my vacuum in the hall closet. Because it’s in the hall closet I never seem to use it - instead I use a hand vac. Have you ever tried cleaning a throw rug with a hang vac? I don’t suggest it. 😆

kaklyntech

We decided to use a small piece of hallway that wasn't totally necessary. There's another way to get to the rooms.  So we put tension curtain rods up with pretty, opaque, thick curtains on two sides of a part of the hallway to conceal it. We use that area for the mop, mop bucket, and a shelf of cleaning supplies, amongst other things. It does the job. People have complimented it. Behind the curtain, on one side, I also placed a folding room divider that I can easily open and close because I wanted to physically block it off.

somanytochoose

I keep mine in my hall closet, with my jackets.

mrsredfast

I have an unfinished laundry area in our basement (walls are studs and insulation) that has w/d, freezer, furnace, water heater. Mop and bucket are between dryer and wall. Broom is in garage off kitchen for easy access.

red352dock

If you can spring it, use the space under your cabinets to install a pull out drawer. Would require some carpentry.

Nice_Dragon

I keep mine in the laundry room. If that’s not feasible, I would keep everything inside the garage if your garage is attached to the house.

Desperate_Set_7708

There are those lightweight steel frame and canvas shoe storage containers, zip front conceals everything. Cut the “shelves” with scissors and you’ll have room for long items.

Breakfastchocolate

Hidden under the dining room curtain 🤫 Look up decorative broom/mop covers/dolls … 1980s wrapped the stick in ribbons and made a skirt/apron/-animal cover LOL

BuildingMyEmpireMN

We live in a very small, very old duplex unit. It’s bursting at the seams with people and possessions because the way they built homes 120 years ago didn’t account for the amount of stuff a family of 4 has today. We have one “walk in” closet with shelves across from the bathroom. I imagine it was supposed to be a linen closet. It’s only about as wide as a doorway and about 6’ deep. It took awhile for me to figure out how to utilize this without wasting the space. 24”deep shelves in the very back. Labeled bins make this a pantry. That left is 4’ of “walk in” space. One side has cost hooks for our spin mop, broom, deck brush, and dust mop. The other wall has shallow wire shelves that are used for spices, unopened sauces, and cleaning supplies. There’s another tiny shelf high-up where we keep nonprescription meds.  I’ve learned a lot while finding storage solutions! It can get SO expensive and time consuming though. If I had the layout for it, I would have rather waited for a wardrobe or other large, tall storage furniture piece to be available on the used market. I’ve spent so much on little solutions over the years.

MinerAlum

Bathroom. Only place for it unfortunately.

Charlies_Mamma

I also keep my mop and bucket in the downstairs bathroom. And the vacuum sits in the hall downstairs or in whichever room was last cleaned! haha It technically should get put away in a larger cupboard upstairs, but we have to take it apart - it's a Henry and the hose has to come off the base, the poles need to be taken apart and all tucked away, which just takes too long when I need to use it again a few days later! I am in the UK and have no garage, no basement, no utility room (laundry room/mud room) so I have no actual storage for bigger cleaning things or even tools. I have gardening tools in a plastic tub in my spare bedroom - they are cleaned off so they don't smell, etc, but it is still crazy to see a strimmer and various clippers upstairs in the house.

CuriousPenguinSocks

It might help us help you more with at least a diagram of the house layout? I'm a visual person myself. I have that same mop and stupidly huge bucket but it mops so well lol. I put the bucket under the sink in my powder room and the mop is hung up using those command products to hang up mops and brooms. We could put the bucket on the floor in the pantry too but I don't like that with our current set up.

conditerite

i have a sort of extra space a room at the back of my apartment where if i had a reasonable landlord laundry machines would belong. that's where all such crap accumulates. sort of like a garage without the space to park a car. i try to keep those things in order but they are always a hectic mess.

eukomos

Broom and dustpan in the niche between the fridge and wall, mop and bucket in the laundry room. I don’t mop as often, you can probably tell.

