Seems like you’re a kid.
Burnouts, drifts, drags, etc. If that’s your thing, build up to that in controlled settings with someone experienced to show you how.
There are far too many posts here (especially on r/Mustang) of flipped and totaled cars. Don’t be one of them.
We want you to own a C10.
Yeah pretty much. I’ve spent over $2000 just in parts, and done all the labor myself. Constantly giving me issues, breaking down. Have had to tow it home 4 times now and i pushed it home once. I love the car but I’m ready to try a different platform. Bought a 2010 mustang gt, and it’s a stick shift which is another reason I’m selling the c4, it’s automatic because i couldn’t find a manual c4 near me when i was car shopping. Settled for an auto but always wanted a manual. In the future I’ll definitely get another corvette though, a c5 or c6.
I feel you on that, the headgasket on one side gave out and leaked coolant really badly. I thought it was a freeze plug because I couldn't see shit back there. I took it to a mechanic and they pressure tested it, found the waterpump was leaking so they changed that then they did it again and it still wasn't holding pressure, which turned out to be the headgasket. If I had a garage I would've did the work myself but it cost me 3200 just for that stuff mentioned. It was leaking oil a little bit and they found the valve covers as the culprit, and stated that they were in rough shape. So they got me those chrome Chevrolet ones. They replaced all the hosing as preventative maintenance for me, which I wouldn't even turn down as the labor cost was already included in the price to change a headgasket. I told em to change both of them just in case. This shit happened in late January, of course
I'm trying my best, doin small mods as I go on. I just did the bypass for the throttle body, and I can't tell if it's a SOTP improvement or just plain better response. But it seems worth it
I got the car mainly for the look, sexy asf. 80s style shit is the best imo. I got the car for 2950, but I didn't have my license to drive till December. Still may have drove illegally
It runs like a new car now, engine doesn't even feel old but the tranny could do better on that 3-4 and 2-3. Surprisingly it doesn't loose traction on asphalt. Can't say the same for anything else😬, too much torque
Yea I definitely like the looks of the c4 a bit more but as a larger guy I found them a bit too cramped. Mine is the 50th anniversary red, probably my favorite color for the c5s.
Real shit tho I'm working on performance mods for mine and it's hard.im looking at carb swapping my l98 because nobody within a 5hour drive of me can retune it.
Heheh damn right abt that, the options are either pcm for less or megasquirt or the other ecm options. It's a fun learning curve, but beware that if you do carb swap it, your loosing that low end torque, and I don't think carburetors fit under that hood of a c4
Heh yeah I suppose your right actually, the newer carbs are alot better, and nicer. I'm planning on replacing the ecm with possibly a new modern one that works with the older tpi, gonna have to rely on youtube and forums for that😆
You've got a good eye for taking car pics... The driver side corner ground up shot is really cool.. looks like you color graded them as well... Nice job... Great car!
My friends a photographer in progress he brought his camera and wanted to take some pics of it. Thank you though. I ain't gonna take credit for his pics
It’s really cool. 😎
Thank you man I've been wanting to posy it on here for awhile, my friend took the pics
*post
Forgot to mention it's a 1898 auto
Wow, must have been a very early prototype!
that’s almost modern styling!
Holy shit you got one of the first cars ever!!
Steam powered? I'm assuming it's a manual.
Hell yeah man, got those civil war turbo chargers in there too
godDAMN
1989🤣
I suck as this shit
*AT
Black and Gold, fuckin' sweet ride man!
I don't like two tone cars, but that looks awesome.
Very cool car, it's pretty good looking too!
Congrats two tone brown is a rare choice.
The original paint on this car was full factory black but either way it looks gorgeous
Welcome to the club 😊 Great first car!! My first was a 1975 Trans Am. Wanted a Vette, but couldn’t afford one. Finally got a 2004 6speed at 65!!
Dang dude, hell I'm only 17 and this thing is a joy to drive, besides the rattles but I except em since it's a 35 year old car
I can't type for shit I swear I'm not high🤣
bro ur lucky to have a car this cool at 17 how did u save to get this ?? im 18 n haven’t even gotten my license 😭😭
I was just scrolling on Facebook marketplace and it just popped up, I already had 5.5k saved up but I bought the car for 2950
I did drivers ed and got my license in early dec
I like the two tone Vettes. Gold and brown is a nice combo.
Wow that Color combo!!
Fellow Torq-Thrust enjoyer, I see
Heheh stoplight beater yes, I gotta show those rice cookers who's boss, respects are always given tho
Great photographs. Sweet ride 💯
Very nice.
Much love for the C4…she doesn’t get enough!
Beautiful! I do love the two-tones.
How many other cars did you get last fall?
None😂
This is the only one I got, besides my dad's car that I drive in the winter
Just teasing you on your wording. Enjoy it. And for the love of God, don’t be a dumbass
I was in a rush making the post I had 2 mins before I had to go drive to work
Wdym by not being a dumbass?

I am, I don't drift unless it's in the winter and open parking lot
Beauty
Beautiful color
Looks awesome, great color combo! My one recommendation is to get new badges for an easy upgrade to make it look even better.
