I think their dynamic requires Ashley to be physically significantly weaker than Andrew to work. Andrew is being manipulated psychologically only. Else Ashley wouldn't fear decay Andrew.
Maybe I just dislike the sprite because of the size difference, if they switched the hight around it would be fine.

Regarding the whole misogyny topic themes of this game, I think that those themes can work with what can be Asher and Andrea's dynamic.

Maybe a misogynistic mindset of "The man should provide for a woman" and the "I know I'm younger than you but I can be the perfect man for you so you wouldn't search for another" and "Men are pigs, Andrea. All they want is your body but not me, I'm different" type of shtick. So still an insecure individual.
Andrea:
While Andrea can have a situation where possibly just like Andrew, never has genuine connections with anyone outside other than his family. So maybe she finds those genuine connections when taking care of Asher. His eagerness to be her knight and his promise to take care of her when he grows up may have made her heart feel whole and may have made her feel possessive. Just like Andrew, the idea of Asher being independent does not sit right with Andrea.