This_Girls_Journey

Looks like everyone has space between fridge and wall except me, lol !!! I am thinking to not be too lazy and actually get the mop from the garagr.

PaplooThePirate

You're not alone in this - I don't have that space either. I'm really glad you asked the question though because I'm in the same situation and want to hide these tools as well!

just-another-cat

Mine is in the laundry room

Slight_Commission805

Keep ours in the garage which is connected next to our kitchen.

toomuchisjustenough

In the laundry room off the kitchen.

DancingMaenad

We have a spot in the kitchen between a couple rolling racks, where the trash sits. The broom/mop (I use a 2in1 combo) and dustpan live behind the trash can in that nook. It's not great but it works. We are soon upgrading our kitchen cabinets and I will install a small cabinet in that area for the trash and broom to live in.

CharmainKB

My house has a basement (I don't put it down there because: lazy) but the stairs to the basement has a small landing, so I have my mop, broom and dust pan hang on the wall and the bucket underneath

KangarooNo1007

I live in an 800sqft 1:1. Broom and dustpan are only used for my small kitty litter room - which is actually my laundry room (don’t own a washer/dryer). My cordless vacuum lives on my staircase landing plugged into the wall because the battery sucks. My o cedar mop and bucket live in my bathroom leaning against a wall. I got stuff all over the place, but it works for now. Nothing is stored in the garage because it’s downstairs and my whole living space is upstairs

AZ-FWB

Mines are in my laundry room between the water heater and the washer!!

LtFatBelly

I installed a metal hook system made for hanging brooms and mops, I think it got it at Target. It’s on a very small section of wall in my laundry room behind a door. It holds my broom and dustpan, microfiber dust mop, and Swiffer Wet Jet. It keeps everything flat against the wall which is important for when the door opens. I also hang the O’Cedar mop on this but the garage is the only place to keep the bucket. But it helps that we have an attached garage and I keep the bucket right around the corner from the door so it’s easy to grab.

humans_rare

We keep the mop bucket in the closet, but the mop itself, broom and swiffer live next to the fridge. There's a small space between the wall and the fridge.

BeerWench13TheOrig

The only mop and bucket we have is for spills in the garage, so it stays in the garage. I’m surprised how many people still use a mop and bucket. I haven’t used those indoors since 2005.

InkdScorpio

Mine are in the garage right next to the door going into the house.

This_Lynx9701

We keep all of our stuff in a corner of our laundry room.

Sledgehammer925

My garage is attached, so I keep them on hooks hing by the interest garage door. It’s just an arms reach out of the laundry room.

[deleted]

I've been trying to find an idea for this too! I was thinking of making a shelf and putting a curtain like under it. Then I could hang the broom, mop stick vacuum under the shelf and hide it with a curtain. Idk

stunky420

Growing up we kept them in the laundry room

brenst

I have a pantry closet. So I hang my mop and broom on the wall using command hooks (I tied string to the top of my mop and broom to have something to hang from). Then I keep my mop bucket down below them on the floor. It's not ideal, but it's generally out of the way and handy for me to grab. I think a person could do the same thing in a hall closet or wardrobe.

elizscott1977

At the base of my basement stairs.

dorky2

Our basement stairs are off our kitchen. The wall at the top of the stairs has clips and hooks where the brooms, dust pans, mop, and duster hang. The bucket is kept under the kitchen sink.

queeniebee28

The broom and dustpan live next to my washer in the laundry “room” (technically meets the requirements of a room, but let’s be honest, it’s basically just a walk thru washer/dryer closet that leads to the garage). Instead of a traditional mop and bucket, I have a steam mop, and it lives in the corner of my pantry since I use it mostly in the kitchen/dining area. The vacuum cleaner typically lives in my closet, but it can sometimes be found in the laundry room/garage area.

missannthrope1

I gave up a mop bucket. I use the sink and and a handiwipe. I got a stick on holder thingy I attached to the side of the fridge.

coffee_buzzin

The coat closet is my utility closet. I bought a coat tree and entry bench so it looks like a nice entryway with storage and seating. Cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet tissues, batteries, laundry detergent etc goes into the closet.

