We don't know how many takes they took... But seriously, I really want a Magpul D60 and have heard nothing but good things, but I just can't justify a drum mag compared to a pair of mags clamped together. Also Ian McCollum scared me away from drum mags in principle.
My sks never went full auto, but would 3rnd burst once in awhile.. that was enough for me to make sure that sht was cleaned all the time and always wondering when it would happen again.
It's the drum mag that's likely to cause a malfunction. Drums (especially super high capacity ones) are well known to cause jams because the spring tension pushing the rounds into the chamber varies greatly from fully loaded to even half empty. The spring needs to be able to compress enough that all the rounds can be loaded, but also have enough power when the mag is almost empty to load the next round as quickly as necessary to not cause a jam.
I mean he's also got NVG's... maybe not be a totalcunt and consider that just maybe someone that owns that gear and is at a night shoot might actually have an interest and/or some training.
Way to gatekeep things because youre probably too poor to afford the stuff he has.
Is this me in Dayz? Fresh start, come across a helicopter crash. Tac helm, NVGs, civilian clothes, and an overpowered gun i'm pretty sure will just get me killed.
Sometimes when I get bored, that's exactly what I do in Fortnite.
I gather up as many good weapons as I can then sneak up on people in top 10 / top 20 then emote.
Especially when you've only got 6 more shots of .22 left, and the nearest house is 200m away. And when you get there, you realize you don't have any bandages left. So you either bleed out, or face the last two wolves outside...
DayZ and the first few times I was deep in a Pubg game were the most insane experiences gaming in the past 10 years. Some Hunt:Showdown moments rank up there.
* the way reddit assumes is that these are available for anyone to purchase at a gun show or within 100 miles of a gun show without ID.
* the politician way assumes these are offered free with school lunches
* the prepper illegal way is modify one of your 15 glocks using 3D printed parts
* the movie way is that these are found in all retired CIA secret gun cabinets.
* the technical nerdy prepper illegal way is to manufacturer the entire thing including ammo with a 3D printer and airsoft parts (yes, this one is not a joke, you can make these at home, just still illegal once they are turned into full auto)
* The legal way is to be a specially licensed manufacturer who can only sell to the government and has very strict rules to follow.
finally, you can just go to vegas and shoot one at a range https://www.battlefieldvegas.com/weapon/pistols/glock-18-full-auto-pistol/
>finally, you can just go to vegas and shoot one at a range https://www.battlefieldvegas.com/weapon/pistols/glock-18-full-auto-pistol/
I'd recommend against that range. It's really all about getting you in and out as quickly as possible, with zero possibility of actually getting to know something about the gun, or actually operating it beyond the trigger. They hand it to you cocked and locked, you point at the target 25 feet from you, pull the trigger, $50 turns into noise in 2 seconds, and they take the gun from you. Rinse, repeat, 10 minutes later and $300 lighter you're out of there. Hell, half the MGs you can only fire from a pintle - what's the point of that?!
They have an amazing collection (in very shoddy condition - an AUG *and* a FAL broke in our hands), which they may not always have ammo for, but that's it. In a place where customer service is the name of the game it feels like a little exclave of the Balkans.
Yeah, not something I'd partake in. $95 to shoot 50 rounds in 1 second? I'd rather throw a box of ammo into a camp fire.
now if they offered something like detail disassembling some of the WWII full auto guns and putting them back together in a quiet well lit room I'd go for that even if I could not fire them. Actually I'd go for that over an hour at the bunny ranch.
Exactly. I went there wanting to shoot, among other things, a Lewis, hoping I'd get to see the weird clockwork mainspring in real life and check out the feed system, but they were out of .303. OK, this was after COVID, fine, I'll take the M60 instead, let's get some.
The put it on a pintle, put the belt in it for me, all I got to do was hold down the trigger. So disappointed.
To be clear this kind of thing is not legal in the slightest for civilian ownership in the U.S. There are *some* fully auto guns you can own but they have to be manufactured before ~~a specific date(sometime in the 1950s cant remeber the exact date)~~ 1986 and you need ~~a shitload of background checks~~ to do a shitload of paperwork
For somthing like this you go to a special shooting range and pay a shitload of money to get to shoot a few mags through it.
Cuz the Does in tha hood are always hard, come eatin' my trash and I'll pull your card, knowin' nothing in life but to find salt licks, don't poke me boy I ain't got tiiicks
Clueless non gun-owner asks:
Are gun handles insulated? Watching this, I figure that gun has to become white hot pretty quick, but I don't know shit about guns.
The barrel and the metal slide on the top would be very hot that that point, not white or anything like that, but the barrel would definitely burn skin on contact.
This is a more extreme example of what you are thinking about, with more rounds and much greater heat.
https://youtu.be/jHWhYnwNnfo
If playing video games has taught me anything it is that full auto for short barrels is a wasted of ammo unless your trying to hit the broadside of a barn in less than 10 yards.
That’s not really until you get to about 1000 rounds in a matter of 10 minutes. You put that many rounds through most guns in that amount of time, you’ll start to get malfunctions. The Glock 18 is specifically made to be fired on full auto as well and If that were the case here, that barrel would be glowing. Barrel is fine.
Giving props for that excellent recoil management
Right? Barely a flinch. Not his first rodeo.
I was thinking, thank you for not dropping it. 100 rounds is real recoil.
that was actually his first rodeo
He brought a fully auto Glock to his first rodeo?
And then he's taking that rodeo to a knife fight!
Clearly you’ve never been to a rodeo
Also props to the drum mag for not shitting itself like they usually do lol
I'm just imagining they had to film 16 times to find the one drum that would actually run to empty without jamming.
Plot twist: that was only 82 shots and the drum did shit itself 3/4 the way there. They just know nobody is gonna count.
Wrong, I counted 83.

