Honestly I don't know anyone who doesn't have problems with Accredo. I get insurance through my wife and one of the biggest reasons for that is they use a small specialty pharmacy that's local compared to CVS/Accredo and the others. She works in medicine and is constantly being told "we didn't get the script" when she can see that they acknowledged the fax and when they said they got it. All you can really do is stay on top of the specialty pharmacy and ask your doctors office if they can see when the pharmacy acknowledged that they got the order. Sometimes telling them makes them look a little harder as opposed to just shrugging it off onto your docs office.

Hi, no advice but I completely understand your experience with Accredo. I read your post and was thinking, “Wait I didn’t write this, right???” Dealing with the incompetence at the shit show that is Accredo has been more stressful than anything else in my life. I’ve confirmed with them that they got my prior authorization twice (when they initially said they didn’t) and gave them my copay savings card info 3x and they still said they didn’t have it when it came time to schedule my Rinvoq. I got voicemails from them all of last week saying they needed a prior authorization when it was there the whole time. Anyway, that being said. I have 2 extra doses of Humira that I wish I could give you! I hope you get all this sorted out soon.

I’d call the office and tell them they need to send more info to the insurance. Give them a day or two then call again. And call insurance to see if they got the info too You could ask for budesonide or prednisone for a temp fix. You gotta stay on top of the GI office and docs, keep calling or go there. I had to call my GI office like 3 times and the insurance once My insurance denied Remicade and I’m going in Inflectra tomorrow.

I’d find out if your old GI went somewhere else and follow him/her.

i hate dealing with accredo, i always struggle to fill a 6 week prescription on time as there is an old open ended 8 week prior auth on file which they always seem to prioritize if the six week runs out. They just switch to 8 without telling us and start to say we are trying to fill too early. it’s always a nightmare and i’m always in the middle calling everyone, with everyone then telling me to call the other.