TheNighttman

My broom/mop/vacuum takes up half my coat closet. Half the coats live in our storage unit. We added a coat rack/hall tree for guests to use. Having no storage sucks (1 bdrm apt with 3 closets total).

prickmoranis

Between the wash basin and the wall in my basement

Amazing-Pack4920

I just have to stuff mine in corners. I don't have a garage or a shed. My steam mop is just under the kitchen table

TooNoodley

Coat closet. It’s a pain.

Status_Zombie_7918

Mop is behind bathroom door with the broom, swiffer duster, etc Mop bucket is under sink.

luckyapples11

Garage works, basement, pretty much anywhere easily accessible and won’t clutter your space. I clean for a living so I actually keep my stuff by the front door lol

islandbop

I m hanging them on the back of the kitchen door which is always open. Bought a mount off amazon, with six different clasps, works super well. Bucket goes under the sink and pisses me off no end

Laeyra

I have a tall metal cart with 6 hooks. It's maybe 18 inches square. No idea where to get it, it was left by the previous owners of my house. Brooms, mops, stick vac on the hooks, buckets and cleaning supplies on the shelves. It has a little drawer too, where i kept cleaning cloths folded up. I keep it in the laundry room next to the electric panel. If i really needed to i could wheel the cart anywhere i wanted to on the ground floor. My husband put some utility hooks in the stairwell to the basement, which is just off the kitchen, so that's where i keep that stuff now. Now the cart holds those little appliances i don't need all the time but need at hand, like the food processor and crock pot.

betsaroonie

My garage access is off my kitchen so in my old house I have a small wall area where I have hangers for mops/brooms and that leaves floor space for a bucket and dust pan.

buzzingbuzzer

I don’t have one either but I have a small coat closet in my hallway that I keep them.

Smile_Terrible

We put a coat rack up on the wall going to the basement and I hang the mop, broom and the Dustbuster there. They are out of the way, but still handy.

fffadsakfaosylz

Upstairs stick vac lives under the guest room bed and downstairs the rest is tucked around the hot water tank in the bathroom. I have also mounted hooks behind heavy drapes before so my broom etc was hidden behind an extra bit of curtain rod on each side of a window. Hooks on backs of doors work too. Also, if you have a deck or balcony, outside in a yard storage tote works too. However, you might want to put the broom with the bucket out the garage so you are more motivated to go out there if you get more than just the bucket. I used to keep a stash of my favourite candy in the laundry room to reward myself for doing laundry. You might have more of a motivation problem than a storage one if you have a garage.

ifukkedurbich

Broom and dustpan get hung up on the side of the fridge. Mop and bucket are kept downstairs in the laundry room. It's worth noting that I don't have kids, dogs, or a yard, so I only need to mop a few times a month.

MNGirlinKY

We are happy to have a laundry room in our home (no closet for this type of thing) so we bought the wall organizer for brooms etc and then the cedar mop is under all of that. Vacuum is hung to the right of the organizer on the side of the cabinets. It’s worked very well.

chaxattax

When I lived in an apartment without any closets, I put up a large shelf along one wall with about a 1.5foot gap between the end of the shelf and the corner, that nook is where I kept my Broom, Mop, and Vaccuum. Mop bucket lived under the kitchen sink with the cleaning supplies.

No_Seaworthiness5637

Usually, between my pantry (which was added as a physical shelf unit) and the wall. Another option is between the Washer and the wall. If you have cabinets under your sink, that could be an option as well if you lay it parallel to the ground.

eyeamsauronreturns

In my laundry room, which I guess counts as a closet. I do have a broom and small vaccum upstairs in the kitchen, and they are shoved into the space between the fridge and wall.

