I just let the colleges know my intentions that I wear one every day and that it’s free publicity for their school. I include pictures of my classroom with a bunch of college flags and a picture of my shirts. I’ve gotten a lot of no’s, but quite a few yes’s as well.
That’s way cool. Do you share a little bit about the school with your class on the days you wear them? Maybe if you tell them you will it could turn a few more no’s into yes’s?
I do, I spend the first couple minutes of my advisory class talking about it. I also do some online trivia type scavenger hunts for prizes about the school.

He would buy a hat, shirt, or simply mail a letter/box with a prepaid return label to get autographs from college coaches (usually football or basketball). I'd argue his collection of autographs could rival any in the United States. It blew my mind when Tom Izzo sent back an autographed 8x10 and a separate autograph on the hat he sent in. My buddy passed away 2 years ago, his amazing wife asked me if I wanted his collection, unfortunately I didn't have room for all 600+ autographed memorabilia. I ended up helping her turn her basement into the ultimate sports shrine. I'm going to text her now and she if she'll send me pictures. Man I miss him

It wasn’t true, but the schools that did I actually ended up following for a bit and rocking their stuff regularly. Like Appy, UNT, Ind St, NAU. Funny enough Boise sent me the most stuff and I still follow them to this day and get to see them play for the first time this year. Nice collection & Go broncos!

I see you wisely passed on a Fresno State shirt. Funny story, in the city of Fresno, one of the biggest gangs was a gang called the Bulldogs. They may still exist but I'm not into the drug scene anymore so my dealings with them are non existent. I used to buy Molly off a dude that worked out of a barber shop that worked for the dogs. But anyways, growing up, living near Fresno, I couldn't wear any Fresno State clothing to school because it was "Gang Related". My mother went to nursing school at Fresno State while I was in middle school. She bought me a bulldogs sweatshirt one day. I wore it to school and they tried to suspend me. Fucking ridiculous.
I have a ton of college shirts but they aren’t boring with just the name across the chest. You need to get vintage ones with old logos. Homefield does an incredible job with these.
I love Homefield! I have Baylor, Ole Miss, and Colorado St. the shirts are great quality and soft. I like the name of the college to be on it for my students and others to see and maybe ask questions about it.

I have been building a collection since high school of all schools I have visited. I just buy a dry fit short sleeve workout shirt whenever I go somewhere. It is not nearly as impressive as this but I would absolutely love for it to reach this one day.

I actually live here in Iowa, that’s why I have so many different small Iowa schools. My wife went to Emmaus too so that’s my connection.
