Lieutenant (First Class) Ellen Ripley - "Alien"
"I say that we abandon this ship! We get the shuttle and just get the hell out of here! We take our chances and... just hope that somebody will pick us up!"
Tree in Happy Death Day. With a theme of repetition I felt they kept it engaging, with a lot of misdirection. I can’t think of the actress’s name, but I thought she really did an excellent job.
Constance in Just Before Dawn, how her body turns into the weapon she uses for the killer. Plus her whole attitude change and how she takes charge compared to her boyfriend.
There are so many incredible final girls that it's hard to pick, but I think I'll go with Sidney Prescott from *Scream*.
To me, she basically personifies everything I want out of a final girl... she's a normal person who has flaws but a good heart. She overcomes adversity through a perfect balance of wit, resourcefulness and luck. She always feels like she's in actual danger and not being protected by plot-armor. She almost never does stupid things for the sake of the plot.
And the icing on the cake is that she has a tragic backstory that informs her character growth without totally defining it, giving her victories a little extra "oomph", *and* she also goes through significant changes with each film, becoming a better and stronger woman every time.
I really loved the Jamie Lloyd story in Halloween 4.
I also thought the Kate Siegel’s character in Hush was really well done. It was basically 90 minutes of a hearing impaired woman trying to fight off a killer she couldn’t hear.
Unconventional pick. I'll say Arnold in Predator. I love how this movie turns horror slasher in the middle of the movie and all the 80s action hero dudes can't do anything but die. Then Arnie has to outwit the Predator in the end.
Ripley But my fave is Nancy
Ripley, no question
Specifically in aliens with the flamethrower/pulse rifle setup and then the final showdown in the power loader.
Grace from Ready or Not, more comedy but love it. The girl from The Hunt was pretty awesome too
I love Ready or Not. I’ve watched it at least three times now.
Erin from You’re Next. She was the living definition of fuck around and find out, and I love that about her so much.
I agree. I love that movie
She’s my ultimate final girl.
I just said this too. What a BAMF
Lieutenant (First Class) Ellen Ripley - "Alien" "I say that we abandon this ship! We get the shuttle and just get the hell out of here! We take our chances and... just hope that somebody will pick us up!"
I just watched this for the first time last week. It was awesome and nothing had been spoiled for me. So I'm seconding this.
Sidney Prescott from Scream.

Jessica Rothe
She was bad ass in Boy Kills World.
That was her!? Wow totally agree
Surpriiiiiise, Sidney
Sigourney Weaver as Ripley in Alien.
Obviously Ellen Ripley but also Dana Barat. Shall we just say Sigourney Weaver.
Yes. And. Yes.
Ellen Ripley.
Nancy Thompson
This is mine, too.
I really like Maika Monroe's character in It Follows as she tries to survive being pursued by a supernatural entity as it slaughteres everyone else.
Maika seems to have become a bit of a modern scream queen - seen her in quite a few horror movies by this point if I'm not mistaken.
Mia from Evil Dead. "Feast on this, motherfucker!"
I had to scroll too far to find this.
She deserves more credit. She ripped her own arm off to save her life! How many final girls survive without both arms?
I thought she chainsaw'd it off, then proceeded to chainsaw the last deadite in half??
She was pinned under a jeep and had to escape the demon. It was already broken. She just pulled off the rest. Metal as fuck.
I see...
I spit on your grave
Put respect on Jennifer Hills name!
Tina from Friday the 13th 7.. Only one who truly beat Jason’s ASS 😂
Sidney Prescott fan
Max from The Final Girls. She finally gets over her mothers death. Sweet and kickass movie.
You're next
Sally Hardesty - TCM Dani Ardor - Midsommar
Sally Hardesty and it isn’t even close (1974)
I just watched the movie for the first time recently and I just wanted to give her a hug after it was over. 😭
Right now I’ll say Sidney Prescott from Scream and Sienna from Terrifier 2
Hostel 2
Ripley. No one is even close to her badassery.
Kirsty Cotton from Hellraiser
Sarah Connor
Crystal May Creasey - The Hunt, ranks pretty high for me.
I came here looking for this! I was so surprised by this movie.
Ripley in Alien.
Constance in Just Before Dawn, how her body turns into the weapon she uses for the killer. Plus her whole attitude change and how she takes charge compared to her boyfriend.
nancy thompson from nightmare on elm street or ginny from friday the 13th
I Spit on Your Grave
Suspiria
For me its a tie between Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon and You're Next.
Ellen Ripley and it isn't even close.
Taylor in Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon
Came to say behind the mask. The final girl setup was just so fantastically done. Top 5 slasher movie easily
Behind the mask, Leslie Vernon
Sarah The Descent
High Tension!
Sarah from The Descent. She’s a badass trauma survivor no matter how the ending plays out.
Kate from The Thing prequel. She didn’t make a ton of mistakes and she was smart throughout most of the film.
The Blackguard’s Daughter.

I think Ripley is the true answer. My personal answer is Kelly Maroney in Chopping Mall.
Nothing even comes close to Laurie Strode and Halloween franchise minus the Rob Zombie crap.
Erin - You’re Next
*You're Next* is a great example, her story rocked
I really loved the Jamie Lloyd story in Halloween 4. I also thought the Kate Siegel’s character in Hush was really well done. It was basically 90 minutes of a hearing impaired woman trying to fight off a killer she couldn’t hear.
Grace *Ready or Not*
Final girl is Wendy in the Shining Chase scene is the female escort at the motel in My Bloody Valentine
Maxine in “X” is a new favorite. Looking forward to seeing the third film in the series next month!
Crystal from The Hunt. "YOU'RE FUUUCKED"
Crystal from The Hunt. What a fucking bad ass.
My fav is Sidney Prescott
Dana from Cabin in the Woods
The girl in You're Next, I mean..come on
Ripley!!!!
I enjoy Ready or Not it was very memorable for me. And arguably The Descent.
The answer is Ripley
Ginny from Friday the 13th part 2 wasn't too shabby
Nancey
Clear Rivers final destination
AI post.
Schwarzenegger from Predator. Get to the choppa!
Unconventional pick. I'll say Arnold in Predator. I love how this movie turns horror slasher in the middle of the movie and all the 80s action hero dudes can't do anything but die. Then Arnie has to outwit the Predator in the end.
Arnold Schwarzenegger in the predator