RowanLovecraft

I keep my broom and dustpan in the space between my fridge and pantry wall. Dustpan is exactly the same depth as space is wide. So it can hover. Lol. My basement door is outside. And no broom closet. So I put up a shelf just higher than my bathroom door, behind the bathroom door. I keep my mop bucket on that shelf. I installed a hook to the underside of the shelf, near the wall. Keep my mop there. It's a twist and wring, so I can store it in the stretched position for airflow. I also have a hook on the wall above my bathtub to hang the mop after rinsing, when it might still be dripping. Still have a storage issue with the Dyson. Just sitting in the hall. Tried the linen closet. Too much bother. Guess I should just make a giant cat Dyson cozy for it.

This_Girls_Journey

I like the idea of having a hook above the bathtub. Would not work for me (my full bath is upstairs and no bathtub in my half-bath in the main floor. But, still it's a good idea)

RowanLovecraft

Put the hook near wherever you're dumping your mop water and rinsing the mop.

ComprehensiveWeb9098

That's funny I was just wondering the same thing today 😂

Smart-Stupid666

I hang mine next to my washer and dryer on a spare wall. I got a piece of wood and my husband cut off some Dollar General hooks and fasten them to it. They had been thrown away by the company a long time ago. He's a truck driver.

StrongArgument

We had Command hook brook holders. They grab the mop/broom handle and keep everything organized. Then the bucket went in the cabinet under a sink.

Alive-Professor1755

As someone with ADHD and my husband does as well, I've opted to do something a little different. I keep cleaning products stashed in 4 locations because it makes it easier (less steps) to actually clean something if I don't have to find the things I need first. But it does mean that I have duplicates. 1. Kitchen: pantry has broom/dustpan and swiffer for small jobs and under the sink for other products. 2. Coat closet (because it's more centralized downstairs) has one of those over-the-door shoe organizers. I use that to keep everything for my downstairs bathroom, mop heads (clean ones) for the downstairs floors, etc. I keep my o-cedar mop and bucket in the garage just inside the door, so I just need to grab it. 3. Master bathroom: another over the door hanger for bathroom stuff in the master bath linen closet and dusting in our master bedroom. 4. Laundry room (upstairs): anything more heavy duty that I don't want our toddler to be able to accidentally access. Bathroom stuff for our second bathroom. Laundry stuff. Stuff to dust/clean the other bedrooms. Mop and bucket for bathroom floors (because if I do one, I'm usually doing both). I keep a paper towel roll in both bathrooms but I also restock cleaning rags and mop heads after I've washed them. I also keep a small bucket downstairs and upstairs of stuff my toddler can use if she is in the mood to "help".

zanedrinkthis

I hang it on a hook on my door. Not super pretty, but available. Don’t have a mop bucket though.

Lost_Figure_5892

Have a tiny entry closet- hung some hooks in it and there is mop, broom and dust mop. Mop bucket above washer. Very tiny apartment.

TriumphDaytona

Well, if you’re crafty, you could sew a decorative cover, check a sewing/craft store for patterns.

Sad_Classic_3925

Our mop is in the garage too, so I just ended up buying a swiffer.

thatgirlinny

I live in a prewar city apartment that has nothing resembling a utility closet . So I mounted an Elfa-quality “hook rack” that hangs broom, mop, dust pan, dust brush and the like inside my linen closet, which is deep enough such that these things are nowhere near the actual linens, which are up higher. I also make sure these tools go back in that closet perfectly clean. The bucket sits on the floor of that closet width the various cleaning solutions alongside it. If the bucket is problematic to store, consider puting whatever solution you use for floors in hot water within the kitchen sink, wringing the mop into that or your bathtub or shower. I’ve even filled the bathroom sink when I merely want to mop that and don’t wish to take the bucket out. Just make sure you vacuum before mopping so nothing solid goes down the drain, whether you use the bucket or sink. But one can live and clean without a bucket, if need be.

