As someone who has struggled his whole life with irrational anger: FAR too many of the people in this category ever make it to the point of asking themselves if this behavior is okay, they just believe their anger is justified (because it's theirs) and they "just have a low tolerance for stupid"
Righteous anger is probably one of the most dangerous things humans can feel. People are capable of incredibly brutal things when they feel their anger is not only correct but completely justified.
It helped me to put it into words. Pretend I had to explain exactly how I was wronged to a neutral coworker or family member. Then pretend that, hypothetically, someone was coming to me with the same story. How would I feel then? Would I think they were overreacting? Usually I would.
When you break down most minor things like that it becomes easier to get over, or at least you've forced yourself to breath a few minutes while you ponder all that.

There is always the chance your lawyer can contest charges on technicalities, possibly getting some of them dismissed or lessened. Also, generally pleading not guilty means far more work for the prosecution, who will be more likely to offer a plea deal as a result.
I mean that's always what you plead at arraignment . Hell some judges in Arizona legitimately won't even allow defendants to plead guilty without having an attorney or public defender assigned yet! I had gotten a DUI like 10 years ago and had to sleep in the jail and see the judge right away in the morning. There was a young guy there who had been arrested for shoplifting and tried to plead guilty right away, but the judge wouldn't accept it. She pleaded not guilty in his place, and said he needs to speak with an attorney or wait for his public defender to be assigned to speak with first.

Mostly on interstates but I was filling in for a flagger one day when someone (in a bucket truck of all people) intentionally ran into me after screaming at me to “move the fucking cones”. I tried telling him he wasn’t gonna fit past the truck coming out and once the truck was out he could go in. He didn’t like that and floored it. He jumped out and started yelling he didn’t hit me (even though I was literally on the ground bleeding) and tried to get the support of a pedestrian, who told him he’s nuts. He went from “I didn’t hit you” to “I’m sorry” to “please don’t call the police” real fast. Fucker ended up losing his job and getting arrested. Went back to interstates not much longer after that.

As someone who has struggled his whole life with irrational anger: FAR too many of the people in this category ever make it to the point of asking themselves if this behavior is okay, they just believe their anger is justified (because it's theirs) and they "just have a low tolerance for stupid"
This is my problem. I’m slowly coming to terms with the fact that my anger is, in fact, NOT justified in most cases.
Righteous anger is probably one of the most dangerous things humans can feel. People are capable of incredibly brutal things when they feel their anger is not only correct but completely justified.
It helped me to put it into words. Pretend I had to explain exactly how I was wronged to a neutral coworker or family member. Then pretend that, hypothetically, someone was coming to me with the same story. How would I feel then? Would I think they were overreacting? Usually I would. When you break down most minor things like that it becomes easier to get over, or at least you've forced yourself to breath a few minutes while you ponder all that.
And here you are, older and wiser. Good for you. How did you solve the crisis? Did you just come to terms with it, therapy, did someone punch you out or did you punch someone out?
I don't know why the downvotes. I'm asking a person who said he's dealt with irrational anger all of his life, to explain how he dealt and deals with it. In case it got lost, I was commending this person and asking him to share his story with others who maybe experience similar character traits.

I mean, you should almost always plead not guilty, regardless of guilt. There is always the chance your lawyer can contest charges on technicalities, possibly getting some of them dismissed or lessened. Also, generally pleading not guilty means far more work for the prosecution, who will be more likely to offer a plea deal as a result.
I mean that's always what you plead at arraignment . Hell some judges in Arizona legitimately won't even allow defendants to plead guilty without having an attorney or public defender assigned yet! I had gotten a DUI like 10 years ago and had to sleep in the jail and see the judge right away in the morning. There was a young guy there who had been arrested for shoplifting and tried to plead guilty right away, but the judge wouldn't accept it. She pleaded not guilty in his place, and said he needs to speak with an attorney or wait for his public defender to be assigned to speak with first.

Used to work in traffic control. Mostly on interstates but I was filling in for a flagger one day when someone (in a bucket truck of all people) intentionally ran into me after screaming at me to “move the fucking cones”. I tried telling him he wasn’t gonna fit past the truck coming out and once the truck was out he could go in. He didn’t like that and floored it. He jumped out and started yelling he didn’t hit me (even though I was literally on the ground bleeding) and tried to get the support of a pedestrian, who told him he’s nuts. He went from “I didn’t hit you” to “I’m sorry” to “please don’t call the police” real fast. Fucker ended up losing his job and getting arrested. Went back to interstates not much longer after that. Im tired of seeing these fuckers acting like their drive is more important than people’s lives.