I'm saving the exterior stuff for last, just tryna get the thing mechanical better and the interior needs a bunch of screws and jb weld😂
Hello fellow Washingtonian. Always gotta go full geoguessr when someone goes to those lengths.
Your close, but actually wrong😂, good guess tho
Goated paint scheme
I appreciate it, that's the main reason I bought it, instead of a beater for 500
i'd salute if i see it running on street
I drive it around town EVERY day as long as it ain't snowing or icy. Central Oregon man, never know what ur gonna get
Gorgeous looking car. Love the two tone 1😍👍
I appreciate it, my buddies are telling me to get a different paint job but I'm sure they are just jealous. I ain't for awhillllle
Lol, no I would keep it! Plus the rim combo is nice too!
I can't keep the darn rims clean😂, car washes are useless now
Hell yeah. My first car was a 1987 c4. Still have it 2 years later but I’m about to list it for sale.
Niceee, and how come? Is it just causing trouble for you?
Yeah pretty much. I’ve spent over $2000 just in parts, and done all the labor myself. Constantly giving me issues, breaking down. Have had to tow it home 4 times now and i pushed it home once. Hope it’s reliable for you man 😅 that’s like the one thing holding me back from daily driving a 80s car
Heh tell that to the headgasket that went spitting coolant out the back, and that darn waterpump
Jesus sounds like ur off to a good start
She's starting to grow on me more... financially
Hey if u got the money to keep it in reliable condition all the power to u.
I'm trying my best, doin small mods as I go on. I just did the bypass for the throttle body, and I can't tell if it's a SOTP improvement or just plain better response. But it seems worth it
It's the mileage for one thing, it was just abt there for the 180k mile headgasket blowout, right on cue, give or take 1k miles
I got the car mainly for the look, sexy asf. 80s style shit is the best imo. I got the car for 2950, but I didn't have my license to drive till December. Still may have drove illegally
Headgasket went out at a damn stoplight on my way to McDonald's 😂 I babied it home after panicking my ass off
It runs like a new car now, engine doesn't even feel old but the tranny could do better on that 3-4 and 2-3. Surprisingly it doesn't loose traction on asphalt. Can't say the same for anything else😬, too much torque
AND I want more
Beautiful, I got a c5 as my first car last summer and couldn't have made a better choice
Oh sick dude, I never really liked the looks of the c5, widely depending on its color. Black or white, look the best
Yea I definitely like the looks of the c4 a bit more but as a larger guy I found them a bit too cramped. Mine is the 50th anniversary red, probably my favorite color for the c5s.
I understand that, they are really tight in the interior. Headroom ain't a issue tho till I look up😄
That kind of red is nice but it's a little too common for vettes if I say so. Looks alot better for older ones, c4 and down
That thing is clean as fuck for almost 200k miles god damn
If you told me "I'm going to do a two tone with gold on the top on my C4", I would have prevented you. But the result is actually amazing.
I got to do some body and paint work on the passenger side sadly, hit a guard rail but tbh it don't even look that bad
Way cooler than my first car! Enjoy her!
I nearly fainted looking at this Omg
This post is gold.
Not the biggest fan of C4’s but this one looks great. Take care of it!
That looks amazing. Awesome color combo. Really exudes the 1980s
Congrats dude I like the color
An excellent choice as a fello c4 owner welcome to the club.their kinda a pain in the ass sometimes
I agree, shit breaks real easy at least in the interior. The cool thing about fiberglass tho, is what's a dent??
Real shit tho I'm working on performance mods for mine and it's hard.im looking at carb swapping my l98 because nobody within a 5hour drive of me can retune it.
Heheh damn right abt that, the options are either pcm for less or megasquirt or the other ecm options. It's a fun learning curve, but beware that if you do carb swap it, your loosing that low end torque, and I don't think carburetors fit under that hood of a c4
They will.if you do it right they used to fit duel carbs on them back in the day.
The hard part is doing it right😂, but also your downgrading on reliability with the carb, and tunability
Tho there ain't much to tune sadly, darn obd1 cars and people these days, lazy
I grew up with them so tuning ain't a problem and I'm no so sure I agree with you on carbs being less reliable than 30 year old GM wiring and ecus
Heh yeah I suppose your right actually, the newer carbs are alot better, and nicer. I'm planning on replacing the ecm with possibly a new modern one that works with the older tpi, gonna have to rely on youtube and forums for that😆
Yeah I'm just making it simpler and carbing the damn thing.makes everything simpler.plus i know plenty of people to rebuild and tune them
That's true but don't you got to get a new fuel system for it, like really low pressure?
The most I've learned abt carbs was from rebuilding my dad's rm250 with him
I'm planning on going with a FIRST intake this summer, gonna be quite fun. Exhaust first tho😁, maybe next week
C4!!!
Man I’ve never been a fan of C4s. But I really like this car
[удалено]
That ain't a pulsar😂
Good for you, looks awesome
1.8M?🤣
What do you mean😂, ur nutz
When I first saw it I totally thought it was 1.8M miles 🤣🤣 super nice ride dude
Ohhhh, damn man I fuckin wish. In that shape atleast