aviankal

Garage. Right outside the door

deegymnast

We don't have a utility closet, but we have a large pantry in the kitchen. My mop/broom hang on the wall just inside it and bucket on the floor. I keep other cleaning supplies in a bin in the top of my pantry or in a cabinet in my laundry closet. My mom and aunt use the wall in the garage just outside the door into the house so they can grab it easily from inside. My sister uses her coat closet. My vacuum is in my coat closet.

jessthetraumaticmess

I got one of those hanging up hooks and grabby grabs. As for the buckets, idk what to tell you. Mine are under the hooks. Put a fake plant in it or something. Idk 😂

3plantsonthewall

In a studio apartment, I kept my O’Cedar mop bucket under my bed. I always made sure it was fully dry before I put it away.

[deleted]

I have a mop, broom and swiffer tucked in between wall and fridge as there’s a 4 inch gap. I don’t have a bucket tho. I have absolutely nowhere to keep it. I’m in a tiny house. BUT I did just discover foldable buckets… gonna give that a try and see if it fits in my “broom closet” 😂

sk613

Do you Have a laundry room? Or we have holders on the stairs to the basement for the broom etc

h3lpfulc0rn

I have a little gap between my wall and fridge which is where I used to keep the broom, but now that's where the step ladder goes and broom/mop hang on hooks in the laundry room (which is right off my kitchen). I don't use a mop bucket, I just fill the sink with hot soapy water and use that. That being said, I have a fairly small apartment and the amount of moppable floor is minimal so this might not work as well if you have hard floors throughout and more square footage. If you have a bigger place that just doesn't have closets, a standalone cabinet might fit your needs better.

Fantastic_Fox_9497

I put the buckets under the sink and the brooms in that space between the wall and the refridgerator

OldLeatherPumpkin

We got a wall rack for hanging stuff with long handles and put it on the laundry room wall. I store buckets in one of my kitchen cabinets - I actually keep my cleaning brushes and sponges in them.

myfootisnumb

Keep ours hanging in the laundry room and the mop bucket is sadly relegated to the garage, too.

daradv

I happen to have a laundry room but no utility closet so I keep my mop in there as well as the stick vacuum battery. The vacuums are in the front door coat closet. The Swiffer is on the wall of my pantry. Any other cleaning supplies are under sinks.

Okay, this is just a suggestion although maybe not the best but might inspire other ideas. A neighbour of mine asked me to sew her a vacuum “bunny”. It was basically a doll-type head with a long prairie dress attached. It slipped covered her vacuum, broom and bucket so she could keep it in the foyer of her 500sq/f house. It was a little kitschy for my taste but it looked nice in her “twee” home.

In the laundry room

In my case I have a basement whose stairs debouch into the kitchen. There is a small landing space at the top. So I have a row of rubbermaid branded broom handle grabbers with 3M Command adhesive strips. They are positioned to that mop, broom and swiffer do not touch the floor. I added a big piece of adhesive shelf paper where the tool heads end up so it is easier to keep clean.

ReasonableCheesecake

I have my cordless vacuum mounted in my closet and everything else is in the garage.

brooke_elise2015

I keep mine hung up/placed behind the door to my laundry room. It’s always open so they stay mostly hidden. I got a little shelf thing from target that I can hang my mop and my broom on, and my vacuums just go right under

2Throwscrewsatit

Garage when company comes over but sometimes just by the front door

munchieattacks

Mop/bucket are in the shower. Broom/pan tucked between fridge and wall.

miaomeowmixalot

I just put command hooks last night behind my fridge to hang my swiffer and broom. My dustpan is part of a set with a small brush and it already has a command hook on the cabinet next to the trash can. The mop bucket is on the patio and also gets used to collect and water my plants with rainwater.

rhiandmoi

I keep the mop bucket under the bathroom sink and the mop handle on a hook in the pantry

I hear you, I live in an apartment and currently my mop and bucket, broom and stick vac live in the corner of my dining room. I hate it but I've yet to find anywhere else to put it that isn't wildly inconvenient (like an upstairs closet)

tasukiko

Apartment person here. We keep our steam mop, main vacuum and dust mop in the hall closet with the coats. Our rechargeable stick vacuum I have in our bedroom but I keep it broken down into its hand vacuum profile so it doesn't need a wall mount. I'm hoping to get a robo vac with self empty this year at Christmas and that will also live in the bedroom. I have a spot all picked out for him.

