If it detonates on the cage I suspect you're just as fucked if your next line of defense is just ... vehicle structure.
Even the cages on tanks are of limited usefulness depending on circumstances.
All a drone needs to do is take out the tires on a truck like that to immobilize it. Therefore a cope cage above the passengers and driver wouldnt be a deterrent from drones. Cope cages are useful on tanks because it is much much more difficult to get a mobility kill on a tank with an FPV, resulting in the upper parts of the tank being targeted and not the tracks. Ergo, tanks get cope cages and cope barns while commercial vehicles do not.
Cossack cross, symbol of the ground forces and a historical symbol of the old Zaporozhian army of the 16th century, it's also used in regions and cities flags, like the Poltava Oblast
That's a cossack cross, a really old symbol used by the zaporozhian army at the time of the Cossack Hetmanate
Outside the security forces it is also used on the flags of some regions of Ukraine, such as the Poltava Oblast
okay that's fair, but it should teach you visually the difference between a curved line, and a straight line, and comparing what's on the video to what an iron cross looks like should tell you they are difference shapes is what im getting at.
If thats the case then you should have worded your first comment differently because the way you said it was addressing the failure of geometry classes in teaching people what an iron cross looks like. Obviously people know the difference between a curved and a straight line. I think we can all agree on that. The issue was whether or not that person remembers what an iron cross looks like, which could be confusing to the average layman since the cross symbol in general was used in several different ways by nazi germany, some with curves and some without. The average person doesnt know those distinctions and thats the issue at hand. Not whether or not someone knows what a curve is.
Russian st. George cross also uses this shape. [https://static.tildacdn.com/tild6661-3032-4239-a165-333037643839/\_\_-1.jpg](https://static.tildacdn.com/tild6661-3032-4239-a165-333037643839/__-1.jpg)
It's just happens to be common across many militaries
Makes you wonder who was picked up and why

The balls to do that. Bravo.
Many of these rescuers deserve to be honored with the Hero of Ukraine medal
It's not even armored. Any shrapnel will go right through. They are extremely lucky!
Shooting artillery at a single SUV seems like an inefficent use of ammuntion TBH.
That's the problem, the Russians have a lot of ammunition
No drone cage on that thing? Wtf
The results on unarmored vehicles are not satisfactory

lol a drone cage ain’t gonna do shit for that suv
Maybe drone jammers. They are sold at a personal level and there are probsbly ones adapted to vehicles

Whenever they see one, they send drones too
We see plenty of Ukrainian drone drops on dudes carrying stretchers. And that truck, who knows what it is up to.
Why do the Ukrainians use the iron cross emblem? Isn’t that a German thing?

Goddamnit man, Iron crosses have CURVES, i swear to god this war has made me realize how many people failed geometry as children.
What nazi geometry class did you have that taught you about the shape of an iron cross?!
(?)
Geometry classes dont teach people the shape of an iron cross.

My guy, it was a mocking remark, its not that deep.
