Maybe it was the ratchet , at the weird time in space , where it was between clicks and stepped forward or backwards.....maybe...? Hopefully 😅

Could be I was using a tq wrench and it definitely felt different to the normal thud that the tq wrench makes. I'm going to take that rocker back out today to inspect all of the threads again and if they all look fine and if they're aren't any metal shavings in there I'm sure it's fine, maybe when I was tightening it the rocker wasn't fully seated on the pushrod or something idk.

I've had a ratchet pop on me (a high dollar one) and I think WTF..... but you doing the right thing by checking EVERY possibility.....🤘

ZorgZev

Had a snap on ratchet pop on me. Needed a rebuild after that haha.

Yeah I'm definitely itching to drive it. But I don't like it when bolts or other metal components find their way into my cylinders🤣 I'll for sure keep that in mind though, my tq wrench is from amazon so it's definitely possible.

🤣🤣 good luck...!👊

Make sure there is no oil down in the threaded hole. You can cause a hydraulic fracture in the head, once the bolt is tightened and the oil compressed. It's rare but it can happen, I've seen it happen on main cap bolts into a block.

WeirdSlice9035

I blew all of the holes out with compressed air before I bolted the rockers down so I doubt it would be that, but it is good to share that info a lot of people don't know that

Before using a torque wrench on something critical, internal engine parts, I'd test my wrench to make sure it was close to spec. Something like [this would be fine](https://www.amazon.com/Powerbuilt-940963-Digital-Torque-Adapter/dp/B009MBG4MG).

WeirdSlice9035

Haven't thought of that before but that is a really good idea!

Just to update everyone I found my problem I was installing a new set of CHE trunions and I installed one upside down, the trunions has a top and bottom and can be spun 360 degrees, oops it was a long day anyway I ended up chipping part of the rocker stand it sits on, hence why I got that pop and it made it looser. Anyway I'm ordering new rocker pedestals for both sides and reinstalling the trunions once I get the new parts. Thank you guys for the comments and advice!