Hungry-Apartment8367

Growing up, my parents would keep all that stuff in the laundry room.

CanIGetAShakeWThat43

We have a wall in our laundry area and have a cleaning tool hanger https://preview.redd.it/dz4avjzjoloc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88b7a4da7eaf3a6cb9036aa97a15722271f6adff Like this.

Our powder room. We don’t have guests over that often and it’s still usable.

I have a basement door that opens in my kitchen. My husband conveniently hung hooks on the wall down to the basement where we hang our broom, dustpan & another hook for something we might add in the future. I keep the steam mop in the hall closet entryway. I use that for cleaning our linoleum floors. Don’t have a mop because they just seem unsanitary to me. I am a germafobe, and I apologize if I am hurting someones feelings who loves mops. I would never do that intentionally. Have a great weekend. Peace!

Star-Struck-Wonderer

Mops and brooms are in the bathroom, in a corner behind the toilet. Cleaning supplies are below the sink. And the vacuum cleaner in its box in the coat closet.

mediocreERRN

I keep in garage. We have these pegs on wall I keep my clean mop heads on.

Mmdrgntobldrgn

Just inside the garage door off the kitchen.

Secret_Bad1529

I keep my mops and sweeper in the laundry room

Impossible-Title1

In the second bathroom/toilet.

Our house was built in the 60's. I am pretty sure the kitchen had a broom closet back in the day, but it was sacrificed during a DIY kitchen update in the aughties. I stick my broom to an industrial magnet on the side of my fridge. I also have an OCedar bucket and spin mop. Fortunately, we have a guest bathroom on the main level of the house. The bucket resides in the tub. When I am finished using it I put it back into the tub and close the shower curtain.

badgersister1

For years I had mine tucked between the fridge and a wall. I often had to get long handled tongs to pull them out when they slipped too far back. A broom closet was an absolute must when we renovated the kitchen!

Aggressive-System192

Broom, dustpan, mop and handheld vacuum are stored on hoops behind the curtain. I also have a basket with the mop pads in there, also hanging from a hood. Costco has those "stick" holders, where you justbthebpress the broom in and it stays. I don't use a bucket... I have one, it's stored away elsewhere. I don't need to clean with a bucket because my robot vacuum is efficient at mopping. I also don't use the broom and rest of the tools as much since there's no need.

SuperTamario

In a condo and no proper utility closet: 1. Broom & dustpan in narrow space next to fridge. 2. Mop upside down next to water heater, bucket rests lightly on top of heater. 3. Vacuum is disassembled one part at the bottom of linen cupboard and hose and rod parts in spare room closet. It’s pretty hopeless, no room for off season clothes or sporting gear….

NotElizaHenry

I have a cute white broom and dustpan that don’t look awful just hanging from a hook in the kitchen.

This_Girls_Journey

Would you mind sharing a link to the one you have, may be I can get it too. Thanks for your response.

NotElizaHenry

The broom is [this one](https://a.co/d/595xyxf). The wood on mine is a lot lighter in person, and I took the rubber gasket off because it’s pointless and looks cheap. I don’t remember where I got the dustpan but it’s white painted metal. If you scroll through “customers also liked” there are good options. To me it’s worth it to spend a little more or sacrifice a tiny bit of function to have nicer-looking versions of the utilitarian stuff I don’t have room to hide :)

goblinf

Hooks on the wall with a paint outline of each item. so it looks planned.