To be fair, Ian is mostly talking from the most practical of military applications. If you want one for fun, get one for fun.
I've got both the D60 and D50, I use the D50 more to be honest because I run it on a DMR style rifle so I don't have to keep reloading 10 round mags.
The drum helps a lot, probably weighs 5 times as much as a regular fully loaded G19
Not by the time its empty.
By the time it is empty, the double drum mag weighs two pounds. The light on the front helps, too, but two pounds anywhere on the gun will help a lot.
Holy shit yeah that muzzle is damn near stationary
My 1911 became fully auto unexpectedly and my final shot was around 70° from level, and that was just 8 rounds.
SKS owners be like
Just clean the firing pin
My sks never went full auto, but would 3rnd burst once in awhile.. that was enough for me to make sure that sht was cleaned all the time and always wondering when it would happen again.
Trigger discipline too.
No eye protection :(
Safety Squints
Guilty 🤦🏼♂️🥹
I'm impressed with how steady he held the gun.
I got to shoot a full auto glock a few years back on summer vacation. It felt like holding a really strong vibratior
Held a bunch of strong vibrators?
A whole range of them
username checks out
That's what the 3 "Rs" in the username stand for. When they are jacking there is also an "Rrr" faintly in the background.
the forbidden vibrator
And boobs feel like bags of sand.
i know glock is a dependable gun but im still surprised that not even one bullet got jammed.
Not only that, but drum mags have to be loaded perfectly each time or else the winding mechanism gets out of wack with the spring tension.

Not like there's anything to see when you fire 100 rounds in 12 seconds at night anyway.
And make sure you just leave the helmet strap dangling. It’s only there for show

Hahaha nice. Haven't played DayZ in a minute!
Same. I miss those long ass hikes to the northern airfield just to get sniped as soon as you get there.
Getting surrounded by wolves is the worst
Especially when you've only got 6 more shots of .22 left, and the nearest house is 200m away. And when you get there, you realize you don't have any bandages left. So you either bleed out, or face the last two wolves outside...
As long as it's a light bleed it will stop in 5 minutes. Also that's when you take your shirt off and cut it into rags
There's wolves now? DayZ's really changed a lot

Ah thanks, for some reason I remembered it being way earlier, I should have just googled it 🤦♂️
MW2 wasn’t exaggerating on the Glock man I used to get so mad now I understand
This guy has better control than MW2 depicted, and I thought that was bullshit.
Yeah with the g18 on call of duty you mind as well aim at the feet lol
How to spend $10 in less than 15 seconds
It's more like $50 but who's counting.
Um, I am
Why?
Cause I can :)
Bro don’t infringe on his right to count
Sir, if your paying .50 a round I'll gladly sell you 9mm for .40 a round as many as you'd like.
I was hoping the jackass reloads his own LOL
You haven't priced components lately, have you? Primers are $80/1000, and nothing else is cheap either.
Haven’t reloaded in years
100 9mm is like $25 in Canada, where everything is expensive.
Came here to say this
$10? Maybe if it was 2004.
"It costs 400,000 dollars to fire this weapon for 12 seconds."
What's the conversion rate of follars?
The same as Stanley fickels
I wish I could find 9mm rounds for $5 /box
Lol where you getting 100 rounds for $10
$10 oh bless your heart.
ten dollars lol
Haters will say that I don’t need this for hunting.

If playing video games has taught me anything it is that full auto for short barrels is a wasted of ammo unless your trying to hit the broadside of a barn in less than 10 yards.
But.....why ?
That's it for that barrel
It's literally fine. lol.
Someone on YouTube did a video of shooting full auto on a Glock mag after mag. [YouTube](https://youtu.be/ub4OswUhLwo)
Not at all. If the gun’s barrel was fucked after shooting only 100 rounds then no one would buy them.
It's not the number, it's the frequency.
